If the company reflects the gentleman we had the pleasure of dealing with in helping my parents with their equity release, then I cannot praise them highly enough.

From the outset, Neil Clarke was professional, thorough, polite and, most importantly, caring and understanding of my parents’ circumstances and their need to release funds.

From the initial call through to the subsequent site visit, Neil made the whole process easy to understand and straightforward, which was especially important as both of my parents are approaching their 90s.

There were complications along the way, but Neil did not hesitate to step in and assist at every stage. He kept the process moving and provided us with regular updates, even while he was on holiday. That level of commitment and care really stood out to us.

The circumstances behind my parents’ need for equity release were far from favourable. However, Neil went above and beyond to help them, answer their questions and reassure them throughout the entire process.

If I ever required these services again, I would not hesitate to contact Neil.

Based entirely on our experience, we cannot fault the service we received. Neil is a credit to the company, and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone considering equity release.

5 weeks into the process and I'm no further forward. The first advisor jumped ship with no warning. I've been promised phone calls 4 times from a new advisor, and received nothing. I wouldn't put these idiots in charge of a church raffle.

Upon making an enquiry about equity release I had the pleasure of dealing with Neil Bell at Key Equity Release. What a great guy. He was friendly, professional and highly experienced. I told him I wanted to release some equity so my children could benefit from part of their inheritance now rather than later so one could pay off her mortgage and my son could get on the property ladder and for myself a new dream kitchen. Neil went through the options available and explained each one in detail to enable me to choose the the right one for me. I never at any point felt pressured to decide or proceed and prior to deciding felt very content that I fully understood everything about the process and it was what I wanted to do. My experience with Key Equity Release was completely frustrating from start to finish. After making initial contact, I received an email confirming a potential equity release figure and a scheduled phone appointment the following day.

Unfortunately, the call took place three and a half hours late. When it finally happened, it was a rushed, Q&A accompanied by noticeable background noise and child activity. The whole experience took less than 5 minutes.

The call simply repeated the online questionnaire I had already filled out. Worse still, directly after this brief call, the quoted equity release amount dropped by a third with no explanation provided. There was no meaningful discussion or guidance regarding suitable options for our financial position.

Although Key Equity Release posted a public response to my previous review stating they would look into this, I have received no direct follow-up. Based on this dismissive service, I advise others to shop around.

I was interested in equity release but had concerns about the process. I was put in touch with Key Equity release through Sunlife insurance. My advisor was Matthew Bowman. I cannot praise Matthew enough for the advice and the reassurances he gave over are consultations. He made sure l understood the process fully and all the guarantees l was going to be given over the retention of ownership of my home. He was extremely professional, pleasant and easy to talk to. Though l had a fixed idea of what l wanted he was able to identify a better deal that saved me a lot of money over the long term.
KEY equity release have the process of applying for equity release completely covered with help finding specialist solicitors and even Will cover. This made the total process very easy. The solicitors even came to my home to sign all the paperwork.
I felt fully supported through out the whole process. What initially was a stressful concern about the process quickly became a reassured and relaxed experience.

Key made the process easy and straightforward, i would like to mention Will Thom who made me feel at ease, and helped me through the process.

Key equity was a great choice to see me through the equity release process. All was very professional throughout and even five years after taking the equity out they were still willing to help me confirm a few things with me as it’s time to sell up.

Just to say that the service i received was second to non from this company . Nothing was to much trouble keeping you informed every step of the way .
