Rebtel in Turkey
Im in Turkey and want to call Europe.I use here both wifi and a data international esim (both have perfect and stabile connection). I spent many hours to make a phone call, but Rebtel does NOT connect, even using VPN.
Customer service incredibly told me that I need a local (Turkey) sim for using Rebtel in Turkey and that using a VPN is even worse.
I still can't believe their "advice".
Update:
Although their support is fast and polite, it unfortunately offered no solution, and reaching out again makes no sense to me. Regrettably, the service simply does NOT work at all in Turkey, whether with or without a VPN—even though a VPN is essential there to communicate freely.

Rubbish service
Rubbish service - didn't work at all even though I bought both the global and New Zealand specific data and call plans to be used while I was in Panama. A pure scam which cost me a small fortune and with no support or help from their customer service team. This is a scam please avoid this type of service You Have Been Warned!!

Have been using the Rebtel app since 2024 and it’s so amazing. It just works perfectly. I mostly use it for calling local numbers when roaming abroad and it works everywhere in Europe and only costs pennies per call. So good!

I'm on holiday in South Africa from the UK. I wanted to call a UK landline. I downloaded the Rebtel App and signed up for the free trial which included free minutes. I attempted the international call but had "insufficient minutes" to do so. Then I bought $5USD of credits as I needed to make one call and $5 was the smallest top up available. Again. I tried making the call but still heard the same message, " you have insufficient minutes" to make the call. Then I purchased $10 of additional credit. The same problem. So after I had wasted $15 on top ups that did not work, I gave up. Rebtel did get back to me and apologised. Hoping they will refund some or all of the $15 for my 3 minute international call which did eventually happen. Thanks Rebtel for the follow up and response.
