Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 3,512 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently complained about severely delayed deliveries, missing items, and packages being carelessly left in insecure outdoor locations instead of being brought directly to the door. Furthermore, consumers consistently found the customer service extremely unhelpful, mentioning frustrating wait times, unhelpful staff, and automated loops that made resolving account or order issues nearly impossible. Though some customers noted that their orders occasionally arrived quickly and found the support team polite and efficient. These positive reviewers warmly praised the quick resolution of problems, friendly staff interactions, and overall smooth transactions during their purchases.

Awful terrible Amazon customer…

Awful terrible Amazon customer services. Rang 3 times spends hours speaking to multiple agents just going around in circles! Absolutely poor customer service can’t resolve your problem, waste your item, EBay honestly is a thousands times better than Amazon I’m going to stop buying from Amazon and go back to EBay! Time wasting and won’t do anything to help you at all besides sending you around in circles !!!

I’ve always had good service from…

I’ve always had good service from Amazon…..until now. I cannot place an order without using the prime trial. Perhaps they think I will give in and order anyway . I will not. I have raised this issue but no solution has been offered. Perhaps a poor review might prompt some action. Hope Amazon customer support reads this

Goodbye amazon

Just been reading Alan Thomsons review and i had a very similar experience yesterday.Ordered the evil dead steelbook and received a notification at work that it had been delivered in the lettterbox .Looking at the photo unless the communal letterbox has been moved to mrs davies lovely garden with the mini windmill outside it very much looked to me that the package had been stuffed behind a wall in the gardens. On arriving back from work my worst fears were realised - not only had the envelope been stuffed down the side of a wall causing a massive gouge down the steelbook but the cretin had also left it next to a drain meaning that it was soaking wet and the water had also compromised the blu ray itself making it scrap effectivley. Its a communal entrance - all the driver had to do was ring the XXXXXXX doorbell and somebody would have let them in. Received a full refund but that isnt the point.Beyond disgusted with the lack of care and respect and this will be the last time i deal with amazon.

Amazon not good at all

Good day to you all. I’m sick to death of the Amazon drivers not doing their job, I live on the 19th floor in a block of flat. The Amazon drivers cannot be bothered to get the lift. Bring my parcel to the door. I cannot go downstairs or use the lift as I’m on an art monitor. or use the lift as I’m on a art monitoring machine machine machine machine so guess what they leave it down downstairs in a public place it gets stolen. I’m thinking about cancelling my Amazon subscription.
This is beyond a joke. I’ve complained to Amazon over the years about this. Nothing has changed. They don’t seem to care.

Biggest pile of rubbish ever

Biggest pile of rubbish ever! Why do you offer evening delivery and charge for it when you NEVER fulfill it? Not once have I had a successful evening delivery. Not ONCE! Amazon is unreliable and lazy slow drivers now just add to it.

Appalling service

Appalling service from Amazon - as a Prime customer I ordered various items that were to be delivered between 7am and 1pm - only to be informed after 1pm that they were late! - and then looking at the tracking saw that the delivery driver that had gone out with my delivery just after 8am and gone back to the shipping facility in Ipswich just after 11am. Amazon knew my items were not going to be delivered on time - but didn't care that I was left waiting in expecting them. To make matters worse - the customer service team were dreadful - patronising saying how valued i was - but in the same breathe saying they would arrange for delivery the next day - BUT - on a 8am to 10pm delivery schedule. I cancelled the order instead as I would have expected at the very least a 7am to 1pm slot the next day. As for compensation - initially offered £5 but that was withdrawn when I cancelled the order. The lesson, of course is that Amazon really do not care about its customers and they employ imo customer service people selected for their inability to show empathy or provide good customer service. I'm now looking to get the things I ordered (and then cancelled) from Amazon somewhere else.

Amazon is okay

Amazon is okay. Most of the stuff on there is decent, and if you have Prime it arrives at a good time. Although some of the things they sell aren’t as good quality, many sellers are random Chinese companies (nothing against China, it’s just they manufacture their stuff so cheap that I don’t fully trust it). The product images are also problematic as many are random images from online with the product photoshopped in, not great…
There have been instances where having Prime still sucks, such as things arriving a few days late, and their streaming service on Prime. Amazon Prime Video has way too many adverts, and isn’t worth the extra money, especially seeing as so many shows and movies you still have to pay for.
Overall Amazon isn’t the best online shop, and if your looking for clothes (which is what I use Amazon for most of the time) Vinted and eBay are much better places to get them (Vinted has tons of alt clothing, and it’s much cheaper on there too + buyer protection). One thing about eBay though, is that they do also have bigger businesses selling on there now, so it’s not all secondhand.
Also Prime Video isn’t as good as it should be, Netflix, Channel 4, BBC iPlayer, and ITVX are better.

"please leave by wall, out of sight".

"please leave by wall, out of sight".
No matter HOW I rearrange the letters I cant get it to read..."leave on doorstep in view of pavement only three feet away" ...but yer average Amazon courier seems to be able to. You dont even need to be LITERATE. You just use the half-dozen brain cells you were BORN with. Fools.

This company is not capable of preventing fraud

Fourteen times I have called Amazon about a false name and address being added to my account and orders made billing the cost to me but the products sent to someone else. During every single call I am told that they will escalate this. Within 10 minutes I received an email (that you cannot reply to) saying they have detected no unauthorised activity on my account. Yet I have sent them screenshots of the purchases and the fake name and address.
The company are incapable of investigating anything on the account. It is impossible to speak to anyone in that department.
I am now closing my account and if people have any sense they will too.
This company simply cannot be trusted and are guilty of allowing hacking to take place and then deny it has happened despite the proof!

DO NOT USE Discount-Direct through Amazon

Ordered a fan firstly from Amazon themselves which didnt turn up but no money taken and they told me to order another and they would reimburse me some of the money back as they had me waiting a month in a heat wave for no fan. So I ordered a similar fan with a company called Discount-Direct ... well they took my money and never despatched my fan. Disgusting. Im now waiting for a full refund from amazon. So bad. They need to vet these rip off companies.

Had to speak to the rudest Amazon…

Had to speak to the rudest Amazon employee I've ever dealt with. He started shouting at me and was extremely rude. When I asked to make a complaint, he said he couldn't take complaints and asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I said, "No, I'd like to make the complaint with you." He simply repeated the same thing, then hung up the phone.

Honestly, I don't understand how this is even possible. Making a complaint is so difficult and unclear, and Amazon is such a huge company that they clearly don't care about their Trustpilot reviews whatsoever.

Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service, Amazon clearly could not care less. Just because they are a huge organisation and VERY rich does not mean that they should treat their customers without care and professionalism. I ordered the eclipse glasses from Amazon for delivery yesterday. It CLEARLY stated that these glasses were in stock. Then last night so at the last minute I checked my account to see when my glasses were going to arrive so track my delivery and a comment came up saying sorry delivery will now be on Friday??!! What is the point of that when the solar eclipse is today. I spoke with an Amazon Agent and then a Manager, I had to wait 30 minutes before a Manager was available. Then I explained my frustration and honestly he could not care less - he was half hearted in his reply and when I asked why was it left to the eleventh hour to inform me that Amazon was now not honouring my delivery, he stuttered and said I do not know. This is totally unacceptable as it is too late for me to buy the glasses anywhere else as they are all sold out so thank you Amazon for your lack of compassion and for ruining tonight as I was going to go up to Parliament Hill in London to view the eclipse. Shame on you. I would never treat my customers in this way - dismissive and uncaring.

Late Delivery Again!

Yesterday I ordered a knee support which is urgently needed.
The seller stated next day delivery so I was expecting it to arrive today obviously.
All day it said delivery today and as is often happening now with amazon at around 8.45pm a message arrived stating item was delayed!
Yeah I'd already worked that out?
This is now happening time and time again with seller's saying next day delivery only for that not to happen.
Last this happened was a few week's ago with a cool mat for my dog!
Seller stated two days it actually to 10 which was to late so I returned it and was charged over £4
Amazon need to hold seller's responsible by charging them for delays and passing that on to the buyer by giving the buyer a discount for every day the item is late.

Yet another terrible experience

Yet another terrible experience. Ordered over 10 items and felt under pressure because the basket kept informing me i had only so many hours left to get next day delivery. Ordered Sunday expecte monday. Got some items left without knocking. Then told the rest would be delivered Tuesday. wasted a whole day waiting with no idea what time. then at 5pm 1 item was delivered and was informed the rest of the order was now to be delivered wednesday.
when i complained i was told i had been informed about a delay. he referred to the message st 5pm after wasting a whole waiting around. when i said i didnt like the way i was pressured to order within a specifc timeframe to get next day delivery and they didnt fullfil it. he chose to sit on the call on mute for a good 5 minutes ignoring me before i hung up.
Extemely poor customer service. Poor delivery organisation. Grabbing your money at the till with empty promises about delivery. little communication about estimated times or delays until the obvious end of day message.

Used to be good...not now

Used to be good, now unreliable.
Approx 20% of my orders don't show up on time or show up at all.
Also, items advertised but when you try to order, they aren't available for delivery to my address (Cambridgeshire)
It's all gone to crap because of unreliable third party advetisers

Terrible, Ineffective, Dishonest BEZOS WAKE UP!

Terrible, ineffective and dishonest (that's when you can actually understand what they are saying) . A parcel of ours was mistakenly collected by Post Office and returned to Amazon. The actual item due for return was posted by me at post office. The PO collection was believed to have ben cancelled - the PO made an error. However, Amazon said that they would return the package to us when it had been received at their UK Fulfilment Centre. 6 or 7 calls were made chasing this and three times I was promised that a case would be raised and the item located. Needless to say, it wasn't located and now I have spent another 20 minutes on the phone to Amazon - on this occasion I have insisted on speaking with a manager. Thie service is appalling - Bezos should be ashamed of how his business is performing . Blame international call centres with NO accountability - YES . Blame poor senior management for NOT being aware of how bad this has become and the level of customer dissatisfaction - YES . Cheap, time wasting AI Bot answering call DOESNT WORK - it just frustrates and drives people away . FIX YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATION MR BEZOS

Why does Amazon show thousands of items…

Why does Amazon show thousands of items as Next Day Delivery when all they do is defer the delivery to the day after or supply you with some BS excuse that such as, 'there's been a delay'. This means one of two things: A] Some dweeb has dropped and broken your item, or 2] Amazon has either lost the item or the van.

Don't believe their delivery commitment

You order in good faith. You select an option for delivery that they then fail to meet. They send you push notifications that are based around false information - a tracking service where you can watch the driver go past the end of your road several times, and then disappear off into the void.

You contact customer services, which appears to have an AI bot gatekeeper which has no linguistic programming - and which apologies without offering any remedy. "I'm sorry you're sorry but there is nothing I can do about it" until you get through to an agent who then tries to transfer you but can't resolve the situation.

If it works, Amazon is OK. If it doesn't it's like dealing with TalkTalk.
