My project home builder fitted a Kingspan tank at my home, but used another business to fit it. Recently the pump stopped working and I reached out to Kingspan. Even though the tank is long out of warranty, and it was fitted by another business, Matt walked me through what I needed to do to get things sorted. Great service even though they had no obligation at all.

Terrible customer service – five weeks and my BioTank still isn’t working
I’m extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Kingspan regarding my BioTank.
I first contacted Kingspan on 22 July about an issue with the tank. At that point, the service was positive: I booked an engineer to attend, and also arranged a service package afterwards.
The first engineer attended on 30 July and replaced a belt. I was advised that, because of an imbalance, there was a small chance the belt could fail again and that another visit would be required to rebalance the system. Unfortunately, just two hours after the engineer left, the alarm was going off again.
This is where the problems really began.
I called Kingspan immediately and then called every day for the following week, concerned that the tank was broken. Each day I was told I would be scheduled for another visit, but nothing happened and I received no proactive updates. Eventually, on 10 August, I received a text completely out of the blue confirming that an engineer would attend on 12 August.
The engineer attended on the 12th and advised that, if the same problem happened again, the tank would need to be emptied and jet washed. By 14 August, the tank had broken down again.
I then spoke to Tommy in the central team, who was genuinely helpful. I explained the situation and what I had been told about the tank needing to be emptied and jet washed. Although Kingspan don’t carry out this work themselves, Tommy helped arrange it through a third party. I paid more than I normally would because I simply wanted some peace of mind that everything would be coordinated and resolved alongside the engineer’s visit.
Fast forward to 24 August – five weeks after I first reported the problem.
The engineer called before arriving and didn’t even know that the tank was broken. He hadn’t been told.
The company who were supposed to empty and jet wash the tank had not been scheduled, despite me being told this had been arranged.
And, to make matters worse, the central team then told me that I hadn’t actually paid for the jet washing and are now trying to charge me an additional £137 – despite the fact that I had clearly explained what I needed when I spoke to them and had specifically paid to have this dealt with.
The engineer himself told me that this kind of communication problem happens regularly with the office team and that they simply aren’t on top of things.
So, five weeks on, I am still dealing with a broken tank, repeated call-backs that don’t happen, poor internal communication, and now additional costs because the people arranging the work haven’t communicated properly with each other.
I don’t expect everything to go perfectly when a mechanical system breaks down. What I do expect is ownership, communication and competent customer service.
Unfortunately, my experience with Kingspan has been the complete opposite. I feel like I’ve been caught in Kingspan’s internal processes and politics while simply trying to get a tank repaired.
Very disappointing – particularly when I have paid for the service and have spent weeks chasing to try to get the problem resolved.

There is a lot I could say about my time here, but unfortunately, only around 5% of it would be positive. The main positive thing I can take from my time with the company is that I met a few genuinely good people along the way.
My experience with HR was particularly disappointing. I found the department to be inconsistent and, at times, seemingly unwilling to properly investigate or address legitimate concerns. Complaints were often brushed aside rather than taken seriously, particularly when dealing with issues that required investigation or difficult conversations. In my experience, it often felt as though how seriously an issue was taken depended on who was raising it.
The office environment was another major negative. The overall atmosphere was poor, with cliques and what felt like exclusionary groups making it difficult to feel part of the wider team. Some team leaders appeared to have little time or patience for employees, and I witnessed people asking for help only to be made to feel as though they were a nuisance for doing so. There was a noticeable amount of office politics, and the combination of this, poor communication and inconsistent management made the workplace unnecessarily stressful.
I also felt that middle and senior management were disconnected from the realities of working on the ground. From my experience, there seemed to be a significant gap between management's perception of the workplace and the reality experienced by employees. Speaking to people who had left, I found that similar concerns about pay, management and the working environment were common reasons for doing so.
If you are looking for a well-paid job, I would also think carefully before applying. The workload and level of stress did not, in my opinion, reflect the salary. Working extremely hard for around £26–27k, while dealing with the pressures of the environment, ultimately left me feeling completely exhausted and stressed. For me, the salary was simply not worth the impact the job was having.
The approach to employees' lives outside of work was another area I found particularly frustrating. Having children, dealing with sickness, or needing to attend school-related commitments can be difficult when the expectation seems to be that work should always come first. I was particularly disappointed by comments and attitudes that appeared to suggest employees' family responsibilities were of little importance compared with the needs of the business. The overall culture could sometimes feel like a constant guilt trip for taking time away from work.
Ultimately, I am genuinely glad that I left. Leaving has had a hugely positive impact on both my wellbeing and my life outside of work, and I consider it one of the best decisions I have made.
There are undoubtedly some good people working here, and I wish them all the best. However, based on my experience, I would struggle to recommend the company as a place to work. Until management is prepared to genuinely listen to employees at all levels, take concerns seriously and address the underlying issues within the workplace culture, I would personally think twice before joining.

Incompetent and unhelpful customer service. So difficult to get them to respond and can only seem to get a response when put senior executives on the mails. Really awful customer service and not what one would expect when spending money with a company. Just altogether a brutal bad customer experience and incompetent customer service and support.

Absolutely fantastic service from Oisin at Kingspan technical support. I had an issue with my new Sensit device and messed it up during installation. Oisin was able to support my quickly and resolved my issue with no problems. Highky recommend the device and the customer service if you need to. Thank you Oisin!!

Upgraded to a sensit system but after nearly a month now I get no consistent daily readings on average it will update 2 out of 3 days and therefore is unreliable. Tried different locations but seems to make no difference. Trying a final location as close to the tank as practical but not holding out any hope…Not really worth all this hassle.

I am absolutely appalled by Kingspan's predatory warranty practices. My Kingspan Tribune HE cylinder (Model: TI180ERP, Serial No: 7470980) was installed in June 2021. It is only 5 years old, yet its inner vessel has already suffered a catastrophic failure.
A Gas Safe registered engineer officially diagnosed an internal heating coil failure (cross-flow leakage). High-pressure mains water is actively back-feeding into our central heating circuit (rising from 0.9 to 1.1 bar in 45 mins), posing a severe risk of central heating chemical water contaminating our domestic hot water.
My family is currently left ENTIRELY WITHOUT WATER. When we contacted customer service (agent Pakeeza Waheed, Quote SQ0078534), Kingspan demanded an upfront payment of £343.85 just to send an engineer, and flatly refused to refund this fee even if their own manufacturing defect is proven on their 5-year-old product.
Extorting hundreds of pounds from a family left with no water due to your premature product failure is disgraceful. Do not trust their advertised "25-year inner vessel guarantee" – it is completely worthless. Avoid Kingspan at all costs!
--- Update 10/07/2026 ---
I have attached a photo of the failed Kingspan cylinder that had to be completely removed from my property. A premium product lasting only 5 years is a joke. Kingspan’s refusal to take responsibility for this catastrophic internal failure, despite clear diagnosis from a Gas Safe engineer, shows their complete lack of customer care. I am incredibly disappointed with their predatory warranty clauses and will never buy from this brand again.

Non-existent Customer Service. The readings from my oil tank sensor have remained unchanged for nearly 2 months plus it is showing a warning sign. Their default position is to refuse to accept that the sensor is faulty and make no effort to honour their warranty. They don’t even seem to keep a record of their warranties as I had to send them a copy of their own email confirming that I had registered the warranty. One of their ‘advisors’ told me to change the battery even though it would invalidate the warranty! As for their call back system - forget it they’re just not interested!

A watchman advanced sonic oil measurement device came with a new oil tank i had installed. I decided to upgrade to the SENSiT USB transmitter that would apparently link the oil tank to my phone. Do not waste your tine doing this. The set up process is appallingly complex with requirements to provide all contact details including photos of your tank from all angles. This was to 'register for 10 year guarerntee". i didnt want that guarentee (the tank is new with a 15 warrenty). I therefore didnt bother taking these pictures. Because if this the software wouldnt allow me to register my tank at all. The dongle then didnt work. On trying again the app told me that the dongle was already registered and i couldnt proceed at all. I've seen apps made by children that are better software. The plug in 10 bar thing still works but the link to a phone (which should be very easy) appears to be a grift to gain information on the pretense that its necessary. I just want a way of monitoring my oil on my phone, Kingspan make this simple task impossible. Awful.

Poor products and terrible customer service, as a groundwork’s subcontractor who has installed hundreds of foul systems over the last 20 years I will never touch another Klargester product again. We installed a foul pump chamber of Klargester’s on a new dwelling just over a year ago, the chamber itself has only been in use since the clients moved in June ‘25. It’s a house of only 2 elderly occupants and 4 weeks ago this pump failed beyond repair rendering it unusable. It took Klargester 2 weeks to send someone to site to confirm what I had already determined and it’s now 2 weeks on from that and I have had to have a very stern conversation with their rep to try and get a quote sent tomorrow to place an order for the works, I am informed their warranty, for what it’s worth, only lasts a year from delivery date. Never once have they contacted me to update me on the process and I have to constantly contact them to be left on hold for ages. Do not waste your money on one of their products, there are plenty of other more reputable manufacturers out there.

The Watchman Sensit took a bit of getting used to at first, especially because it kept disconnecting and I honestly wasn’t sure what was going on. I’m not very technical, so I was a bit worried I’d done something wrong during the setup. After speaking with support, lady Isabell, explained it was just that the tank was too far from the Sensit unit. Once we moved it a bit closer everything settled down and it’s been working perfectly ever since. What impressed me most was how simple they made it sound, even for someone like me you know, not the most techy person around :). There was a couple of mix‑ups at the start and I probbaly pressed the wrong button once or twice, but in the end it was much easier than I thought.

I started to use this company equipment almost from the beginning when it came to the market and with every update my experience was getting more and more comfortable because the equipment were getting more stable and more helpful with control of the fuel in several fuel tanks I have. A few times in early years I had lost the communication between the fuel tank device and the company server and I called the company asking for help and had very fast help. Thank you Marcin Smidoda for always find time to help me. I’m very impressed with fast help from you and always respectful attitude.
I did advised my friends to use this company service and wouldn’t hesitate to advise to any person or company that needs to have constant control of the fuel amount in their fuel tanks to use this company service.

Sounds like a trouble free solution to monitor oil level in tank.
Couldn't be further from the truth the equipment is unreliable. Doesn't provide any confidence and had to resort to dipping the tank a complete waste of time.
Customer service and guarantee is a waste of time. The warning triangle on the unit indicted a low battery ( albeit new) Customer services said ignore the warning, oil level not changing so changed the battery which apparently invalidates the warranty.!
Never buy this unit or deal with company unreliable equipment with nil Customer service back up
