Expensive saving on one flight as it's impossible to cancel! Avoid!
Booked a flight a couple of years ago and might have saved a bit of money at the time but have more than paid for it since in unwanted automatic renewals which is more or less impossible to cancel, and time spent waiting on the phone as that is Opodo's preferred route to cancellation so the agents can persuade you to stay, then the price will go up again and you won't be able to speak to a human unless you have a lot of time to wait in a mysteriously long queue. I've been waiting over an hour now and there is no sign that the queue is getting shorter. Very shabby.

This platform is a scam! They offer you great deals but don’t mention there will be a forced prime membership. They store and keep your credit card info on file and then charge you a £100 membership fee about two weeks later. Not worth it and avoid at all costs

Don’t take prime membership.
Don’t take out Opodo Prime. They more or less give it to you and then when you ring to cancel - somehow they have no record, they take £99.99 out of your account and tell you it’s non refundable. Even though I rang them two days before expiry. Absolute sham.

I booked a flight through Opodo and was signed up for a Prime subscription during the checkout process without it being clearly communicated that I was entering into a paid annual contract. After a two-week free trial, €119 was charged to my account.
I sent a formal written withdrawal citing § 312j and § 356 BGB — under German consumer law, a subscription bundled into a booking must be triggered via a clearly labelled payment button, and the right of withdrawal cannot be waived without proper notice. Opodo's response completely ignored these legal arguments and replied with a boilerplate email stating the fee is "non-refundable according to our terms and conditions." Their own terms and conditions do not override statutory consumer rights.
I have since filed a chargeback with my bank and registered with the ZEV (Zentrum für Europäischen Verbraucherschutz) class action against Opodo and eDreams, currently pending before the Hanseatisches Oberlandesgericht Hamburg (Az. 6 VKl 2/26), which covers exactly this practice.
If you have been charged for Opodo Prime after a flight booking and had a refund refused after withdrawing within 14 days, look up the ZEV Klage-Check at cec-zev.eu — you may be entitled to up to €120 back.
