Posh Eyes Opticians Oxford Reviews 

Well hopefully this review will elicit a response from Julian, who seems to ignore emails. I sent a pair of Oakley frames for a reglaze with Zeiss lenses back on 11th June; arrived with Posh Eyes via Royal Mail in 48 hours and that is when things went wrong... the frames managed to get lost on their way to Zeiss for the glazing! Something to do with a Royal Mail/Courier mix up; unfortunately, whilst a replacement frame was ordered from Oakley on 9th July; I'm still waiting for a response from Julian as to when I'm going to receive my glasses back (they've had plenty of time to get the replacement frames back for reglazing). Now my emails are being ignored; one very unhappy customer and whilst I appreciate issues happen, it is how promptly and courteously a company resolves things, especially as it has now been nearly 6 weeks since my original order was placed. If I don't hear anything in the next few days then I'll be issuing a letter before action. I would avoid this company and go elsewhere.

Absolutely can't fault this company. Uploaded my prescription and other details to their website, with no issues whatsoever. Delivered within two weeks, and they fit perfectly, and the exact same vision as my prescription glasses.

Brilliant website but I needed some help and guidance so I had to call, Julian was quick to answer my questions, very knowledgeable and very patient.

I was having some unusual glasses reglazed Huawei Smart Glasses 2 (Brow line edition) with some Zeiss lenses, posh eyes went away confirmed it could be done and got back to me with a highly competitive price very quickly.

A little over a week I had my glasses back to me regazed all in all a great friendly service and very speedily completed.

Posh Eyes are highly recommend and I will be using again.

I originally contacted posh eyes in relation to obtaining some geniune Rayban prescription lens replacements. Julian was extremely helpful and informative and through our conversations I actually went ahead with replacing my older Oakley lenses which I didn’t know / realise was possible. Process was extremely smooth and Julian was communicative and helpful throughout. I have another pair of glasses I would like doing and I won’t hesitate to use this company again.

A truly brilliant service. Professional, speedy and thorough. I got a branded pair of glasses much cheaper than an unbranded pair of the High Street. The process was very simple and I would definitely use them again.

Company takes the full 10 working days to mark as dispatched, but still not actually dispatched as Royal Mail don't have the parcel.

When I rang earlier in the week got a story about glasses going missing on the way to the lab, so they aren't dispatching them anyway.

This company is drop shipping and lie about dispatched. I'll never use again. Ordered 20/5, 6/6 still nothing.

EDIT2: Now two days later, Royal Mail still don't have the parcel. Marking dispatched is a therefore a untrue, which I think makes it a lie. I rang and was hung up on as apparently telling the truth is rude and they will no longer speak to me. Contacting trading standards, this company is an utter joke.

I spoke to Julian who was very helpful in advising me on the best lenses for my varifocal prescription.
The new glasses arrived very quickly and are perfect.
The service is excellent and my place to use for all future glasses.

I've ordered replacement lenses after 2 previous successfull experiences of buying 2 pairs of glasses with multifocal/varifocal lenses in the past few years.
Service is personal, helpful and professional.
All is authentic genuine and new.

I have a difficult/strong prescription but the advice I received from posheyes regarding suitable varifocal lenses was fantastic and I'm delighted with them.

Julian was exceptional. i received first class service bearing in mind that I have special lenses. His recommendations have worked perfectly. Highly recommend Posh Eyes.

Oakley didn’t make lenses for the frames I wanted. Julian was incredibly helpful and went out his way to assist and offer expert advice on alternative lenses and Oakley frames, options etc. My chosen glasses arrived super quick and look fantastic. Posh eyes and Julian was a perfect experience - great service, expert advice, quick delivery, top product, great communication & keen to ensure the customer is happy. I will 100% be using them again.

Utterly Useless.

I ordered a pair of Oakley Sunglasses that were "in stock" on the website. I eventually get an email from Julian telling me that they were a "special order" and that my existing lenses didn't fit the new frame.

I acknowledged the error and politely requested a refund as no work had been performed, request was denied by Julian as it was a "special order" weird, because they're a common frame in the Oakley range. Julian could fit expensive new Oakley lenses though, rather conveniently.

I then requested the frame be sent out as i've ordered lenses from a laboratory, only to receive no response and my old lenses arrive in the post and a refund email from the company.

I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere, this chap really needs to find another line of work, retail and customer service isn't a strong point.

Absolutely incredible service.

I've been a full-time glasses wearer for 2 years and each summer I've threatened to buy prescription lenses for my Oakley Frogskins. Each year I've struggled to justify the cost the high street opticians want to charge for genuine Oakley lenses. And yes, they are superior lenses!

I found Posh Eyes a year ago but didn't take the plunge. It seemed risky to buy such expensive lenses online, but this year I decided to go for it. I'd already made contact with them via Social Media to verify they were indeed genuine Oakley lenses, and so ordered online.

Communication was excellent and Julian was very clear how long they'd take. Today they've arrived and I must say they are perfect.

Don't be concerned about ordering online with them - they're fantastic. And when I need new glasses I'll be sure to get them from Posh Eyes.

Ordered £140 sunglasses from them arrived today i opened case seen i had beed sent a hideous wrong colour i emailed straight away asked to return them for ones i ordered or refund and was refused any help but i could pay a further £70 plus delivery for lenses i originally wanted. So BEWARE if you order from them 😡😡😡

Overall I am very impressed with the service I’ve had from this company. Glasses arrived with thinned lens, excellent result and appear very good quality. I always get the thinnest lens as I have a high prescription and have used other companies online that I would have considered excellent in the past however posh eyes so far appear to be the best I’ve used. Delivery after dispatch was very fast. Small gripe would be that some communication re status of order could be improved but would definitely use again and have no problem recommending.

Having struggled with standard high street varifocals for some time Posh Eyes was a revelation! Rather than just offering three or four variations on the basic lens (as had been the case with my previous chain optician) Julian has access to a number of manufacturers meaning that he can truly customise your glasses. He really took the time to find out exactly what I wanted from my varifocals and, consequently he was able to recommend specific Zeiss lenses which, combined with superlight Oakley frames, have made life much easier! So pleased was I that I ordered a pair of sunglasses too. My husband has also just bought his new glasses from Posh Eyes and is delighted with them; he says they are far better than all his previous high street ones!
Julian provides an amazing service with excellent 'products' and I have already recommended Posh Eyes to friends and family and will continue to do so. I only wish I'd discovered Posh Eyes a few years ago - especially as they are based just up the road from me ;-)
