15 years ago I would have said never…

15 years ago I would have said never touch Razer with a 10 foot pole. 10 years ago the same thing. Their quality assurance was horrid back then. 5 years ago Razer was the first, and so far the only company that I know of to start offering optical switches on their keyboards and mice. Because of this I decided to give them a new shot at winning me over. I have a Tartarus pro, a razer board, and razer mouse now. They really turned their QA around as well as having optical switches that no other company is doing yet. For anyone wondering optical switches are the fastest there is because it's a laser. Corsair has the magnetic switches, but they are still slower. Speed go Razer. Tactile feeling go Corsair or get a mechanical switch board.

Premium products treated as disposable

Premium products treated as disposable

I purchased a Razer BlackWidow V4 X mechanical keyboard expecting durability, repairability, and support consistent with a premium product.

The keyboard had approximately six months of actual use. I then lived abroad for a year and a half, during which it remained stored and unused. After returning, one key began failing. The rest of the keyboard remains in excellent, near-new condition.

The warranty had expired by calendar date, which I fully acknowledged. Given the extremely limited use, I asked Razer to consider a goodwill exception. They escalated the case twice and refused.

More disturbing than the warranty refusal is Razer’s complete lack of a repair solution.

Razer stated that it does not repair peripheral devices. It would not replace the defective switch, provide a replacement switch, or offer any practical route to restore the keyboard. Its only solution was a 15% discount so I could buy another Razer product.

One failed component has therefore rendered an otherwise perfectly functional premium keyboard unreliable, and Razer’s answer is effectively: discard it and purchase another one.

This is an extraordinarily wasteful way to design and support consumer electronics. A mechanical keyboard should be one of the most repairable computer peripherals available. Treating an entire keyboard as disposable because one switch has failed creates unnecessary electronic waste and shows no meaningful concern for product longevity or environmental responsibility.

Razer markets premium hardware but appears unwilling to provide even basic post-warranty repair infrastructure. The customer carries the full cost, the defective product becomes waste, and Razer attempts to generate another sale through a discount code.

The issue is not merely that the warranty expired. The issue is that Razer sells expensive products without providing a credible repair path once that warranty ends.

Based on this experience, I would not purchase another Razer product. Customers considering the brand should understand that even a nearly unused peripheral may be treated as disposable when a minor component fails.

Great after sales support

After purchasing my new Razer Laptop from the UK store I had a request to my invoice. The team were fantastic, they provided daily updates on the process that needed to be done. Ultimately they managed to solve my problem with haste. It's unusual for these online portals to provide daily updates and complete your request so quickly. Great work.

Absolutely garbage

Absolutely garbage. The Razer Synapse app keeps switching my keyboard settings on its own. Not even AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT could solve it. It's catastrophic. Do not buy this keyboard.

Razer peripherals are often great, but..

Razer peripherals are often great, however Razer customer service, in all honesty, is terrible. I have never seen a company that takes longer to resolve customer issues and say the same thing over and over again like the customers are children. Somehow, a big company like Razer only has the capacity to send 1 email per 24 hours to a customer, and the first 5 emails is asking for the same thing in different sentence phrasing. And the moment you show any sign of frustration, it's the entire process all over again. So although I love Razer products, it's more worth your time to go with a different choice.. which is disappointing.

TERRIBLE DELIVERY CARE

I have not yet even tested the product; but I ordered the Black Shark v3 Pro Headset and it came without paper fillings leaving my headset to freely slam and bang around the cardboard delivery box. Do we think that a 250$ headset being shipped on plane, shipping trucks and, fedex trucks would be okay to ship in without loose packaging fillings?

Disappointing Customer Service

I purchased a $130 Blackwidow Keyboard V4 from Target for Christmas last year, my son used it for just over a month and started to notice the S and D keys were not responding/delayed. He put it back in the box and when he brought it back with him over summer break, we were told by Razor that the limited warranty expired. On the box it states 2 year warranty. It's brand new, clean, hardly used and they would not replace it. Can't figure out why they denied our claim (website is horrible). I will be avoiding this company in the future. If they just looked at this keyboard, they would see it is brand new. Disappointed :( Poor quality and poor customer service.

The Razer Kraken V4 Pro I purchased as sold by Amazon, appears to be stolen at Razer Support.

In January, I purchased a Razer headset from amazon.com (listed as Sold by: Amazon). I contacted support in February, which led to a months-long support process. Eventually, my issue was resolved (it was a Synapse-related issue; they collected my logs, and a subsequent Synapse update fixed it).

For the past few weeks, the headset's microphone won't retract back inside, I cannot turn off the lighting no matter what I do, and roughly every 2-3 hours during Discord communications, my voice sounds robotic.

All these issues piled up and became unbearable, so I entered my serial number on the Razer website. However, the screen I saw indicated that the product was marked as stolen. Since I paid around $400 for it, I am quite sure I didn't steal it :D Additionally, I bought the product from the official retailer, Amazon, not from a 3rd-party seller. When I check my order screen, I can clearly see the "Sold by: Amazon" label.

I told Razer that I could provide all kinds of evidence, including:

My bank statement and the billing name on it

The buyer's name on the Amazon order

The physical product box and serial number

Proof of Amazon account ownership

The official Amazon invoice

Even though I stated that I have all of this information on hand and can easily prove that I didn't steal the product, they simply replied with copy-paste responses saying they cannot help me. I am being completely and unfairly victimized in this situation. My headset is defective, and they are refusing to provide support. When I can definitively prove that I did not steal the product, why am I being denied support for a Razer product for which I paid almost the price of 4 standard headsets?

This Garbage NEVER Goes Away ! Convinced it's a Trojan in Disguise

Uninstall a million times -- ALWAYS come back ! Just like Herpes. Try and stop the processes -- ALWAYS comes back. Just like Herpes. This is some real garbage and I am CALLING OUT Razer ! Making software almost impossible to uninstall is one of the oldest dirty tricks in the book and this VERY LOW RATED COMPANY seems to have mastered the trade. Of course, Razer hopes you'll just give up and keep their spyware. For all the things applications like this track about you -- it's not worth it. If you have to Create Account to use ANY type of software -- it's Spyware or Control Ware.
----------------------------------------------------------
About Razer's reviews: There's a discerning pattern here. Follow the chronology of the reviews: Half a dozen bad ones with good descriptions of the problems, them a few fast 5-star reviews with very little text -- "Works great since I got it !", type stuff. That pattern repeats throughout all the reviews. Certainly an untrustworthy company at best.

Disappointed with my Razer after-sales…

Disappointed with my Razer after-sales support experience handled by Ban Leong Technologies Sdn Bhd. Although my warranty claim was eventually completed and I received a replacement mouse, the support process was frustrating and needs major improvement.

Communication was poor throughout the entire process. Updates were vague and insufficient, and I had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic information about my case status, the next steps, and the expected timeline.

Customers should not have to chase for updates during a warranty claim. A proper after-sales service should provide clear communication and proper guidance from start to finish. Resolving the issue is important, but the customer experience during the process matters as well.

I hope Ban Leong Technologies takes steps to significantly improve their after-sales communication and support quality.
