Terrible service

Shocking company, never deliveries on time. Always say delivery attempted except we've been waiting all day for parcel to be delivered and it was 20 stops away then suddenly says they attempted to delivery and that they missed us. Need to sort your drivers out. Was also meant to be delivered yesterday which is frustrating as it was meant to be a birthday present for today.

Important birthday wishes late

My daughter posted an 80th birthday card 1st class on Thursday 3rd September for delivery in time for the 7th September. It did not arrive until 9th September. Hardly what is expected of first class. Both Mother and daughter were really unhappy.

Just such poor customer service

So, received a text from RM saying expect delivery late morning today. By lunchtime, this had changed to late afternoon. At 5.30, I'm made aware that the delivery couldn't be made as 'no one was in'. There was, but to the best of my knowledge, it's not 'signed for' anyway. Then, later, when checking the tracking, it says 'property inaccessible'. Unlikely. But come one..which is it?

Took to the phone to moan (no email), told waiting time 50 minutes. But I thought, 'I'm seeing this through'. Got to 35 minutes (with an update it's still another 40, total if true, hour and 15 mins.) and they said the 'phone lines are closing.

But, clearly, someone is lying. Extraordinarily disappointed in RM..their usually very good posties are holding it together.

They keep sending to the wrong delivery…

They keep sending to the wrong delivery office . My package was supposed to be next day delivery by 13.00 and two days in still no idea when it will be delivered. Shocking and totally unacceptable and you can never talk to them in the phone as they cut you off after 20 minutes wait !

An insult to the Royal Snail

Over FOUR days and still waiting for a small package posted First Class in UK.
A call to Kingsbridge - "estimated waiting time 38 minutes..."....after being regaled with chamber pot music for TWENTY minutes they hung up...
After being asked to "show kindness and consideration to our staff", I, the customer am treated with contempt and disrespect...
This business model may be the norm in Czechoslokia, but here in the UK it is best described as "taking the piss"....
The only problem being that Royal Snail would doubtless miss the toilet bowl...

This is a shockingly bad service and I would warn business customers against using RM to send overseas packages. Firstly I tried to log a complaint on their website form as business customer, however since we don't have a business account with RM we had to log the complaint as a personal customer, and to make matters even more frustrating the RM form doesn't recognise French postcodes, which is where the recipient is based!!!

Here is my main complaint, I paid postage of £10 plus £30 for duty pre-paid on behalf of my customer in France in August. RM sent me a card in September to tell me the package was underweight and so I immediately paid the surplus online of £3.50. Instead of sending the parcel onto the end customer in France, RM have sent the package back to our business in the UK. Why would they do this and what a waste of time and money...

I want to make an official complaint against royal mail for the expense and inconvenience caused.

Awful service

Awful service. Last week a bloke came to the door with my mail that had been delivered to his house.

Just had an email today to say they tried to deliver a package but there was nobody in. Pack of lies. Some mail was delivered today but this package must have been left in his bag. If no one's in, they leave it next to the door in any case.

Luckily, my supplier gives the opportunity to use other delivery services. I'll use the alternative in future.

Usual rubbish service!

I received a message saying delivery attempted - no answer, this is for a tracked 48 parcel I am waiting for. Someone was home and we have also checked the cctv, no one has attempted delivery! I have complained about this in the past, the company just lies and says that they attempted delivery. This item is required for work and now we are relying on tracked 48 to attempt re-delivery tomorrow when they didn't even attempt delivery in the first place!

Total Rubbish service again!

Lack of quality communication. Order returned to sender.

Ordered from a soap company. Order was returned to sender with no explanation even though the address was correct.

The email stating this was ten days after the order was placed with email to me stating "there was a problem with your order" No explanation of why.

Waiting over 45 minutes to speak to an advisor about what has gone wrong. A pure case of information quarantine, really poor service actually, no real service at all! Very disappointed.

I am disabled and rely on parcel…

I am disabled and rely on parcel deliveries. My parcel has been at the local sorting office for days, every day I get the notification. Out for delivery due to be delivered between 10.30 and 15.30. Another day wasted. If Royal Mail can’t deliver a decent service like the other carriers, they should pack it all in and make way for something 100 percent commercial, something better. Good business always fills a vacuum.

Once again

Once again, I was disappointed. The parcel was delivered somewhere completely different. The photo as proof was not my door. There was no GPS coordinates, so the parcel was lost forever and there is no way to recover it. If it were up to me, I would never have used Royal Mail. It's a disgrace these days, such a botched job. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Not fit for purpose

Not fit for purpose. What is the point of offering 24 or 48 hour delivery and not being able to guarantee it. Had the following message on Monday
“We've received your parcel. Delivery is due:
Tuesday, 8 September 2026*
Delivery is estimated between:
10:40am and 12:40pm*”
I’m still waiting Wednesday afternoon.
Note the asterisk - a get out clause for poor service -
“Please be aware any time or date shown is not a guarantee.”

Wiltshire Royal Mail have got so bad…

Wiltshire Royal Mail have got so bad over the last few years, worse than Ervin and yodel, they are not honest with 48hour post,Delivery attempted when they never have tried
Mark things delivered when they have not been
Deliver to wrong address and damaged packages
It’s a shame they used to be the best
Now the worst

Non existent service.

Non existent service.
Fir the last 3 weeks there gave been no parcel deluveries made by Royal Mail in my area.
When I asked the letter delivery postman he informed me that parcels are not being delivered due to staff shortages. They put their prices up and do nothing to ensure customers receive a service they gave paid for.

Barely open depot and useless barcodes

The local depot in Newcastle, it’s only open for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. The service is terrible and when barcode reminders are dropped off, it turns out they don’t even work. You have to click the other option. Only the Royal Mail could create a close loop in suggesting you go to the app and then back to the website.

Rochdale depot poor management.

Rochdale depot back up to it`s old tricks of 5 day first class service. Subscription Economist magazine due to be delivered 5th Sept, actually delivered 12:38 hrsWednesday 9th Sept. No fault of the regular Postman who is brilliant, but every time he is on his weekend or long weekend rest days, the post isn`t delivered. This is the direct result of poor managment. The matter has been raised 10`s of times over the past 5 years and never resolved.
