What an appalling service i just…
What an appalling service i just received Tesco Scarborough store - i had drunk a bottle of Blandy's as i often do an wanted some more so rather than pay deliveroo price around £25 per bottle as i have done in the past i thought i would walk with my BLIND dog and purchase them myself 2 bottles at around £15 each half to drink tonight and the rest another day.
I enter the store when the security guy said no dogs so i tied him outside where i could see him - i asked the security where to find Blandy's Mederia wine he seemed to not have a clue but tried to find me a bottle, when he got back it became apparent he misheard me and thought i said "Brandy" so i said no "Blandy's " he then directed me to a woman behind the counter to the entrance to the right (where they sell cigarettes) - so i ask her for 2 bottles, she looks me up and down like i was some drunkard and said "sorry i think you've had enough" - like WTF i could have ordered it to be delivered with NO problems yet this seeming MAN hating women (jobs worth) feels like she has to get busy all righteous like she saving the planet or something - yet the first thing that GREETS you when you enter this store is crates of LAGER - so quite rightly i got annoyed as i spend the time to walk myself and my blind dog to this store and explained with some expletives my frustration to which the once helpful security guard decided to get in my face like tesco actually value him or something paid loyalty if you ask me then from nowhere some bald guy is next to me on his phone calling the police like i've held the store up god forbid someone has an opinion - i wish now i had stayed at home and paid the deliver price of £50 had it delivered with NO issue's instead of trying to save £20 by walking instore - absolutely disgraceful who do these people who work their think they are super hero's?

Thought needed on new design of store
I'm grateful that Tesco Grimsby has been able to update the store, though this has been disruptive. I wanted to ask why the freezer cabinets are so dark. I have normal eye sight but cant imagine how someone with any visual challenges would manage. There are rows of dark glass cabinets as part of the upgrade? To see what's in the cabinets is made more difficult by this design choice. Please add some lights to the display. I forsee that this will impact sales if customers are not able to actually see and find the products.

Executive Office dismisses serious food safety hazard (bone in mince) affecting a child
Deeply shocked by the complete lack of accountability from Tesco’s Executive Office regarding a serious food safety failure. My 14-year-old daughter bit directly onto a hard, sharp 7mm foreign object (clearly animal bone) in a pack of Tesco beef mince, causing a severe choking and dental hazard.Tesco has flatly refused to take responsibility or offer any form of goodwill gesture for the distress caused. Instead, they are hiding behind a supplier loophole, claiming the object couldn't pass through a 3mm factory mincing plate. This completely ignores the fact that brittle bone fractures and splinters under industrial pressure. To completely shut down a safety complaint handled by the Executive’s Office (Ref: LL/6200025) with zero accountability is disgraceful. As a long-term customer, I am disgusted by the lack of care for a child's safety. I have retained the remaining fragment of the object and will be taking this further.
Not the Tesco we knew anymore!
I have visited Tesco Ely today and as usual walk around to find something I might like (I visit Tesco every day for daily sh what I saw on the shelf and price it was labelled as did not match what I was charged on the till.
Last time I had this experience in Ely Tesco was more than 15 years ago and I was assured by the manager whom seen me at the entrance tills and assured me that it was a one off mistake and refunded me double the difference back and promised it will be corrected at the system so others customers do not get over charged.
Not today! Once I realized I was overcharged and went to reception tills the young lady served me made me feel like I was bothering her for nothing and I had to show her pictures to prove that I was overcharged. ( Normally they will ask for somebody to go and check it)
The option I was given was to return it and get my money back which is what I had to do.
Being a regular Tesco customer since 1970's looks like I have to consider visiting other shops as well from now on!

Absolutely ridiculous and misleading.
Absolutely ridiculous and misleading.
After shopping at Tesco, I was given a receipt offering 8p off per litre of fuel. Naturally, I drove to a Tesco petrol station expecting to use the discount, only to be told that it apparently can only be used at a petrol station connected to a large Tesco store.
Where exactly is this made clear to customers?
What is the point of printing and handing out these so-called “discount” vouchers if customers only discover the restrictions AFTER they have driven to the petrol station? It feels deliberately misleading and like a complete waste of customers’ time.
Tesco, if a voucher has important restrictions, PRINT THEM CLEARLY ON THE VOUCHER instead of expecting customers to somehow guess where it is valid.
I specifically drove there to use this discount and was simply refused. This is not a promotion – it’s an incredibly frustrating customer experience.
Don’t be fooled by these fuel discount vouchers. Check the small print and where they are actually accepted before wasting your time and fuel driving there.
Very disappointing from a company as large as Tesco.
Tried to contact Tesco regarding club…
Tried to contact Tesco regarding club card vouchers and impossible to find an email address and WhatsApp link/no. Did not work. Made request short while ago and was not actioned and due to time lapsing between my request and Tesco’s action, my vouchers expired and they have not actioned my other request to mail vouchers to me. I decided to give up chasing their incompetence and inability to provide easy good customer service. I think it was better to get on with my life and save my sanity and maintain my will to live,

Customers really do not matter to Tesco…
Customers really do not matter to Tesco we might be giving them our hard earned money but that is really all they are interested in. Customer service is not even in their vocabulary. As many other Tesco Telford customers have told me their delivery service is below one star. For months they cancelled milk, dairy and frozen products, not to mention conditioner, deodorant and other items that you know are in store at the last minute. I understand the hot weather causes all sorts of problems with their fridges and freezers but they can afford to replace them and instead of waiting for loyal customers, like me, to jump ship, they should have been proactive and replaced them immediately. The last straw was when they cancelled 14, yes fourteen, items from my order the night before delivery. It is totally not acceptable with no explanation. When they cancelled my order completely there was no explanation. Tesco we are human and keep you in business so surely an explanation and an apology in stead of your order tomorrow is cancelled. Mind you should we be surprised when you book your Christmas slot early order those special items and have them confirmed only to be told when your order at Christmas is delivered that it is out of stock Well no more, after years of loyal weekly deliveries I have cancelled my delivery saver plan and gone to a reliable delivery from Ocado, who actually treat me as I deserve, respect and explanations. Shame on you Tesco for letting down your loyal customers. You don’t deserve us.
Terrible service in store for delivery
Less if I could, once again 5 items missing, all in store , daughter checked as soon as receipt came through, charge a fortune for delivery and then lies . Send substitutions when asked for not to. Disgraceful this is talbot Green store
Dan in Petersfield ☑️
Shopped in Petersfield today, store number 3015. Very little bread and in particular my favourite, sunflower seeded! Found a staff member (Dan) who made enquiries and confirmed the delivery hadn’t been ‘scanned in’ yet but he would do that soon and we could return later in our shopping. He then took the trouble to seek us out and presented us with the required loaf. Hats off to young Dan. Thank you.
Horrible service by Modupe for my delivery
I used Tesco Online and my delivery was to be made by Modupe. She was almost 2hrs late and didn’t even know where my apartment was. When I tried to direct her, she was shouting at me on the phone. When she eventually brought my delivery, she didn’t even have the courteousy to apologise. I was late for so many appointments and she couldn’t care less. Worst service EVER!
Tesco without tea.
Visited The Cafe at Tesco Barnstaple yesterday, no tea available. Sold out signs on the order boards. When asked staff told the machine was broken. As we finished our meal they started to bring out tea.

Most staff are very rude very and unprofessional. They all extremely unhappy unhelpful
Very upsetting as I spent lots of money every week there as is close to my house and you get treated like that .
Excellent service and kindness!
I ordered home food delivery for my 94 year old Mum on the 31st August 2026 (TQ148HE). In the comments, I request the driver bring the delivery into Mum's kitchen and put it on the kitchen side for her.
This evening her driver 'David' not only delivered her food and put it on the side for her but asked her if she wanted him to make her a cup of tea! What a wonderful, kind gesture. My sincere thanks to David for the kindness he showed to my elderly Mum - thank you!
The air still tastes of acid rain.
Has Tesco stopped responding to all complaints, or just mine? I’ve been clawing at their walls, you see. I filled out their tidy little online forms, each one a prayer cast into a silent abyss. I sent emails, polished and desperate, into the void. I even took to the public square, posting reviews for all the world to see, my words hanging in the air like forgotten laundry.
And nothing. Their silence is a cold, heavy stone pressed against my chest, and I am weary. I am a broken, aged woman, a constellation of aches and pains that stretches across my failing body. I live in the twilight’s arms now, where my final repose looms ever closer, as the daylight dies and darkness gently closes in. And still, they do not see me.
Their issues are not one, but many—a sprawling, tangled web across their vast empire of services. From the agonising delays for my cancer medication, a ticking clock I cannot outrun, to a level of behaviour so far removed from their glossy, smiling advertisements. They smile in the pictures, but their true face is this: a corporation that turns its back on the fading.
Oh, the sheer, unutterable indignity of it all! My trusty landline, bless its antiquated heart, still stretches its faithful tendrils into every dim and dusty corner of this gilded cage I call home. It answers every need, cradles every whispered word of comfort. But no, no, no—the modern world, in its infinite and utterly maddening wisdom, has decreed that I must be shackled to those infernal, glowing rectangles of torment. I can’t even snoop into my own mailbox without one! And soon, oh, so soon, this wretched, creeping cancer will claim the last of my strength, and my coffers are as bare as a winter tree stripped of its last leaf. The pressure—the sheer, crushing, suffocating pressure from society to acquire one of these accursed devices! How many of my fellow pensioners nod in weary, bitter agreement, their heads bowed under the same yoke?
And the signal in this house? Ha! As reliable as a politician’s promise, I tell you—here one moment, gone the next, mocking my very existence. urged to buy a safety device that will, no doubt, fail me precisely when I need it most, when my trembling hand reaches out in desperation. What utter, unmitigated, nonsense!
And then, the keeper of my electronic mailbox—that smug little gatekeeper—forced me, me, to buy a mobile phone. A phone I cannot feed with coins I do not have. Cursed by a land where connection fails at every turn, left chained to my own four walls by cancer’s merciless grip, what use is a mobile? What use is a lifeline that dangles just out of reach?
I purchased it from Tesco, a company I have patronised for over forty years, believing in loyalty, believing in solace from this unwelcome, plastic monstrosity. But what did I get? My shaking, unresponsive fingers were utterly unable to insert the sim, to operate the virtual keyboard, to make the screen obey. And the options I was promised, the glorious, simple choices that would grace my display and set me free? They never appeared. They never, ever appeared. Gone into the void, like every other hope I’ve dared to cling to.
Two weeks. Fourteen whole days of silence, of staring at my empty inbox like it owed me money. I’d sent return requests the very moment I realised this shiny, contraption was neither fit nor proper for this place, And what did I get? Nothing. Not a peep. Not a “we’re sorry”. Just the cold, digital hum of being ignored.
So there I was, a woman who can barely hear the world around her, a woman already battered by life’s cruel little tricks, a woman whose nerves were shot from years of trauma—forced to pick up my landline. Do you know what that takes? Do you know the sweat, the shaking hands, the dread that coils in your chest when every ring might bring a voice you can’t quite catch? I called. Each conversation a new battle, each muffled word a fresh knife in my patience.
Finally, they sent a courier, yes—but what of hours I spent in smothered groans, the air still tastes of acid rain. My metaphor for modern business. The product, returned. And now? Now I sit here, a fortnight later, still waiting for my refund. For my money. For a single shred of decency from a company that clearly doesn’t care. Two weeks I’ve waited. Two weeks for a refund on a thing I never even used. And still, nothing but the hollow echo of my own frustration bouncing off these walls.
