I had LASEK surgery here and the personal after care I received throughout was outstanding — Amanda in particular took the time to talk me through every stage and always making me feel genuinely looked after rather than just another patient on the list. That level of attention made a real difference. I will say, though, that the recovery was tougher and longer than I'd been led to expect going in — the dryness, the eye fatigue, the fluctuating and uneven healing between my two eyes, and the near-vision adjustment took real patience over several months, and I wish I'd had a clearer picture of that beforehand so I could have prepared for it properly. Still, the results have been excellent, and the quality of care from the team, especially Amanda, is what stood out most.

I can’t praise the staff at Optimax in Newton Abbot enough. They are all so friendly, helpful and professional.
I had cataract surgery yesterday and the whole process was smooth and seamless. Plus I couldn’t fault the Aftercare treatment either. I will be having more cataract surgery next week and am looking forward to being looked after again by such a competent team.

I had multifocal Lens Replacement surgery in both eyes on the same day at the Brighton and Hove branch in March 2026 which was great as I didn’t have to go to London.
The procedure was not at all worrisome, was completely pain free and I had total confidence in the Surgeon, having spoken with him on the phone prior to the big day.
It’s now August 2026 and I am absolutely delighted with the results with both my near, far and intermediary vision. It’s so nice to have said goodbye to my varifocals.
I would like to say that from my initial consultation through to being ‘released’, I had absolute confidence in the Hove team, there’s a real feeling of togetherness and efficiency and care at this branch, the girls and the optometrists were absolutely fantastic! I visited several times after the procedure for aftercare and was always made to feel welcome.
I would absolutely 100% recommend this Optimax branch to anyone looking for eye surgery.

I had LASIK treatment at the Hove clinic in April 2026. I was discharged from their care in August the same year with 20/20 vision negating the need for any distance glasses. Given the standard of my vision prior to treatment, I knew I wouldb't go glasses free, however I only need off the peg reading glasses now.

Shout-out to MICHAEL at Finchley Road! My surgery experience at Optimax Finchley Road couldn’t have gone better. The entire team was wonderful, but Michael deserves special recognition. His incredible professionalism and support kept me completely at ease and made the whole procedure go smoothly without a single doubt. My vision is fantastic now, and I couldn't be happier with the care I received.

What can I say the staff and doctors have been amazing.
I have been wearing glasses since I was 5 years of age and after going along to the clinic and having several tests done and speaking with my surgeon we decided on RLE lens exchange which could deal with my shortsightedness and longsightedness. Michael looked after me the day of my surgery and explained what would happen. The surgery was painless thanks to anaesthetic drops and a brilliant surgeon Mr Pantelidis. My vision although blurry after surgery blew me away, I have not had to wear glasses for the last week and my eyesight is brilliant. I can’t thank everyone enough and I would highly recommend.

My wife and myself are so pleased with our lens replacement surgery carried out at Optimax in Cardiff. The staff were so friendly and caring from the initial welcome at reception, to the lady that gives you the eye drops, through to surgeon and all the other supporting staff. Although nervous about the procedure, it was so professionally executed and I did not feel anything. The result is outstanding, and after only a few days could already see better without glasses than I could previously with them on.

The whole experience from start to finish, friendly made me feel comfortable. A credit to all staff here, a tentative. I most importantly happy with my new clear eye sight results were fantastic and after care treatment was great. I would highly recommend.

I'm very impressed with the Optimax support, their consultation process, and their focus on patient health. I personally have had a consultation with an optometrist, an online consultation with Dr. Blas, eye surgeon, and a further in-person medical review with Dr. Blas, the surgeon. Sadly, I was not a suitable candidate for RLE surgery due to my specific eye profile. However, I'm so impressed with Optimax, their team, their professionalism, and the complete lack of pushy sales. I wasn't rushed, no deposit was taken, and the consultation was free. I'm gutted that I'm not a suitable candidate for RLE surgery, but I'm incredibly grateful Dr. Blas put my health first instead of focusing on a quick sale.I will definitely return to Optimax in the future because I feel safe with them. The whole team at optimax in Leeds were absolutely amazing. They made me feel very relaxed from start to finish. I had Cataract/Refractive lens exchange. 2 days later I can see better than I ever have and I love not having to put my glasses on or contacts in. Had laser eye surgery and it worked out great. I have been wearing glasses for many years and now im glasses free.

The procedure is quick and painless. The only uncomfortable part was the clamping on the eye so it doesn't move. You dont feel the sutting or burning at all so be prepared for it to be pain free procedure.

After the operation you will be in pain with air coming in contact with your eye.

My advice would me straight after the operation go home and go to sleep this prevents you from blinking and by doing this it give your eyes rest and a chance to heal better and becomes less painful.
