11 subscriptions paid, no published,no refunded
11 subscriptions, paid for the year 2018, never set online!
We refused to accept their new flight conditions for the owner-consumers.
We were punished last year and kidnapped for our 2017 subscriptions.
Unfortunately, we had already paid for the entire 2018 starting again from 17 January. Still not online, punishment continues.
5 months in total unpublished! No refund!

If I could give 0, that's the mark I would give. Do not use Abritel if you don't want to waste your time and your money in very long useless phone calls, dealing with rude staff. Had asked to book for an accommodation at 1165 euros (with confirmation email from Abritel), received a confirmation from the owner a few hours later, but at 1490 euros this time, to then be told a few hours later that it was cancelled, even before I could reply to the first email. Same house now for rent at 2350 euros at the same dates. Called Abritel to see what they could do about it as obviously it doesn't seem very legal. Staff wouldn't listen a word. Was very calm at the beginning but as they were interrupting me all the time, I have to say they really drove me mad. Very bad experience. First and last.

A once wonderfull platform now completely ruined
I am an owner who have happily advertised my property on Abritel (now HomeAway) for more than 12 years.
It used to be a very, good search engine for renters and an effective platform for communication between owners and renters.
HomeAway has destroyed all that now.
The good and logic search by well-defined criteria has been replaced by HomeAway’s fraudulent search algorithm which now presents the searcher with a ranked list of properties which HomeAway will earn most from. This is downright misleading of the consumer to present results which do not correspond to the search criteria you set up!!!
Although advertisers on HomeAway (in contrast to e.g. AirBnB) are in fact paying a subscription fee to advertise HomeAway is furthermore blocking communication between owners and renters with the sole purpose to ensure that they can skim off ca.10% of the rental sum as their so-called Service Fee - a free for which HomeAway presents absolutely no valid service. This is disgusting business ethics!!!

Publicity Company vs. Intermediary
I`m an owner and have for three years been renting through Abritel. The display and information are very good and we get good holidaymakers. All perfect until they started with "Booking Online".
Booking Online has changed Abritel from a publicity company to an intermediary (%age taker), which has increased my charges, increased the clients charges, delayed my payment and reduced my ability to communicate.
Also, clients now have the right to cancel with a 100% refund 14 days before they arrive. Example; I have just received an online booking for 5 weeks in summer. If this client cancels I can't fill the house for 5 weeks in 14 days. Holidaymakers make longer term plans and need to book summer flights etc.
There may be some fraud in online holiday rental, but the star review system works well, as does good communication prior to booking.

Major faillure on how doing bussiness - Typical example of French arrogancy and incapability
Very sad how they try to get more money for themselves by making a more complicated website and having both owners and holiday makers paying more to get less. This website is a perfect example of French arrogancy and incapability. Fot example the force you more or less to use their online reservation service which is linked to their online payment service. On its own a good idea, but if you not use it your property will be listed somewhere below the other properties that do use this service. Now here is the trick, every booking consists of two payments. On EVERY ytansfer via the site of Abritel they take € 30,00 banking fees! You do the math if you hav 10 clients per year or you want to rent out last minute for a low price to get at least one or two hundred euros. Now also what Abritel does is to force clients to pay service charge. This may well be an amount of € 150 on a booking of € 1.000 and this is your booking which you allready paid them the advertising costs for!! And not to speak of the louzy customer service. On emails you have a reply rate of 50% and mostly it takes more than a week to get this answer. I know the site before the changes they made last year for many years and it was much better. Now I do not get any booking at all for 5 properties in France which last year was already booked for almost whole July and August!! I definately recommend anybody who is considering using this site not to and not waste you money on them. You can better use the free website leboncoin.fr or any other website. I hope I save a lot of misery and frustrationby posting this message.

Terrible experience
terrible experience,
The customer service didn't answer to my emails, no follow up.
Do they only want to make profit ??
I booked an appartment true Homeaway In les Arcs by Mr MEESCHAERT. I also booked this appartment a year ago and is was very good .It had very good reviews then. But there was a new owner, Mr Meeschaert. The appartment was dirty and so many things were broken. Mr. Meeschaert didn't give the warrant back. I wrote Homeaway after 2 years because I went ill before. I could prove everything they asked but then they said it was too long ago( 2012). They don't change the good reviews even when I can prove has changed. There is even a bad review on Tripadvisor. Why doesn't protect Homeaway the renter ?? never again Homeaway
