Paradise place !!!

We spent a wonderful week-end in this mas !
It's quite a bit difficult to access but it's worth it !

Everything in there is beautyfull, inside and outside. The house is greatly decored and agenced.
Outside was the swimming pool with an amazing view upon the valley, it's very relaxing, we loved how the mas is surrounded by the nature :)

Michele has been very kind and available with us. We were 11 friends and this week-end has been awesome in every part of it :)

We will probably come back again next year !

Le Site Abritel n'est pas le site le plus couteux sur le marché de la location saisonnière.

De plus, je ne comprends pas quel prix ne correspond pas selon vous.

Pretty inflexible !

Pretty inflexible !
Impossible to book anything if not from Samedi to Samedi. We switched to Booking.com where we could find the same chalets for the days we needed , and to our surprise: cheaper! Abritel is crap and their end is coming....

Nous sommes désolés que vous n'ayez pas trouvé de location disponible pour vos dates sur le site.

Les propriétaires possèdent un compte en ligne depuis lequel ils renseignent leur annonces, leur disponibilités, leur tarifs et depuis lequel ils gèrent les demandes de vacanciers et de paiement qu'ils reçoivent.

Les conditions de locations varient d'un propriétaire à un autre. Vous trouverez aussi bien sur le site des location pour des durées minimum de séjour d'une nuitée, comme des annonces qui exigent des durées de séjour d'une semaine.

Je suis cependant étonnée que vous ayez trouvé les même location ailleurs avec d'autres conditions. Cela signifie que les propriétaires concernés n'ont pas configuré les paramètres de leurs annonces de la même façon, d'un support à un autre et nous en sommes désolés.

Je suis également étonnée que vous n'ayez trouvé aucune location pouvant correspondre à vos attentes et étant disponible pour vos dates. En effet, le site propose un très large choix de logement. Je vous souhaite dans tous les cas d'avoir trouvé la location dont vous rêviez pour vos vacances.

Very poor and unprofessional customer + Liars

Very poor and unprofessional customer services. Lot of hidden fee. Add absolutely NOT trustworthy. Not honest, and they do not care about their customer. (Homeaway France: Abritel)
They have basically RUINED my holidays and I ended up paying 200€ extra for my booking at the very last minute!!! Very rude customer advisor on the phone. What a disappointment!

Si vous souhaitez obtenir des informations supplémentaire à celles affichées dans les devis, envoyées par mail, mentionnées dans les rubriques d'aide, de foire aux questions etc.., Le service client est à votre disposition gratuitement, 24h/24 par chat, mail et téléphone depuis la rubrique d'aide du site en cliquant sur "Nous-contacter".

Par ailleurs, je suis très étonnée de votre remarque relative à votre accueil. En effet, nos conseillers clientèle ont à cœur de toujours bien renseigner nos clients, de leur apporter satisfaction et d'assurer un Service de qualité.

Enfin, n'ayant pas d'information complémentaire au sujet d'une somme que vos vacanciers ont payé (200€) je ne puis vous apporter ni aide ni explication mais cela semble également très étonnant.

En tout cas, lorsqu'un vacancier effectue sa réservation via le site, il bénéficie systématiquement des Services du Service d'assistance aux vacanciers et est couvert par la Garantie Réservation en toute confiance.

We actually have a conflict with …

We actually have a conflict with Abritel.fr concerning the damage deposit. They make you pay the damage deposit instead of just authorising with Visa, like everybody else in the travel industry does. We lost 33 euro (51 canadian) on the damage deposit credit on our Visa. Visa give you a lower exchange rate to credit your account than when they are billing.
For the time being, we are waiting for a reply from some company in the US.

Exceptional! A week is too short!

We spent a week in early May at this beautiful home in Sarlat. Everything is as described, except better. The attention to detail given by the owners to the renovation, furnishing and provisioning of the home has clearly been done with the comfort and convenience of their guests in mind. The living area and balconies have a tree house feel with bright, leafy light and breezes. The house is a pleasant ten minute walk from the center of Sarlat and gives views of Sarlat's rooftops on one side and open country on the other. Sarlat itself is a good central location for all the tourist 'must-dos', although be aware that distances can be longer than expected because of the hills and valleys. Olivier and Maîtée are welcoming and accommodating hosts, available as much or as little as you want or need.

Owner raised rates after I paid, no help from them.

I paid for a reservation and the owner raised the price and tried to get me to pay, without any explanation or anything. I kept getting emails saying I had to pay right away to avoid losing my reservation. I then tried to contact the Abritel but there is no link on their site to contact them. So I gave up, hoping I wouldn't be charged (all this happened AFTER I had given them my credit card number).

I've used them in the past but this has really put me off and I don't think I will use them again. I think HomeAway purchasing everything, it's all the same company now and there is little competition, so they just try to make as much money as possible. Fees are really high, for what? You can't even contact them in you have a problem. They allow owners to advertise low prices and then raise them because they will get more money in fees like that.

Be careful, I think someone new to this could easily get tricked into reserving an apartment and then paying a lot more than they planned. It's a shame they allow, even encourage, this to happen.
