You wait so long for some retailers that it’s hard to keep track of your rewards. I know for a fact that I’m missing on some but to claim you have to wait too long and have a receipt so it’s often a give up from me.
I used to love airtime and did see rewards build up which was great obviously. I was really sad when they removed boots from the listed retailers. This is where I accrued most of my credit. Shocked to then discover my friend still had boots as a retailer . They had essentially taken it off me because I assume I was benefiting too much ! Granted I do shop in boots a lot but surely that’s the point of the app! You spend money and save elsewhere. So I think I’m going to delete the app. The retailers I’m left with I don’t shop with so all a bit pointless. I did query it with their customer services and was just told the retailers were given at their discretion. Well toodle pip then!
Airtime did not honour my £20 redemption and also rejected a TrainPal reward with vague explanations.
I redeemed £20 from Airtime Rewards towards an O2 bill on 18 September 2026. The credit did not appear on the O2 account. When I queried this, Airtime said there had been an O2 billing update and that the reward may now show as a separate credit note rather than directly reducing the bill.
I contacted O2 directly and O2 confirmed through customer support that the credit had not been applied to the account. O2 also raised a complaint and provided complaint reference C-031026921. O2 told me that the bill is the evidence Airtime needs because any credit applied to the account would show on the statement. I provided Airtime with the O2 bill and screenshots of the O2 chat, but instead of simply honouring the redemption they continued to give vague explanations and push the issue back.
Separately, I also made a TrainPal purchase through the Airtime link. Airtime confirmed that they could see the link had been used, but still refused the reward by saying that because the transaction did not track, one of the terms must not have been followed. I explained that I used the direct Airtime link, did not use a VPN, did not use a voucher or discount code, did not disable or clear cookies, did not copy and paste the link, and completed the purchase after clicking through from Airtime. They still would not confirm the exact reason for rejection or provide any specific evidence.
This is extremely frustrating because the rewards were earned and redeemed in good faith, yet the £20 credit has not been received and the TrainPal reward has not been honoured.
Airtime should not advertise bill rewards and cashback offers if customers have to chase both Airtime and the mobile provider, provide repeated proof, and still receive vague template responses rather than a proper resolution.
I would not trust Airtime redemptions or earn-by-link rewards until they can show that rewards are actually applied properly, missing rewards are investigated properly, and customers are not passed back and forth or blamed without evidence.
Been using Airtime for a while now, and it’s been a great way to reduce my phone bill without even realising it, while using my debit cards to pay for every day things like groceries or presents for loved ones. Would highly recommend. A*******

It has been beneficial financially for our phone bill but inly comment would be the pressure applied and constant emails to join UP and get quicker payments, dont like this and can be very long winded to capture £10

Its just like magic. You spend money on things you would normally buy and get money back. Whats not to love 🤩

This rewards scheme used to be better but it's slowly been eroded. Boots are no longer participating, it seems, and the new prize draw that replaced the monthly challenges is nowhere near as good.
It's all better than nothing since you do earn if you shop with specific shops (sometimes online only though), but it's not what is was.

Since they have changed their rules it’s hardly worth doing any more. I mostly only use 2 of the retailers and occasionally one or two others. I’ve just heard they have removed Boots which was one of my 2. It now takes weeks for rewards to be redeemable, as I don’t want to link other cards to join UP, so is hardly worth bothering. I may quit after I’ve had my next £10 off my mobile bill - if it even happens before my contract runs out. Overall it has become much worse since the changes were introduced!

Since the 1st September, I have not earnt any rewards. Nearly every month I would accumulate enough to reduce my phone bill by £5. Boots has disappeared off my account, which is a retailer I use every week. It seems pointless to keep open if I'm not earning anything.

I really liked Airtime & saved quite a bit on my phone bills but now they've withdrawn Boots from list of stores, it was the only 1 I used, so no use to me at the moment 😕

I’ve redeemed £10 and I can’t get it or get it resolved, I have been liaising with them via email and my raised ticket for almost two weeks over £10! I have sent the two pdf bills showing I havent received the credit on my EE bill and still nothing and no response for 4 days now!
Update
Case resolved in the end but took 2 weeks and many emails

Its a prity much monopoly money but every little helps if your spending in shops that qualify its worth going through app j got for supermarkets but theres not alot of them there mainly expensive shops big ticket items to get max bonus usually 2% upto 8% on new shops on app 2% on regular shops like argos currys boots and similar highstreet brands travel and luxary goods give best deals

Airtime is absolutely awful. It gives you very little and you wait 90 days for a reward. On top of that, people will rarely use the retailers they offer. Try using everyday normal high street retailers to give us a chance to earn rewards and cut the 90 days wait to a max of upto 21 days

I absolutely love it… it does take time for rewards to come through.. but it’s bonus when it does I would highly recommend it

I used to think this was a good app, but unfortunately I'm disappointed when I joined I was an EE customer but now with a different network but it doesn't seem to redeem. I then reached out asking for my money to be put back, I think it's very disappointing there is no contact number or no live chat. All I want it my money to be put back into the account that I have earned and then I will gift to someone. It's not much of an ask but a long process.

Occasionally, my purchases made by contactless/g-payfrom Boots not tracked. Airtime say 4- digit card numbers on receipts different to that of my debit card lodged wirh them. I tried to explain the 4-digit card code on receipts is a "virtual" card number used when paying by contactless. I have no problems when paying by this method with M&S,Sainsbury's etc. I get my Nectar Points, Sparks etc. I am connected to Airtime via their "Up" benefi benefit so they have my debit card details etc. Replies to my queries appear to be "scripted" responses and we both keep going round in circles. It's extremely frustrating. No help whatsoever.
