Blake did a great job juggling a complex pickup - and stayed with me every step of the way. The final cost equalled the lowest quotes I received, but I got the feeling that many of the competitors were mostly 'bots' - Blake was clearly a real person and he even followed up after delivery to be sure everything went well. The driver chosen was great - I wish I could add a review for them as well.

This was by far one of the worst business experiences I have ever had. American CarShip, specifically Jason and Matthew, completely misled me from the beginning about the cost and process of shipping my vehicle from Honolulu to Texas.
I was given a quote and repeatedly assured that it was accurate. Based on that, I paid a $300 deposit. Only after I was locked in did the hidden charges start. First, I was hit with a $1,020 charge from Matson that was never disclosed in advance. Then I was pressured to pay an additional $849.99 carrier fee upfront, followed by another $318 so-called “port handling” fee. None of this was clearly explained before I committed. These fees were added one at a time, after the fact, which feels intentional and deceptive.
When I contacted Matson directly to get the truth, they were already aware of the shady and misleading practices connected to this situation. That confirmed that what Jason and Matthew were telling me was not honest.
Communication was terrible. I had to constantly chase them for updates. Calls and messages were ignored or answered with vague excuses. Meanwhile, I was paying for rentals and losing time and money, while my vehicle sat stuck at the port because of their mismanagement.
Despite paying thousands of dollars, I still did not receive the service I was promised. Instead, I was left stressed, frustrated, and forced to find another carrier to finish the job. This entire experience caused unnecessary financial strain and emotional stress during an already difficult relocation.
This was not just poor service — it was misleading, unethical, and unprofessional. I feel completely taken advantage of. No customer should ever be treated this way.
I strongly warn anyone considering American CarShip: do not trust their quotes, do not trust their promises, and do not put yourself in the position I was put in. There are far more honest and transparent companies out there.

My total experience was very good. I have shipped cars multiple times and Marina Rose was so helpful and quick to get my car transported. She was very thorough and professional. Everything was done online and so fast and easy. Will definitely recommend this company from my five star experience.
