Unfortunately, the pictures are done by a amateur photographer :( at expensive price. She was really nice but the pictures are not good… at the time of the shooting I started to be already worried and let her know that she was not taking pics when the baby was smiling. I could see that she is used to take 3 pics here, 3 pics with the blanket blue, etc etc 0 spontaneous and no taking advantage of the baby expressions or smiles, she was following a silly protocol…
While shooting there were other two babies taking the bath completely crying… so the experience was not good neither…when I saw the pics I really wanted to cry to be honest, my hair was wrong and she did not say a word :(, the pics from the baby were all the same and she only selected 2 pictures with the 3 of us… I called the company to ask for other pictures and they told me they delete the pics right away that the photographer did not select.

As well, it says that pics are edit… that’s impossible to be true… in addition, I asked to edit the background as they are done with the Spital courtain and they said no… I did not want to purchase it as pics were really bad but we did not do other pics of our newborn so I finally purchased…
As well I tried to print one online for my parents and the online tool after upload one pics I received an error message that the quality was not good enough…
I will send it to edit the pics by a professional and see if they can be improved… but overall really depressing…

Photographer is friendly, Good Photoshoot and editing. Photobook is also good But, my suggestion is for making photobook there should be picture-changing/editing option and free-of-choice for printing quality of paper and binding.

We had a very sour experience with BabySmile, the photo service that operates in Berlin hospitals and I want to warn as many parents as possible about this fraud. Their prices are astronomical, and we felt deceived into having the photoshoot.
This company offers baby photoshooting and they have contracts with the hospitals, you can see in the maternity ward a board with latest baby pics, and indeed they are very cute. After birth, they come in your room every day to push you to schedule a photoshoot - like it’s mandatory almost! You ask “how much does it cost” and they are trained to say “It doesn’t cost anything, it’s for free”, and when your tired brain after birth looks at them skeptical they say “the photoshoot is free, and you get a picture for free, and you can buy more if you want after”. We agreed, because I wanted just one type of photo anyway, I knew I wanted her to be photographed with a green background and with the flowers that I received when she was born. She took our baby and setup on the hospital bed, and before asking permission she started dressing her in multiple outfits and photgraphing her with multiple backgrounds, then in a basket - even though I told her that I only wanted one type. I was very tired and hazy after a C section and couldn’t move out of bed on my own anyway, so I just let it be.
A few days later, an email comes that photos are ready. We opened the link directly to the prices for digital photos: 2-6 photos for 230 euros, up to 12 photos 250 euros!!! We thought “wow these prices are insane, let’s decide which one we like most and download that one, because one is for free”. Guess what, after 30 min clicking around, we found out in a hidden corner that the “free photo” is not digital, but they send you ONE printed card with it, and you need to pay 5 euros for post. Of course you expect a digital one, this is what they are selling as main product, and it is 2024! We were excited to share that pic with family and friends. They ask 55 EUR for a digital photo.
We felt very cheated, almost ashamed that we fell for this, and we were looking at our beautiful baby and feeling angry that we really don’t want to support this fraudsters by buying from them. Their entire website UX is designed to cheat you, they have fake promotions for cards, calendars, albums etc. and they are extremely aggresive with marketing emails too. I am SURE many parents pay this but also feel bad for it, because we are vulnerable in these moments and this is about our babies.
To say "it's for free" is like you go to the doctor and they say "it's for free, but if you want to know what you have and get treatment, you have to pay 500 EUR".

I am really satisfied with the service, the photographer and the quality of the photos. It is just bit expensive. If they reduce they price, everyone will take more of their products. Because of this, I just ordered one product. Hope they can reduce the prices. But I really recommend them since my baby got some really nice photo. It will be just an awesome memory because they grow so fast.
