Do not use if you value your credit
Do not use if you value your credit rating. When explained that they were a finance only option, I did not continue engaging with them as I was hoping to buy outright. I thanked them for their time and said you're not the service for me. Fast forward multiple months, I find out that they did multiple credit checks on me through multiple lenders and my score was significantly impacted.
Unethical sales and advertising
The company uses misleading tactics and advertising. They hide the disclaimers in fine print and put consumers at risk of potentially very damaging situations. They do not have inventory for you to view, just a network of dealerships and randomly send your info off to their subscribers. The generate leads for any dealership within a certain diatance from you. They put your credit score at risk of damage regardless of where you are at in the buying process.

There is a ben whatever staff in Manitoba ( Because he always use Manitoba numbers to phone me.) He phoned many many time , I said I do not need ur services. And I don't even have driver license. Told him please stop phone me. But he still keep phoning me couple more times after. I feel it's almost like harassment. I have phone records to approve. And I blocked the number after. Then he start phoned me with unknown number again. Does the staff need English training to know what NO MEANS? Try phone customer services...never get it through.

Applied online through Canada Drives
Applied online through Canada Drives. Was pre-approved for a vehicle, win! They sent me to SAS Motors, main branch in Brantford, but a smaller branch in Cambridge called Approval Credit on King Street in Cambridge. I should have known something was off by the fact that there was only one vehicle in the lot, and that was the one I test drove. Ray, who is the guy at this location, said I was preapproved but didn't tell me the amount. Asked what type of vehicles I was looking for and so I told him a Toyota or a VW SUV. He said those were both out of my price range, but the one he had here, a Ford Escape, was about the only one in my range. So I test drove it. Found some noises and let Ray know. He said that I shouldn't worry, the mechanic would find everything and the car would be safetied and it would be fine! 2 weeks later, got the call to pick up the vehicle, yay! Went to pick it up and drove off the lot...the noises were still there. I had been given a drive to pick up my vehicle on my lunch hour and on my way back to work, the noises were so loud I turned right back around and wanted to let Ray listen to them. He wasn't there. I text him and he said he was out registering other vehicles. He said not to worry, bring it to MY mechanic and get a quote and he would take care of it. So I brought it to the Parkway Ford dealership in Waterloo. Adam Hambly, the service advisor who dealt with me, understood everything I told him, and he didn't charge me for all of the inspections he needed to make, only half. I paid $400 to get my vehicle inspected at Ford and I emailed Ray, as well as Sully from the main SAS Motors branch, and showed them how much the quote was and what was wrong. A control arm needed to be replaced, all 4 tires were chunking and splitting, needing to be replaced along with an alignment, a boot needed to be replaced and the felt underneath the vehicle also needed to be replaced, all for $3500. Terrible! So Ray said my warranty would cover everything. I said no, I don't want to go under the warranty or have the vehicle taken to YOUR mechanic because YOUR mechanic let my car go like this in the first place, so he sent me to another mechanic. This mechanic, Issam's Service Garage on Manitou, dealt with me in a fair manner, did his own diagnosis. All 4 tires needed to be replaced, with an alignment, and BOTH control arms needed to be done for $2260, as my car was UNSAFE to drive!!! How did a car get through a safety if it was unsafe to drive!! The garage invoiced Ray directly and now Ray hasn't paid for the work that needed to be done on my vehicle!
I contacted OMVIC and the MTO. I have to send all of my paperwork over to the MTO Safety standards along with my story and they will investigate the garage that did my first safety. If you google Combat Auto Repairs in Mississauga, there is no such place. There is only an auto detailer. Such a frickin Scam!! Please be wary of Canada Drives, as well as whoever they send you to!!!
STEER CLEAR
Purchased a used vehicle from Canadadrives in June of 2023. Almost immediately after delivery the car started having issues which we were told “that’s what a warranty is for”. We decided to spend money to fix everything that was going wrong as conveniently the issues we were having were not covered under warranty. Fast forward to October 2023, we called the Volkswagen dealership to book in for an inspection as the car is still showing signs of issue and we wanted them diagnosed. The dealership told us that there was a recall on the car from 2021 and to bring it in immediately as it is a major safety hazard. I called our Canadadrives salesman and he basically stated that repairs will be free and it should have stated recall on the carfax. We did not receive the carfax until the car was delivered right to our door and we missed the recall on the carfax. Canadadrives should NOT have sold a vehicle with a recall that has not been remedied! This is a bad faith sale selling a vehicle that is a total safety hazard and not disclosing this recall to us or discussing the carfax shows they’ll do anything for a sale. No doubt the problems we have been experiencing stem from this recall and we will get this in writing from the Volkswagen dealership. Not only do we have to take time off work and lose money to drive almost two hours to the dealership to get it fixed, this recall should have been disclosed to us and this vehicle should never have been sold to us if there was a chance that it could burst into flames as the recall states being one of the MANY hazards of this recall. We are not impressed and this has been the worst experience purchasing a vehicle we have ever had. Plus when we received the car it was absolutely filthy and the back seat was covered in dog hair and they state that they do a full detail prior to delivery, ya right! Canadadrives are absolute scammers.
Don't even waste your time. You can't see the inventory anymore.
Don't even waste your time trying to connect with Canada Drives, nor should anyone try and get to the vehicle inventory. I am leaving out a lot of what occurred or it'd be a book.
Application to move forward has a hard credit inquiry on licence submission. Probably my fault. I have done this in the past on their site with no hard inquiry. Contacted by seemingly normal sales guy via phone for basic info on the hoops. Justin calls me today to let me know that I have approval and they have options for me. All images on these options were sent to me via txt message while Justin gave me the details verbally during a phone call. Vehicles ranging 2019 to 2021. Two are variants of vehicles I test drove at a dealership the day before. I had a good idea how they would handle. Everything seemed ok. Until I see the pictures. (dirty undetailed cars) I told him these all look terrible and he said that whatever I buy will be detailed before delivery. (Red Flag) My mind says: They didn't care to detail, they didn't sort any mechanical issues. We continue.
I asked questions on price terms and such. As I did he got more unpleasant. I ask for an email with everything he was saying for terms and price. He doesn't want to do that. He doesn't seem to want to sell me this vehicle i've chosen. Well, I don't buy vehicles on some random guys word! I am in the middle of explaining this and I'm not asking. This is a necessity. All this could have been sent in a single email. I'm kind of wary due to the rudness and lack of professionalism so far and I can see this guy trying to verbally rope me into something. In the middle of my explaination that nothing can progess unless I see all of this written down; he interrupts with "I don't take orders from you." I didn't hear him clearly as I was trying to explain my hesitation to continue. He says again that he doesn't take orders from me. I was so shocked and realized I was no longer in the mood for this guys attitude. I wished him a good day and I hung up.
Thanks for the lesson Canada Drives. I will never again be so cavalier with my licence information. I don't think anyone should do business with Canada Drives. You'd just be fueling the fire. Negative stars.
Stay away
I still don’t understand what service Canada Drives provides. It’s been more than a week since I submitted my info and still don’t have access to an online tool/inventory to search from. I also haven’t heard anything from a message sent a few days ago to “contact us”.
In addition, i have an inquiry on my credit score but only was contacted by Alberta Auto Credit (?) to provide me some “concierge” service, which didn’t result in anything that I couldn’t have done (better) myself.
So I’m puzzled. Would love to understand the real value of Canada Drives. Right now it was poorly handled, terribly communicated, and with just stress and no results.
As a customer, stay away is my experience! (This review will go on Google since it seems no one care at Canada Drives)

This whole process was a terrible experience. The hidden credit inquiry just adds to it. I’m not looking for a loan at all. All I was looking to do was view an inventory, which never happened.
Lack of communication, hiding things in the legal privacy policy…thanks, but no thanks.

DON'T SELL CAR HERE !!
DON'T SELL CAR HERE !!! GO AUTOZEN !!
I bought a car here 15months ago, buying was not the best experience but 8/10. Car they gave me had squeaky brakes. Which I had to pay $300 for new brake pads. Trying to sell was horrible, they offered me 25% less than what I paid for 15months ago. I got a 2nd opinion at Autozen and WOW. They gave me 25% more than canada drives. Ended to go Autozen and very happy with the Value and customer service provided. Canada drives has really went downhill over the last 12 months. Plus I could sense they were lying on the phone. I consider them as scammers based on a car I bought from them and a LOWBALL OFFER.

This company is a joke
This company is a joke
It took me almost 2 months to get a car that was subpar... but because it took so long i overlooked it as i needed wheels.
Fast forward to present i was looking to get rid of the vehicle and they were the first option they sent me and offer and was interested but i wanted to shop and see what my best option was.
I then reapplied a few days later only to be told that their “restructured” system isnt intrested.
Just to test me theory i applied a 3rd time and they were intrested again.
Do yourselves a favour and dont make the same mistake i did and fall for the “easy” application it will only lead to a massive headache

Please do not use this company!
Update; emailed the below information over a week ago and had 0 follow up.
I wish I could give Canada Drives 0 stars. First off, the process says; Get pre-approved; See the vehicles you can afford; Pick the car you want. This was the farthest from the truth. I went online and did the pre-approval and was put in touch with a finance manager. She did not go over the process at all with me. All she did was quickly confirm my address and income and said we will be in touch. I was very upfront about my credit, income, what we were looking to spend and what we were looking for.
The next day I had no email from her, 5 credit hard credit pulls and no follow up. I had to email and reach out and it took another 24 hours to get back in touch. She came back and offered a vehicle $400, yes $400 dollars a month more than what we had stated we were looking for. Then she came back and sent only 2 more vehicles that were STILL $100-$200 dollars over budget. When I asked what other options are available she basically said a car we are looking for with that budget is not possible. She didn't send any more vehicles and did 2 more credit pulls. Not sure why the additional credit pulls?
I get the market for cars is not great, but I was upfront about everything from the start. If it wasn't possible, why pull my credit 7 times? Why send me cars that were so clearly out of budget? Why provide no options or even say from the start hey, that is a tight budget before we go further lets see your options. I get with the application credit needs to be pulled but 7 times, with no outcome. Terrible and stressful waste of time.

Just want to look at inventory
Just want to look at inventory, not applying for a loan, when I see something I like, I might apply, I do not like to start an application without seeing what you have, I can guarantee if I have to apply to see the inventory you will not have my business

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Worst experience I have ever had when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. Purchased a vehicle from them Feb 28. (Paperwork signed ready to go). Vehicle was coming from out of province so took about 2 weeks before I heard back from them. Once the car arrived in Alberta I got a call to arrange a pick up time (1 week later). The day of, 5 mins before the pick up time, I get a call from them saying the vehicle was not at the location due to the truck hauler breaking down and would need to reschedule for the following week for pick up. Monday comes around apparently the new truck hauler had a hydraulic issue and all vehicles that were on it could not be offloaded and they could not provide me answers on where the vehicle was or when I would be expecting delivery. I called everyday for the next 2 weeks to get answers but it was the same old story with them (No idea where the vehicle was or when i could schedule a pick up). I cancelled the order Mar 29 due to lack of information and sheer amount of unwillingness to work with me to find a resolution (I even contacted there customer service representatives that I found from other unsatisfied reviews with no responses). This company is a joke and should not be trusted with any vehicle purchases.

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Was selling my vehicle and accepted their offer and was told to drop off the car but not told the location. Repeated calls over a week and no response. Finally got through to a purchasing agent and was told they don't want the vehicle any longer. Why couldn't they let me know sooner or even just send me an email. Don't deal with these guys, they don't seem to honor their agreements.
