False advertisement
Everything seemed good. Canada Drives advertises that they will pick your car from your house and when the deal came through, i was told my only options were to drop my car off in Ottawa or Whitby. Both over two hours away. Canada Drives false advertises and didn't really make any effort to correct that over two phone calls. The only reason i picked Canada Drives was for the pick up at my house. I was not impressed. I'll be looking for a buyer some other way. Stop the false advertising and honour your original offers!

No communication after the sale
No communication after the sale, they totally forgot I exist. My purchase isn’t even on my account. Customer service representatives do not care. They’re quick to give you a bad deal and leave you stuck with it. Go to a dealership and save the trouble

Broke the contract
We live in Alberta and purchased a vehicle from Canada Drives. We paid the deposit, bought the car and arranged to have the vehicle shipped from Ontario. This was on Feb 16 and heard nothing for 19 days. Now we are told that “we don’t ship from Ontario anymore.” Really? You no longer do what your literal business model and promise of service was built on? We’ve arranged for insurance, financing etc. etc. If you live out west you might want to know this before you go through a similar process!

lack of commitment, not business oriented,.
This feedback is about CD sales policy, customer service, Mission Statement and commitment to client.
Among all car dealers I dealt with in past 30 years (I’m 54 years old), CD is by far the most unprofessional car experience I had in Canada.
CD lacks many business components, but above all, client's time and how that extends beyond just a vehicle purchase. Simply, not a good process.
When I started my purchase, I clearly identified my province (SK), their website showed I can receive my vehicle in one week, it took few days to finalize my deal and they were over the phone promising that I should have it before 27th of Feb, not the 23rd as showed on the website. Totally understood.
With no communication or updates from CD till the 26th, I phoned, and they promised it will be delivered before the 3rd of March (today).
By 1st of March, I had no communication from Canada Drives, I phoned, and they responded on the 2nd of March stating that vehicle is not dispatched yet and MIGHT BE next week or other date to be decided by their dispatcher.
I explained to CD that such practice doesn’t meet their previous commitment, additionally, I'm out of province then country 10th of March till 3rd of April, returning to SK 6th of April, which means if I'm lucky enough, I get my vehicle almost two months (51 days) after I signed purchase documents, OR, they deliver it before the 10th of March, 6th of March is earliest possible, accordingly, the one week love it or return it sales pitch, is gone and not applicable. in this scenario, I should suck it if not satisfied with my purchase.
In other circumstances, I would have canceled the whole deal with them by now, but this purchase has cost me so much already, starting with the non-refundable 2K for shipping and out of province inspection and certification, to other items that won't fall under CD responsibility, but was based upon the sales team delivery date promised.
Clarity is best policy, If CD made it clear they are unable to fulfill their promise of delivering in time, could have discussed other options, but what they did is not a good business practice.
As per their sales team response to calls, they never answer, and when I leave a callback number, I get the call back next day, or maybe at 9:00 pm same day if I’m lucky. Also their words of a follow up call, that doesn't happen, I have to call again, leave my number, and wait for the callback.
This is an update to above, I received a call from CD on March 6th advising that my vehicle is in province and queued for out of province. The caller also advised that due to my schedule, there might be flexibility on the 1 week / 500 km term to limit it to the 500 km use, which is very promising if it works.
I hope they can change my experience at the end to a positive one despite the above.
Update, 8th of March, I received a phone call from Canada Drives stating that they are unable to deliver and that my only option is to pick up in Saskatoon, which I declined because I only have 40 hours to leave on a work trip and my time is limited, so I offered them to keep the vehicle until the 6th of April and I can pick it up when I return.
On March 9th, the day before my work trip, I received a call from CD that they were delivering the car that day, and according to their text message and phone call, it was 2:00 pm, which I accepted and planned my very busy day accordingly. Few things they could have cleared up during the conversation could have made the delivery much easier, but long story short, I waited and after half an hour called, was told driver left and on his way, an hour later (1 hour is distance from Saskatoon to me) I called again, and was told I don't have to wait and he will call me he arrives. No value for clients' time when my main concern on all of my calls with them is time.
I finally got my vehicle, 22 hours before I leave, with no time to check or test it, no time to even inspect it, and parked it in garage until I return, hoping it's in good condition.
Summary
I gave Canada Drives a second star because the delivery driver, he is amazing, respectful and cooperative. He took the time to explain his delay and assist in delivering the vehicle to my house.
I would have given them a third star if I had received confirmation that they were only going 500 km and waiving the one week on their "love it or return it" policy, but that didn't happen. Canada Drives isn't bad if you live in ON, AB, or BC and have the luxury of time, but for any other province or smaller towns, I don't see them as successful in satisfying clients or adhering to their own policies.

I would definitely buy Canada drives again
I would definitely buy from Canadadrives again. I found the perfect vehicle online, viewed the pictures and documents, made the downpayment, had various communication from the company, went to pick the vehicle up a week or so later, and found some undisclosed damage. After some consultation with various employees we came to a satisfactory arrangement, and all is well. Excellent buying experience. Canada drives show me that they care about my business, which is more than many dealerships have shown in the past.

I saw a commercial on tv by Canada…
I saw a commercial on tv by Canada Drives and thought I would see what the offer would be. As soon as I finished entering all the required information up popped the offer. It was much more that the dealership had offered me. Long story short it was so easy and quick and I sold the car. I had been putting off selling my car on Kijiji or Facebook marketplace because of all the tire kickers and people wanting to “steal” the car.
This was indeed the best transaction I have ever made on-line and strongly recommend selling your car through Canada Drives.

Inoperable back up camera
Online ad said vehicle had a back up camera. Then there was a note saying back up camera inoperable. I emailed saying I would buy the vehicle if the back up camera was working. Response was that the price of the vehicle included the inoperable backup camera and that it would not be repaired. This leads me to believe it is an expensive repair. They are asking top dollar for an eight-year-old vehicle and I would certainly expect the backup camera to be operational.

exactly as advertised -- GREAT!
paul the delivery guy was great! helpful, friendly and patient.
the phone was answered by a real person -- they were flexible in allowing me to switch my offer to a different car with all the funds paid to date transferred over to the new vehicle
i was confident to buy because of the 7 day return option and the 30 day warranty with a local dealer -- the only risk was that i might lose the $800 delivery fee if i returned it -- that was worth it to me as i was able to access more cars at better prices than were available locally
they delivered the car at exactly the time promised -- and within a few days of me buying it
the whole process worked exactly as advertised -- and we live in the stix!
only suggestion is to make sure you know if the car you are looking at will have a $3000 or so fee to deliver from another province -- turn on the "free shipping" toggle near the top of the search pages -- you may still pay some shipping depending where you live but the search will show you only the cars in your province, thus avoiding the $3000 fee
totally great experience -- have recommended to friends already

Trade in appraisal not consistent
Got my trade in manually appraised twice with a 6k difference in less than 5 months with no changes on the condition of the vehicle other than a few thousand kilometers extra. In September 2022 for 28k, then in Feb 2023 for 22k. I get that the online appraisal is not accurate, but I shouldn't be seeing such a large gap from manual appraisal. The most frustrating part is that they're selling the same year, make, model, trim and similar condition car as mine for 31k on their website, I feel like a 8-9k (30k-22k) margin minus some costs on their side is absurd.

KUDOS & ACCOLADES
They Did not act like a used car salesman, they appeared very honest and upfront about everything. It was a pleasurable, simple and quick experience. I should have been using this business years ago. It will be my first option next time I'm in the market. KUDOS & ACCOLADES

waste of time.
apparently a ''computer glitch'' gave me a quote on their website for my car that was 5000.00 higher than what it was supposed to be. they also sent an email stating they were ready to purchase it at the aforementioned price but then changed it because of the ''software error''. in this case, seller beware.

I had a really good experience with Canada Drives.
The entire team was so on top of their game, so quick, and so extremely helpful. Jake, Natasha, Sharlene, Marcus etc. Thank you all so very much. Glenn was who delivered the vehicle and he was beyond lovely. He definitely reassured me that I was in good hands because of how great our interaction was and his organization. I would absolutely buy from CD again in future. Thank you team!

Avoid this happening to you
After they purchase your car you will have to fight with them to make sure they payout the lein. I have no heard back from them in 3 weeks since the sale and have had to make 2 additional payments because how long it has taken them to make the payment to the finance company.

Straightforward, fast and fair.
Fair evaluation, assessment and simple process . Everyone I dealt with from canadadrives were professional and courteous.
Blazing fast compared to direct private sale which takes weeks. Fast and fair assessment.
I will definitely use their services again next time I need to upgrade my ride.

Easy, Efficient and Fair Pricing
I sold my late model Honda to them while simultaneously listing it on Kijiji, and did Canada Drives pull through ... with flying colours! I had a lot of offers, but Canada Drives made it quite easy to select them. I didn't have to deal with low ballers or tire kickers wasting my time. However, deducting $250 per scratch (surface scratch) seems excessive. I understand the fee for rim rash if they have to send them out, but minor body scratches that are not deep could easily be $100 ($50 for paint touch up and $50 for labour buffing out a 1-2 inch scratch). In the end I was happy that I was able to negotiate the deductions, and still come out ahead of any offer I received on Kijiji. Thank you Canada Drives! Oh, and Shuaib who picked up my car needs to be in sales or customer service -- he's frickin' awesome!
Great business
Very reassuring and answered all the questions I had. Extremely flexible on vehicle pick-up date and time. You’re not going to get the highest price for your vehicle but you need to realize that they’ll give you fair market value and zero hassle. Would definitely use again.

Great from start to finish.
From the first call to the last, everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. The car pick up was great and had my money in 24 hours. Couldn't be happier with my Canada Drives experience.

Fraud company
They don't post real photos on the site. Only after we paid for the car and paid for the insurance did we get a notification in the mail that they "accidentally" discovered two large dents on the car. And it happened the night before the delivery day.
During a phone call, the manager assured us that they did not see anything wrong with this and tried to sell us the car in a bad way - they just made a car delivery even though we don't want to buy it with dents.
I think that they either hit the car during loading or deliberately hid the dents. The company did not offer any options and the impressions from communicating with them were not the best (except for the delivery guy - he was great).
In any case, do not contact these scammers, it is not worth the time and money spent.
