Fraud issues very difficult/impossible to resolve

I had made some legitimate charges in the US. Then in August, there were fraudulent charges made byMcDonalds in the Arizona/Nevada area - I notified Cashplus, they 'cancelled' my card and reissued and also refunded those charges - no problem there. I did not get a new PIN for my new card for quite a while, on purpose, when I used my new card with the PIN - boom - charges in the US to McDonalds in the same vicinity starting in October when I used the card with the PIN. They have partially refunded me those charges except I am stuck with the foreign exchange fees now. There is now a random 'Misc Debit' for £58.42 that they cannot tell me who made!!!!! I have of course cancelled my card again but am terrified to use the new one with the PIN as it appears that when I do that everything gets charged back to my original card even though I use the new card. They tell me that the original card is an 'umbrella' card and this will always happen - so what's the point in getting a new card???? The customer service people, while very pleasant, are rather useless with this and I never get a call back from the fraud department not even an email. I have spent HOURS on the phone with them trying to get things resolved - what the heck is a MISC Debit anyway? Looks like I will have to pay off the card and close the account - way too much hassle for me

Chocolate fireguard customer service

worse company to use ok until there's a problem, so despite being told they posted my new car to my old address 30 mins on hold to get through. Then told me to download the app to change my address again I did does not accept my username asked me to put in all my information to prove I am me I did agreed with me it's all 100% correct then side insert new username I did straight back to square one . Then had enough
tried to cancel all together.another 39 mins on hold, There customer service as much used as a chocolate fireguard won't let me cancel my card

Appalling incompetence

Appalling incompetence, have tried opening an online account for a year now , 4 attempts but they have lost documentation I sent them and cant give an answer. They closed my application despite me sending everything they required. Their work practices are dreadful and there was no record of my submissions. Called manager of customer services who refused to give his full name , only said he was Callum!
They are the most incompetent organisation I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with many banks in the past on a professional basis

I recently opened this ATM card

I recently opened this ATM card, but there is an error that every day when I send money through the account to another account, I pay three pounds in fees every day I am not happy about this they stealing the moneys and you shouldn't not charging me every day £3 when I make transfer payment or withdrawal

Please read and do not trust this bank!

I have had my account for around 4/5 months and everything was perfectly fine I was having my universal credit payments paid into this account

Then suddenly without warning my account was restricted for “my security “ and i had to contact customer services , I then did this only to be told they have no idea why it was restricted and I had to wait 5 days so I did only to ring again and be told my account was closed on a business decision yet I had received no email or call actually telling me this until I called them and am still yet to be told a reason as to why it was closed , I can prove every payment that goes in and out of this account but they weren’t interested, I find this funny as my issue follows other people’s reviews and issue spot on it’s like Cashplus is scripted and in my eyes borderlines being a scam , They’ve sent me an email to send other bank details to and ID to get my money back but again with what other reviews are saying I doubt I will ever see that money again , I will be reporting them to the financial ombudsman and any other legal routes I can find as this bank needs to be shut down and investigated

Worse customer experience I have ever…

Worse customer experience I have ever had. I deposited few thousand pounds and then was locked out of my account on a computer hitch. Two weeks later and numerous phone calls, I am still told they have not sorted the problem and have no idea when it will be done by.

What a complete joke customer service…

What a complete joke customer service is.
It is obviously run from the homes of poor individuals who just havnu got a clue regarding the most simple of tasks.
5 minutes just to give my address.
The phonetic alphabet is a step to far for this lot

This bank makes the simplest of tasks impossible

Stay away. Is all I have to say. The bank makes the simplest of tasks difficult. There are so many other banks there that you should go to rather than this one. No customer service email what’s so ever. I don’t even know how I got an account with this bank! As I never even remember applying for it. Been trying to close my account for a week now and even that is a gruelling task.

You should definitely go here!

You should definitely go here!! They are cheaper than everybody else I really liked that!!! I had to cash a big check. I forgot the guys name who helped me but he was very nice and helpful and they gave me all cash!!! Unlike the other places they never even have that much cash and I didn’t have to wait long at all

As banks go Cashplus are the lowest of the low

I've been with Cashplus for a while, well before they became a bank. I've never had any great problem until now. I have another bank account and use Cashplus mainly for receipt of my state pension and disability benefits which I transfer into my other bank as and when I need it. Last night I tried to transfer money and received a Payment Failed message advising me to try later, I repeated this several times. I rang Cashplus this morning and have apparently used up my transfer limit of 30 per month so was advised I couldn't transfer again until 1st July. Two separate Cashplus agents confirmed that this limit isn't advised to customers in their terms and conditions, I guess we're meant to be psychic. I'm in my 70s, disabled and housebound so withdrawing cash from an ATM isn't an option for me, neither is paying bills by cash or shopping instore. With several bills to be paid by DD from my other bank account next week Cashplus were apologetic but overall unconcerned that they were not only preventing my access to the money in the account right now but that I wouldn't be able to access my pension due to be paid into it on Monday next. It took a lot of pressure from me during a very long phone call before they reluctantly agreed to do a manual transfer from the account because of "my special circumstances" but this still doesn't help with the transfer of my pension next week which I need to live on. I don't have the words to adequately describe how I feel about this company.

Fraud and disaster banking.

The issue that I have experienced was: I sent through numerous documents and had emails indicating that they have received emails indicating they have received them, it says 5 days to review but it takes over 4 weeks in reality. I have made numerous calls and numerous complaints. I have 3 texts says that account was open and it was not. I have had conflicting advice and still waiting for all the copies of my phone call recordings. I am not banking with them and closing the account. My main concern was that A payment was sent to that account and I requested it was sent back. Four days later I spoke to a manager Holly, who said that it had not been but would sort it out. 7 days later I spoke to her again and she insisted it had been sent back but would not produce evidence. The sender has not received the money back and yesterday I spoke to a manager called Adam who would not email the evidence and said he was going to post it but I am not going to hold my breath because I have not had any of the subject access requests for the calls as of yet. They said the payment was sent on the 2nd but CAMHS professionals have produced accounts that the payment was not sent and has never been sent. They continue to lie and give out false information. The payment was sent back according to them on the 2nd and it is now the 11th and payment has not been sent back to CAMHS professionals. It is for £1762.00 that has was in the account with CASH plus but gone astray.



It occurred on: 11/05/2023

This meant that Funds missing, false information, misinformation and stress from the bank.

Return the funds and I am making a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.

I am altering the Fanancial Conduct…

I am altering the Fanancial Conduct Authority about this bank. What ever you do not trust your money with this bank. They took 4 weeks to review the original documents and i had to email the rest because the files were two big. I have emailed them 3 times and had automated responses there times. They keep saying they have not had them, although the last update suggests they have not. I have made 14 calls. Some staff have said they have and managers have apparently escualated the situation. 4 weeks later you still get mixed messages and still no concrete communication on what is going on. It delayed the opening of the business. I had 3 separate messages to say the account is open for deposits. One company send £1762 because we thought it was open and no one can tell me even if they have received the money or what is happening with it. I am still waiting for a managers call back. I have a bank card with two pin numbers. Honestly the bank is a joke. Ready the Google reviews. They can not communicate with the documents department only email them and they do not reply. Save your mental health. I will be posting a youtube blog and putting the calls on social media soon. I have have made a subject access request for the FCA. Please do not waste your time. Your money will not be safe and the customer care is non existent. Needles to say I am not going to bank with them. FIRST FORMATIONS RECOMMENDED THIS SHAMBLES

Unprofessional and time wasters - avoid at all costs

Rang them to start an application for a business account over the phone before receiving a link to a portal to log in with my surname and a password then upload ID to verify my account. I was unable to log in and after ringing I found out my surname had been misspelt by the guy I spoke to (even though it’s in my email address which he correctly spelt). This is something they should have corrected themselves but instead I had to send a letter with the correct spelling and ID which was supposed to be sorted in 10 working days instead of the initial 5. Had I been able to log in to the portal this could have been sorted before starting my job as a courier.

10 working days later I received no email so I had to ring during work hours only to be put on hold for a long time before being told there’d been no progress and to wait another 2 days. Over the next week I kept ringing only to keep going round in circles and when I asked if my letter had even been received they were unsure. My letter somehow turned up after I threatened to cancel my application and only then I was told they were behind schedule by a week due to people being off sick (why didn't they tell me this earlier? Phone calls could take up to 15 minutes!). I eventually cancelled my application and set up an account with another bank which got sorted in less than 24 hours.

Due to their incompetence I have missed out on my first pay day and I may miss the next. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever had, there seems to be a lack of communication between their departments and some of their staff need to have a look at themselves. Disgusting company and undeserving of a single star.

IT THIS TRULY A BANK?

Dear Cashplus,

MY ONLY OFFENSE WAS TO CALL YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE TO REPORT THAT I MISPLACED MY DEBIT CARD ( WHICH I FOUND AFTER ABOUT 30 MINS) AND TO KNOW IF I COULD BE ASSISTED TO ACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT AND SHE DECIDED TO RESTRICT MY ACCOUNT AND EVENTUALLY CLOSE IT. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH ALOT INNTHE PAST FEW MONTHS, SENDING DOCUMENTS MULTIPLE TIMES VIA THE POST OFFICE YET YOU MADE A DECISION TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY FINE. IF THIS IS WHAT BANKING ENTAILS, IT IS NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.

NOW, FINANCIAL OMBUSMAN IS INVOLVED AND I WAS TOLD BY YOUR CUSTOMER CARE TO SEND AN ACCOUNT WHERE THE FUNDS LEFT IN MY ACCOUNT WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO ............WHICH I DID ONLY FOR ME TO GET A RESPONSE THAT I SENT TO THE WRONG TEAM THAT I HAVE TO GO BACK TO CUSTOMER CARE. WHAT A HECK!!!! IS THIS REALLY A BANK???

THIS IS A TERRIBLE BANKING EXPERIENCE AND I WILL NOT WISH IT ON AN ENEMY. KINDLY TRANSFER MY FUNDS
