Don’t order from here!!!!
This company is horrible. I ordered a tequila for my dad for Father’s Day and never received it. The company never reached out. I emailed them. They told me that there was an issue with the order and it never shipped. They said that I could use my money towards something else. I emailed back that I want a refund and never received a response back. I sent another email to follow up. Still no response. On my 3rd email. Next will be BBB.
AWFUL company and awful service
AWFUL company and awful service. I preordered tequila in March and it still has not shipped. When I reached out and asked for updates they continually just sent me over return policy. It was not my question nor my concern. I will never order from this poor excuse for a company again. Not to mention I paid almost DOUBLE what the tequila sells for in store. TERRIBLE COMPANY. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.
At this point I feel like a sucker
At this point I feel like a sucker! I should have researched this company before placing an order for a special birthday gift. The Anthony Bourdain | The Balvenie Doublewood 17 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is most likely NOT COMING any time soon. I sent yet another E-Mail requesting answers, and this time NO RESPONSE from Michelle. I guess I'll have to take this issue to the BBB. I'll W A I T till next Monday and if I receive no reply I'll file my complaint.
Buyer Beware
Do not use this company to order liquor! Unfortunately I did not read the horrible reviews before placing my online order. On 4-21-2, I ordered 2 bottles of Don Q Gran Anejo rum which come in square decanter bottles which are being phased out and rebranded to Don Q Gran Reserva in round bottles. The entire reason I ordered the Gran Anejo bottles is that they are becoming more limited and rare. Well guess what I was shipped: yep the Gran Reserva in round bottles.
After contacting customer service several times at Cask Cartel, I was informed by Michelle & Taylor it was not their problem and they would not help me to receive what I ordered. (They did offer me $25 off on a future purchase. Fat chance, I will never use them again)!
My argument to them was that if I had been in a retail store I would not have purchased the Don Q Reserva off the shelf, as that is not what I wanted.
I have purchased thousands of dollars of rum & bourbon from other online retailers such as Blackwells, Caskers, Pikes Liquors, and The Whiskey Exchange in England. Anytime there was a question about my order, I was contacted by the company before my order shipped to ask me about it and if I wanted to proceed. That is good customer service! But Cask Cartel doesn't know the meaning of good customer service.
I was willing to give them a chance on a small $130 order before placing larger orders with them and they failed miserably.

Mistakes in the listings and company…
Mistakes in the listings and company does not allow you to contact seller for clarification. Unreliable. Won't be shopping here.
Great and fast service!
I have yet to experience any issues purchasing from Cask Cartel. I stumbled upon Hibiki a few years ago. It’s no longer available here locally and my only option is to purchase online. I tried a few other websites but they won’t ship to my area.
Guess what, Cask Cartel does!
I also received a couple new bottles so I could try them. Nakka Coffey and nakka from the barrel.
From the looks of most other reviews
From the looks of most other reviews, you would think this is a terrible company. However, my experience was much different. I placed my order, THEN read the horrible reviews.... backwards, I know. I then requested PayPal refund my money so I could avoid the headache. No dice; the money cleared my account and PayPal told me I’d have to take it up with Cask Cartel. I did so and within a day I received an email assuring me my order had been received, was processing, and it would be shipped in the next 4-10 days. Long story short, I received my order less than 10 days later and it was exactly what I ordered. I will definitely be ordering from them again.
Do not use this company unless you are…
Do not use this company unless you are happy to wait a month for delivery! Absolutely poor service. I would have delivered it quicker by walking.
PURE PRICE GOUGING
PURE PRICE GOUGING. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF EXAMPLES BUT LOCH LOMOND SINGLE GRAIN PEATED IS A GOOD INDICATOR OF THEIR PRICING POLICY. THIS ITEM IS AVAILABLE IN UK/EUROPE FOR $40 BUT IS $199.99 ON THEIR SITE. IT'S A BASIC WHISKY AND I IMAGINE THEY STAY IN BUSINESS PURELY BY CASHING IN ON PEOPLE'S IGNORANCE. AND THAT'S BEFORE YOU GET TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEWS. AVOID.
Charging 35% restock for THEIR ERROR
Valentines special Purchase internal CaskCartel error in paying FedEx for shipment, it caused to be held for suspicious activity not arriving ontime CaskCartel had a Valentines day special for a whiskey. Purchased in plenty of time. Because of an internal error on their part correctly paying FedEx, the shipment was held for "Suspicious Activity" at a special FedEx location. Currently FedEx has no expected date of shipment. Obviously this will not make it by valentines day. Now they are telling me there is a penalty of 35% of the purchase for return of the shipment
Price gouging...
When I had come across Cask Cartel in search for a place to order Sugarlands Moonshine I was originally happy about their service and fair pricing. Now I notice that they are charging an exorbitant price for the 750ml jars. A 250% mark up. $70 dollars pre-shipping for a $20-25 product is absurd AND it is listed as a SALE item. A check of other retailers show that moonshine price itself hasn't gone up, just CaskCartel pricing. Now I must be on a search again for somewhere that can deliver to my state. Sad business choice.
wish I could give them zero stars
wish I could give them zero stars. CASK CARTEL SUCKS! worst customer service ever. I received two orders, one to my residence and one to my parents residence in another state, and both orders were missing items and leaking liquor all over the inside. reached out to them three times, and the only support I received was that the vendor would send me the items when they had them. DO NOT ORDER FROM CASK CARTEL.
May have been bad before, seems fixed now
I made a purchase with Cask Cartel on January 23, 2021. I then read reviews and was horrified. I thought I had just lost over $100, and the birthday present for my brother would come weeks/months late. I received 2 FedEx shipping numbers, but I wasn't holding my breath. On January 28, 2021, I got the first part of my order. I was so happy. Today, January 29, 2021, I got the remainder of my order. Nothing was substituted, it was exactly as I ordered it. I'm not sure what happened before, heavy orders, slow shipping, the Holidays, etc. but, it seems that everything is in working order now. I am very happy and satisfied with my experience.
High Priced - No delivery - Bad refund option
'd ordered a bottle of Pyrat rum on 1/2/2021. I paid a premium of $59.99. "Route Package Protection - $. 98.
"Flat Rate Shipping and Instapak Protection Protection Packaging." Total - $76.46.
Today is 1/28/2021. After various emails and calls, I still don't have rum sloshing around my stomach.
I asked for the order to be cancelled and my money refunded. Nope... deep inside the return policy, it says that they have 30 days to try to get the order to me before I can be refunded. And you get passed from one customer service rep to another.
Ordered from cask cartel even paid for…
Ordered from cask cartel even paid for there insurance when my order was never received u find out all the hoops u have to jump thur to receive a refund there customer service sucks to anyone thinking of buying from this company dont u will be sorry once they get your money the customer service stops if i could of give them zero for a score i would of beware of this company and there insurance they offer dont make the same mistake i did by dealing with them
They deserve a negative score…
If I could give them a negative number I would. They continue to ignore my emails asking for a refund for an $80 bottle that I never received. A very trashy company! To add insult to injury, they added a mandatory fee at order checkout that supposedly guaranteed simple, stressless, white glove customer service in the event of an issue with my order.

Does not ship timely
Same problems everyone else has had. Ordered product on 12/13. After filing bbb complaint and disputing charge I got notice on 1-8 shipped. I would advise doing business elsewhere. Thanks
Never ever go through caskcartel
Never ever go through caskcartel. They are dishonest and disorganized.
The customer reps Elijah and Raven are paid liars to string you along past cancellation time and then will not fulfill the orders.
It’s a scam and the Better Business Bureau has hundreds of cases on them. CaskCartel should’ve been shut down before it conned our family this week.
Broken Fulfillment, Horrible Customer Service
CaskCartel.com Review
On December 8, 2020, I placed two orders with CaskCartel.com, each one with a value of about $100. I ordered two different bottles of bourbon to be delivered to two local friends for a Christmas bourbon exchange.
Upon placing the orders online at CaskCartel.com, I received immediate email order confirmations that advised the following, “ your order has been accepted by a local licensed authorized retailer partner for processing & fulfillment.” The notification advised that I would receive a shipping notice email when each bottle of bourbon was shipped by the local merchant. I emailed CaskCartel.com on 12/11/20, 3 days later, indicating that I had not received any shipping notices yet. I received a canned response the same day that said, “Due to Covid-19 and the holidays, an order typically takes 5-10 business days to be shipped. This order has currently been sent to the retailer for fulfillment and is processing. Once processed, you will receive an email with your tracking information in which the shipping carrier will provide and estimated delivery date.“
Two weeks passed with no notifications from CaskCartel, so I emailed them on 12/22/20 to ask for a status update, indicating that 10 business days had passed. My email said, “ It has now been 10 business days since I placed my (two) orders with Cask Cartel and I don’t have any shipping information yet. My other order number is xxxxxx. Can you please contact the retailer and obtain a status on my behalf for each of my two orders?
Christmas came and went and I did not receive a response back until December 28th, which said, “This email is a courtesy to notify you that the retailer fulfilling your order unfortunately does not have the Black Saddle 12 year old Straight Bourbon Whisky. We have reached out to another one of our retailers and they have this item in stock, however, they are charging $10 more for the bottle. Would you be willing to pay the additional charges to have this item sent to you? If not, we can move forwarding to cancelling out that portion of the order.”
This is horrible customer service and unacceptable for several reasons as follows:
I placed two orders on 12/8/20. Both orders were immediately “accepted” by a local retailer. What does that mean? Does that mean the bottles I ordered are in stock w/ the local retailer and will be shipped soon? Apparently, that notice is automatic and means NOTHING more than “we got your order”, it’s just a handshake.
When I emailed customer service on 12/11 to ask about shipping status, I receive a canned response with no specific updates about my order. Apparently the person from CaskCartel who responded did not reach out to the local retailer(s) to determine updates on my order, or else CaskCartel would have known that one of my two bottles of bourbon was not in stock and could not possibly be shipped “within 5-10 business days”.
When I emailed CaskCartel on 12/22, this was 3 business days before Christmas, plenty of time for CaskCartel to research my orders, determine specific status and notify me that the orders would (or would not be) shipped before Christmas. I receieved NO response prior to Christmas. There was no response from CaskCartel until the evening of 12/28, which (see above) stated that one of my two orders could not be shipped because the local retailer does not have the bottle. I was also asked to pay $10 more to have the bottle shipped from another retailer. In addition, the email message from CaskCartel on 12/28 provided no status on my second order, which was placed on 12/8/20 and has not received ANY updates, no shipping status, no details on the order, nothing.
At this point, I have no idea whether either of my two bourbon orders will be honored, fulfilled and/or shipped by CaskCartel.com, or any of its local retailers. I will never again do business with CaskCartel.com and I do not recommend that anyone who reads this trust this company with your money. CaskCartel.com seems to have a broken fulfillment system, horrible customer service, are perhaps understaffed and are blaming their lack of communication/status updates on COVID. I am very fortunate to be able to work from home and I know plenty of friends who work in local retail and customer service. I have also worked in retail and in customer service. COVID or no COVID, there is no excuse for not following up on customer orders and communications, and treating your customers as valuable resources for future business. CaskCartel has failed miserably on all levels.
Do Not Order from This Company.
The customer service is terrible. They give you a 3-5 day processing estimate on their website but buried in their fine print is they have 30 days to process an order. This is deceptive at minimum. When you ask for a refund 2 weeks later you are met with arrogance and refusal to refund. I would not order anything from this company. If you do, expect your order to be received 2 months later. Do not give your money to this company. You will regret it.
