I wouldn't even give this a 1 star. THIS SHOP IS A SCAM - DO NOT BUY.

Ordered at the start of July 2021, told it would be delivered in two weeks. Chased and told they were out of stock, would be delivered in August. Chased again in August and told it would be delivered in September. Emailed since, on multiple emails, with no response. Got my partner to email and had a reply, but told they couldn't issue a refund without my confirmation - I emailed to confirm multiple times with no response. I rang every day for a month but was told they couldn't issue a refund and told me someone would call me back. Finally got my bank to refund me but they have since contacted Coffee Box who have denied my claim and my bank will be taking the money again.
This shop is A SCAM, do not buy anything from them!!!!!

Dreadful

Dreadful. If we hadnt chased every day for our delivery I very much doubt it would have been delivered at all. No contact numbers. Avoid this company like the plague.

Absolutely awful.

If I could give zero stars I would.
I ordered from them, didn't receive the order.
A series of emails with customer service over the next few months resulted in nothing.
I requested a refund in October which I'm still waiting for.
Avoid.

SAME HERE - scam?

Echoing what many others have said here - paid, then (idiot that I am) paid a little MORE because the grinder I first ordered wasn't in stock. No goods. No response to emails. Fortunately it was all through Paypal. Should have checked reviews first.

Scam! Took months ‘fulfilling’ our order so we cancelled. No matter how many emails, no refund. Goodbye to that £50!

One star is too much

One star is too much - how I wish I had read the reviews. Bought something that showed as in stock on line but then didn't show up. Weeks later they were still unable to confirm when I could get it so I requested a refund. Loads of excuses to date and delayed comms still no refund. Will be taking action and reporting where possible. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Items don't arrive, and when they don't, you might not get your money back.

Item bought in November as a Christmas gift, it never arrived and it still hasn't. Repeated requests for cancellation and refund are being continually ignored now. Luckily I purchased through Paypal and am eligible for buyer protection, a case is now opened through them for a refund and I feel very grateful that I have that avenue of support. For those who are looking to buy from this company, just save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere because you might not get your item and when you don't, you might not get your money back either.

Wish I’d read the reviews prior to ordering. I ordered a Chemex mug for my son for his Christmas present on the 9th of December. I received a “item delivered “ email, but I certainly haven’t received the good. I chased this twice before Christmas and twice since. At no time has Coffee-Box shown any proactive engagement by way of timely replies or information. My last email, in which I explained I have written off the mug, the money and will be leaving this review, that solicited zero response. Appalling customer service. Waste of time and money. Strongly advice to avoid. Perhaps when they go out of business, they might realise where they went wrong.

BUYING FROM COFFEE BOX MAY PUT YOUR MONEY AT RISK.

My totally negative experience at the hands of Coffee Box has been more than disappointing. The company and others are controlled by WJW (enter Discover Coffee Ltd (not Coffee Box) and then his name at Companies House website). Take a look at the latest accounts of each to find predominantly negative figures and not much by way of positive balances of either stock or assets. Bear that information in mind when reading the BAD Trustpilot (TP) reviews given to his companies (Coffee Box 51%, Not in the Dog House 37% and Furniwork 96% as of 11 Jan 22). Take a look at Amazon (Discover Coffee) while you are at it. You might find the reviews you read will influence your buying intentions. I am still waiting for a refund that, on 7th Dec 21, I was told to expect ‘in 5-10 working days’. I failed to check TP before ordering - lesson learned.

As far as I can tell from TP, Coffee Box and others of WJW’s businesses are trading on the wrong side of several pieces of Consumer Protection Legislation including The Consumer Rights Act 2015, The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regs 2008, Sale of Goods Act 1979 and The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regs 2013. These and others feature in my contact with North Yorks County Council Trading Standards Officer. I hope he will understand my concerns, and those of other TP reviewers, about Coffee Box and the other companies where WJW is a ‘Person with Significant Control’. Hopefully action will be taken to end WJW’s business practices that clearly operate against the legitimate interests of an unacceptable proportion of his customers.

That said, I feel sorry for the Staff who have to deal with so much grief because of WJW’s appalling business ethics. Unfortunately, parts of the legislation I’ve mentioned may be important to some of them.

Groundhog review

Like many others, I haven't received the product I order or a refund, or a response the last 5 requests for a refund for that matter. Initial responses chasing the order received to same excuses about product shortages and staff shortages. Dreadful company. Reported to Trading Standards.

Disgusting pieces of s**t

Just like everyone else, they took my money and never replied to the emails send. Don't waste your time emailing them, contact your credit card company and claim fraud and in most cases, they should be able to help get your money back... Good luck!

Should have checked on Trustpilot before ordering! Like many others, I placed an online order with this company. More than 5 weeks later, and nothing has been received. They did respond to my first email, by replying that the goods had been dispatched (which was almost certainly a lie). They have not responded to my second email requesting cancellation of the order and a refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT NOT SEND YOU THE GOODS. If there is a lesson here, it is look on Trustpilot before placing an order with a company that you have not dealt with before.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I ordered in time for Christmas yet, like others, only half my order arrived and they have ignored all my emails asking for a response. Awful, awful company.

Unfortunately it seems as though this is a scam set up. Please do not spend your money with them, they literally steal it.

Avoid this company

Order was placed and I heard nothing in over a month. I sent an email asking for a date of arrival, got no reply. 2 days later I sent an email saying not to bother sending. Several days later half the order arrived and even that was incorrect. Do not order through this company at all. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.

I ordered an expensive coffee grinder…

I ordered an expensive coffee grinder on 2nd Dec as a Christmas gift and am still waiting for it to ship on the 6th Jan with absolutely no contact from this awful company. I have emailed and tried to contact them through Instagram with no response. Avoid dealing with this appalling company at all costs. Terrible customer service and potentially fraudulent. They also have commenting turned off on Instagram posts which I imagine is due to the fact they get lots of negative feedback and requests for customer service help this way.

Unfortunately

Unfortunately, I can't review this product as I haven't received it!
I have tried to contact the company but as yet, have received no reply. It's been a few weeks now, so not hopeful it will turn up. Shame, as I was really looking forward to a nice coffee!

The worst customer service I have ever…

The worst customer service I have ever experienced from an online retailer anywhere. No response to 4 emails chasing an update on order status. Like the other reviewers, this should be escalated to Trading standards as they are effectively stealing people's money. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
