I have thankfully never had to actually use the insurance policy and I hope it remains that way so cannot comment on that side.
But it is easy to purchase, and seems to cover what I need it to (car club usage). They were quite responsive by email when needing support.

Excellent value
I took out excess insurance last year. The premium is substantially cheaper than what's offered by the car hire company.
We had minor damage to the windscreen caused by a stone. Because the damage was on the driver's side the windscreen had to be replaced.....€389
The car hire company provided all the documents and we forwarded them to Cover4Rentals. We received a full refund within 4 weeks. Well worth the cost of the premium.

A reminder for renewal was sent well in advance so I had plenty of time to cancel if I wanted to. The payment is automatic do I didn’t have to do anything and the certificate and receipt were promptly sent by email. Great service. 👍
