Credit One has excellent customer service and is a company that works with you. They have helped me build up my credit score. Credit One is a major bank and well known and they gave me a chance. Other companies gave me an opportunity after they saw Credit One gave me credit. I am very grateful for Credit One. They also reward you with extra credit when they see you always pay in a timely manner. Not all cards are like that.

I disputed unauthorized transactions totaling $1,142 that occurred in another state, another city while I was physically in my home town
I provided time-stamped evidence proving my location, and my card was not in my possession at the time.
The claim was denied based only on “chip usage,” without any proof that I authorized the transactions.
The case has been escalated to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and I am awaiting further review.
I am sharing this experience so others are aware of how such cases may be handled.

If I could’ve gave a 0, they would’ve got it. They take your money out of your account. Hold it well past the time it clears. For people with struggling credit and income, this can be super frustrating. This is supposed to be a beginner credit card to help you start out and get established, and their own policies help making that harder

First let me start with Credit One is great. My first experience using my card was not!! I had activated my card using the QR code. As I’m standing at the counter of a store using my card for the first time was actually painful. I stood there for almost 45 minutes as it continued to get declined even as I had the representatives on the phone with me during the process. The representatives were great but what I learned was the first one I spoke to said she had re-activated my card but actually had not. She then proceeded to inform me I would have to wait 15 mins to try again as a line was forming. It finally got figured out through multiple calls and standing there for 45 minutes. I was frustrated and embarrassed. Not a great start.

I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction regarding a recent late fee charged to my account and the lack of communication from your institution.
I recently realized that my payment was three days past due, resulting in a late fee of over $30. This delay was entirely unintentional and occurred because I never received any billing statements from your bank—neither via mail nor email. I would like to highlight the following points:
• No Notification: I have never opted into "Paperless Billing," yet I received no physical mail. Furthermore, no email reminders were sent to my registered address.
• Good Faith Effort: I have always maintained an excellent credit history and value my financial reputation. As soon as I discovered the oversight, I immediately settled the balance.
• Brand Confusion: As a consumer, I found the similarity in branding between your bank and Capital One led to initial confusion, which was further exacerbated by the total lack of payment reminders from your side.
Given these circumstances, I respectfully request the following:
1. A full waiver/reimbursement of the $30+ late fee.
2. A guarantee that this 3-day delay will not be reported to the credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) as a late payment, as this would unfairly damage my long-standing good credit record.
I have been a responsible cardholder, and I believe this one-time courtesy is warranted given the technical failure in your notification system. I look forward to your positive response and confirmation that these adjustments have been made.

I thought this was a good credit card company until I was 3.00 dollars over my limit they reported too the all 3 credit bureau and made my score drop 13 points. And never reported my before time payments. Then a disputed a charged on my account and the charged it back to me..Not happy with them.

In the beginning they were awesome they were polite courteous attentive willing to help now they act like they're doing you a favor when you call and they point out the negatives when they begin their sentences with you you you never take responsibility for anything they never try to make it right they don't appreciate your business don't know what happened but I closed my account paid off the credit card not going to put up with it and I'm not going to put up with a 39 charge every year even though they told me they wouldn't charge it again and they reimburse me this time they refuse to reimburse unless I close the account so they could care less if they have anybody's business they're going to be out of business soon in my opinion.
