English Cake Company Reviews 17

Received in the post as a present. 2 cakes, 4 muffins. All completely dry, inedible. Let my relative who sent know so she won't use this company again. Such a shame.

I ordered a cake from the English Cake Company for an event on Sunday 17th of April. I ensured I pre-ordered the cake for a couple of days before hand, Friday the 15th April to ensure it arrived on time.

Without any correspondence from the Cake Company I had a delivery email from the delivery company to state the cake would arrive after the 17th April, so no use to me. I called up to see if they could check what had gone wrong and they said that Apparently their deliveries don't take place on bank holidays and there was no way to get it to me before the 17ths, even earlier or a day later.

I asked for a refund to which they agreed. It has been over a month later and I haven't had a refund for almost £100.00 I spent on something I never received.

The one star is for no contact to let me know if would be late from the company themselves, and no refund given for an item I never received.

So impressed with the quality, really helpful and friendly service, nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely order again.

Great service and beautiful cake. As I had left it until the last minute I was struggling to find a company to help. Ordered the cake online 6 days before my daughter’s 21st birthday and it arrived on the day I specified. Would order again and highly recommend.

Although the cake (Lindt chocolate) was good quality it was very small in circumference and I thought that £85.00 was a little steep for the cake. I also requested could I be supplied with additional macarons, that I would pay for them but they were not supplied despite saying it would be requested. The product did come well packaged and on time as I struggled to order a cake last minute.

Communication was terrific, item arrived as indicated and the cake was fresh and delicious!

The cake was delivered on time. It looked just like the photos. Tasted amazing & fresh and as specified was more than enough for around 15 people!

I am so happy to write this Preview of thanks to Gurdeep from the English Cake Company who has very kindly supplied some Beautiful cakes for the McMillian coffee morning in past years and is going to help us again this September. The cake are just AMAZING & the taste & flavours are to die for. The cakes are also available on line too

I passed 2 months in this company . It's was a great experience. The peoples is nice and very welcoming .
They make beautiful hand made cakes with a really good quality and prices . The cakes taste so good ! I recommend.

Great ingrediants, taste and overall excellent quality. I always make sure I pick up a pack of these cakes with my weekly shop. Highly recomended.

Amazing cake and well worth the money. I purchased this cake a few days ago. Delivery was fast the service was excellent and they went out of there way to make sure I was happy with the product before it was sent over to me. The look and taste was amazing! I ordered a cake from the English cake company for my son’s 19th birthday. We were having to isolate at the time, so I wanted something special delivered, it certainly lived up to expectations. I picked a picture of the cake on the web site, expecting it to be slightly different, when it arrived it was better. A beautiful creation, yellow and white stripped lemon cake topped with macarons. The cake arrived as promised on the day, late morning which was perfect timing for us. It was packaged substantially to avoid damage and very, very cold, it did need to be brought up to room temperature, although my son couldn’t wait and levered off one of the macarons within minutes, we were surprised with some chocolate cookies included as a gift, which was a lovely touch, needless to say they didn’t last long!
I would recommend the English cake company, yes it was pricey, but you get what you pay for – A high end, luxury showstopper of a cake – very impressive and I will be ordering again.
