First of all did the rapid test and…

First of all did the rapid test and filled in the form to be able to board this ferry WHICH nobody checked! Means wasted the money and time.
Second: the ferry was delayed for 1.5 hours.
Third: I had to pay extra money for printing the ticket.

As we can see you had booked a ticket with us for a trip with Aegeon Pelagos to travel from Santorini to Piraeus on the 16th of August.

On your booking confirmation we offer a link with an alert notice that encouraged you to study carefully the Covid-19 Protocols and according to which, at that point (because now the Protocols have become stricted) we informed you that - Travellers from the islands to the mainland : same rules about test as above, also a self-test declaration of less than 24 hours is accepted. Meaning that a simple self-test was enough.

We are sorry that you seem to have missed this information and made a rapid test which was not needed.

As far as the delay is concerned, we contacted Aegeon Pelagos and they informed us that it was a not predictable delay caused by the traffic on the ports due to peak season and therefore they could not have informed us about it in advance.

Concerning the 50 cents fee that some central offices charge for printing out the ticket we would like to remind you that this is notified to you both when you select the pick up method of your tickets and on your booking confirmation, we would like to clarify though, that not all the central offices charge such a fee.

It is a good site

It is a good site, it works, but I paid an extra fee to be able to change the ferries if I want, but to do that is not easy, you have to contact them, is not online, also I regret to buy with them because after I chose all the ferries I discovered that I have to pay an extra fee for them, that in another app I didn't need to pay this fee and would be the same prices for the ferry. So it works, but if you research there is other better options without a fee.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to inform you that the procedure to make an amendment to your tickets is very easy via an email.
You simply send us the request via email and we reply to you with the provided options in order to proceed. Since you had bought the business service fee package, you would not have been requested to pay any amendment fee if you requested us to change your tickets, while on the other websites that you mention that would not have charged a service fee, you would certainly pay an amendment fee if you requested a change in your tickets with them.
Furthermore, please note that most of the online agencies globally charge Service Fees. This is done to be able to cover the expenses needed in order to offer to you:
- Premium Service and assistance for whatever problem or question you may have.
- Information by email and SMS, as soon as the ferry company notifies us of a cancelled or changed itinerary, in order to try to find the best and the most convenient solution for you.
- Fast replies to your emails.

Must be e-tickets

First of all I didn’t like the policy of collecting ticket it should be e-ticket it’s bother me lot to find the agency as well as for that I was waist my time whereas I was in holiday

Easy to book

Easy to book, we found all the information on the website.
However, it's easy to book by ferriesingreece but then the service done by the boat company is not as good as it seems (we booked 3 trips and we had to around 2 hours of delay for each - it's impossible to plan a trip accurately with the boat company last minute changes)

Customer service is excellent.
The Pb is that the shipping company has cancelled a ferry from Paros to Piraeus on 26:8/2021 at 6.45AM.
We had to shorten our stay of one full day
This is totally apolling from the company but ferrieningreece not to blame for it

Good overall experience

Good overall experience. Most people wearing masks, staff were friendly and booking was easy. There were slight delays to one of the journeys but nothing major. Would book again

Efficient reservation portal and support; some extra fees should be avoided.

Very easy and efficient portal for reservation: all companies and schedules are clearly visible and comparable.
Reservation is very celar and straightforward.
Pricing policy is not so clean, though: besides the portal's fee over the ferry price, some extra costs appear along the way: a few € for some unspeciefied tax, an extra fee if paying by PayPal, and finally, at the port, 2€ for PRINTING the tickets (some companies do not issue electronic tickets, but also do no send a printable ticket, such as by pdf file: you thus need to take a LONG crowded queue and pay 2€ to get it printed at the port!).
Customer support was very efficient and stable, responding to my complaints about pricing (albeit with no change...),
Very detailed and clear resumes of fares and schedules are sent by email and SMS's.
On the return fare, the carrier first cancelled our departure replacing it with a delayed one, then delayed it once more. As a result we had to reschedule ($$$) our flight. Of course, this is NOT the reponsability of the portal, which constantly provided timely and clear updates, although in the end it declined my complainst stating that contract allows carriers to change their schedule at will.

We would like to clarify that before proceeding to the payment of the booking the user is clearly informed about the total rate he is going to pay with a detailed analysis.
It is also mentioned at the point where the user selects the method of picking up the tickets, that some port agencies may charge a fee of 0.5 or 1 euro per ticket for printing it.
We fully agree with you that this practice should not be needed and that all ferry companies should be able to offer e-tickets in order to avoid such fees and also in order not to need to wait in any queues.
Each year more and more ferry companies offer the e-ticket option so we are very positive that soon such practices will not exist.

We would like to inform you that we found by your name that you had booking order 244203 for a trip with Fast ferries from Piraeus to Syros and from Syros to Santorini and Santorini to Heraklion with Seajets.

We contacted both ferry companies to find out if there had been any delays and we were informed that indeed your trip with Seajets faced a delay of 1.5 hours on your trip Syros to Santorini, due to unforeseen technical issue on the date of your trip that they could not know in advance in order to inform us.
Furthermore they accepted to refund you 25% of the ticket rate for the specific trip, as a commercial gesture due to this inconvenience so we have refunded you accordingly with 77.7 euro and the amount shall show on your account in a few working days depending on your bank.

Please kindly note that we www.ferriesingreece.com are an online agency and not the ferry company so we feel that it is not fair to place this rating on our company as we can not affect the itineraries of Seajets and consequently we can not be held responsible for any possible delays.

we made three bookings for transfers Crete-Santorini, Santorini-Milos, Milos-Santorini. Clear process, in advance information by sms and email about scheduling changes. All perfect !

I was traveling with my wife and I…

I was traveling with my wife and I booked 2 seats and checked in as required for the company. Even when the seats seems to be together (12K and 13K) seats were in different rows, then I have to talk to other passangers to change. The second thing was the aircon. It is summertime and we use to wear summer clothes. It was impossible to stay on summer clothes on the seats because of the extreme cold airflow on my seat. The third thing is the seat. It did not stay at its possition and continously went backwards. The forth thing the costs of the coffee. 14 euros 2 coffees, and they did not supply what ordered. It was not a nice trip, even when we pay a "business fee".

Always late

Our ferry was rescheduled 3 times. Although it doesn't make sense, I had to pay to keep my originally scheduled departure time. The ferries were minimum 2 hours late for departure each time. Wasted 2 of our vacation days at the port. I would suggest scheduling evening ferries to not spend the sunlight with your luggage at a port.

We would like to clarify that we are an online agency and not a ferry company who changed your itinerary or had a delay and therefore we feel that this rating does not reflect our services to you.

Concerning the trip Naxos to Mykonos that you had booked for 10:40 and the ferry company, Seajets later changed it to be at 11:40 you asked us to change it for you in order to depart earlier. The earlier ferry they offered was more expensive as we have already explained to you in our email communication and this was the reason that you were requested to pay a difference of 12 euro. Afterwards, when we had already changed your tickets, they cancelled the earlier departure and transferred you to the 11:40 ferry again automatically. Therefore we contacted them and they accepted to refund to you even more than you had paid as ticket rate difference due to your inconvenience. As you know, we have therefore already refunded 18.85 euro 2 weeks ago to your account.

We really hope that you understand that we are an online agency and our responsibility is to handle all your amendment and cancellation requests and to keep you updated concerning any possible changes in your itineraries when we are notified about them. We cannot affect the itineraries of the ferry companies or be held responsible for their delays.

Problems with information

Problems with information
I want share some impressions that might be helpful for you and for your future clients.
So we’ve booked a ferry to Santorini from Heraclio.
We have approached to the port 1.5 hours before at 6-30 the departure as was recommended in the ticket instructions. And it was definitely saved our souls. Although we’ve filled a health reports that were required to fill previously there were no information about need of PCR text or rapid test that are MANDATORY to perform before embarkation. So personnel refused to embark us. We had to find a taxi, after that get to hospital to perform rApid test, to receive a results and to come to the vessel before 8-00. It was very very nervous and it was only because the were no information on your SITE!!! We have been vaccinated 10 days before the trip! But it also did not help! Because it’s required to be vaccinated 14 days at least before trip day.
So we were in time, but without any desire and mood.
Please in future right all the requirements CAREFULLY!!!

Why just 3 stars instead of 5

Why just 3 stars instead of 5? In contrast to the airline companies, the company did not keep its clients posted about frequently changing requirements to travel between islands during covid pandemia. We experienced a lot of trouble because of this. But the rest was excellent except for extremely slow bartenders.

Not a bad experience in terms of…

Not a bad experience in terms of booking process BUT issuing tickets were my 10 year old gets to sit not only on a different seat to me and his dad but different level of the boat???!!! Not great. Thankfully the crew were very helpful and put us all together (this happened both ways) but I can’t stop thinking about what would have happened if the boat was busier. Also collection charge from the travel agency on the port was €8 and I understand this has nothing to do with this company but it is still worth mentioning for others to avoid as having the tickets on your phone can do the same job and it’s free! I just went for it because my phone is old and it’s playing up in the Greek heat.

We would like to inform you that the seat numbers given to the passengers of the same booking are always in consequence upon availability. In some cases when the vessel is almost fully booked it can happen that some passengers of the same booking are separated. This is automatically done by the central ferry booking system, and we do not have the possibility to control or change it. We are very happy that the crew on the vessel could make the needed rearrangements for you in order to sit together. Concerning the fee that you paid for printing the tickets, as you mentioned, it could have been avoided if you used the web check in service that we described in your booking confirmation. We always recommend this way for the tickets’ delivery for the ferry companies that offer this service, in order to avoid supplementary printing fees and to avoid waiting in the queues of the port kiosks.

Trip Santorini to Crete- AWFUL- CHAOTIC !! They charge…

Trip Santorini to Crete- They charge you to print your tickets as the ridiculous high price isn't enough...
The onboarding to the ferry is chaotic- think about 300 people trying to get in and only 2 staffs checking the Covid documentation, yes thats it. August, very hot weather, you have to take your luggage, sweat as hell and wait a long time to actually seat.
Please book your seat and avoid the back where has access to the outside area- its noisy and never gets cool because of the constant open/close of the doors.
I only take this ferry because its the only option and maybe thats why the service and conditions are so poor for such a high price that you pay on your tickets : no competition at all.

Kindly note that we Ferriesingreece.com are an online agency selling ferry tickets for most Greek Ferry companies and as you understand we are not responsible for the waiting time and the chaotic boarding procedure as you described it. Concerning the fee for printing the tickets, please kindly note that we had alerted you about it in the booking confirmation email that we sent you and moreover we had also sent you instructions for Web Check-in by which you could have avoided to pay this fee.

Finally on the route Thira to Heraklion there are usually two ferry companies travelling, Seajets and Minoan lines and Aegeon Pelagos every Saturday so the truth is that there are other companies to select from.

Due to the above facts we believe that this rating should go to the ferry company Minoan Lines and not to us Ferriesingreece.com as it does not concern the services provided by ourselves.
