I had the privilege of working under Ms. Gita Ramachandran from 2008 to 2016 during the BORL IT implementation project and other. At the time, while technically sound, I lacked the awareness to project my efforts or communicate my value effectively to senior leadership.

Two and a half decades ago, I stepped into the world of technology as an Officer Trainee at BPCL. What shaped me most in those early years wasn’t just the systems I worked on or the code I wrote—but the extraordinary leadership of one person: *Gita*.

She didn’t just assign tasks—she sparked curiosity. She didn’t just guide—she empowered. Under her mentorship, I wasn’t just learning COBOL; I was discovering the courage to venture into new technologies like VB, ASP, Windows NT, and SQL Server 2000. Within a year, thanks to her faith and encouragement, I grew from a coder into a solution architect and technical lead. That foundation wasn’t just technical—it was transformational.
