Fantastic Poncho!
Ordered a poncho and did have to wait a while, but trust me - it was so worth it. The quality of Great Scot’s products is first class - thick and luxurious with such vibrant colours. I have 3 rhuanas and I bought my friend a poncho for her birthday. It was a total hit!
Special mention to Daisy in customer services who was just brilliant and helped chivvy things along. Definitely will buy again.

I love my scarf and snood and the customer service I have received was excellent. I bought my items after a sad time and they were incredibly understanding and supported me wonderfully when I made a mistake with my order.

Lovely earrings
The aurora earrings I ordered were lovely. However I did have a few issues with delivery but to be fair to the team they responded quickly to sort it out and were very good. They even added a free soap to apologise for the delivery issues.

Great Scot doesn’t even deserve the one star rating that I’ve had to give it to be able to start this review. If possible I’d have given it a score of -4!
Great Scot is the worst company I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with.
In September last year I ordered a made to measure kilt in a tartan of my choice. Great Scot immediately debited my bank account for £325. By Christmas no kilt had arrived.
I emailed to enquire when I might receive my goods. I was reminded by ultra-polite ‘Daisy’ of the expected lead time for made to measure items and asked to be patient.
I was patient but 6 months after placing my order, having sent several email enquiries and issuing a deadline, I cancelled my order and demanded a refund. I received a curt email confirming cancellation and that my full refund was being processed. After several weeks my bank account was credited with £162.50 - exactly HALF of what Great Scot had debited from my account over 6 months earlier.
Following further emails to ‘Daisy’ and threatening legal action, almost 8 months since I placed my order I have finally received a further credit for £162.50.
My advice to anyone considering ordering from Great Scot is - DON’T!!
Charity poncho for Maggies.
The Maggies’ poncho is woven with beautiful colours. It is lovely and warm and I can wear it with lots of my clothes.
It is wonderful to believe that Great Scot has produced this poncho as well as other garments, where every sale contributes to Maggies great place for cancer sufferers and their partners, carers and friends.
The company replies very quickly to emails, with lovely responses which made me feel that I mattered.
I received my order in less than a week too.

I ordered the Ukraine tartan over a year ago. Email response time is spotty. First email in autumn 2025: prompt response. Second email early April 2026: No response. I can only hope that at least some of my donation went to help Ukraine. Maybe someday I will receive my merchandise but I am not holding my breath.

I am still awaiting my order placed in May 2025 after several emails and replys and promises of delivery still nothing has arrived these items were gifts for a birthday gift in august last year and christmas. It is now February 2026 There is no telephone number so email contact only. I have asked them to issue a full refund if not able to delivery within 30 days that was January 3rd Still nothing.

Although the wait was longer than expected, when my Rhuana arrived, I was delighted with it. The tartan, the size and the wait was worth it.
I found it extremely good value, it is wool, and very warm. I chose the extra heavy one. I'm glad I did.

Don’t waste time and money on this piece of shite. Four months after placing the product and umpteen e-mails later, all I’ve got is «we are so sorry and looking into it». My next step is a police report for financial fraud.
September 2025 order and only part delivery AFTER Christmas
I ordered two items in September 2025. After following up the order in November explaining that the items were for Christmas presents, I received one item AFTER Christmas and an email blaming couriers and Royal Mail! No mention about the other item. Absolutely shocking. I have emailed again asking exactly when the other item will be delivered and if I don’t receive it within 7 days then I want a full refund. Waiting on a reply. Appalling service! And I would not recommend using them.
Dont use this company
Good at accepting the order and then bombarding you with marketing emails. Not good at communicating when purchase will be shipped. Lost faith in them so purchased from another company that shipped on the same day as purchase and the item turned up two days later. Glad I did as when the Great Scot item appeared looked nothing like the image on the website. Then you have to pay for the pleasure of returning something that has been mis sold. Wish i had reviews, not the ones on their website, and never purchased from this company

Superior Company and Product
I need to let you know that I truly enjoy wearing my pink ribbon tartan Curaidh. I have worn it many times here in town and on several excursions…..Alaska, New York, San Diego, etc….it kept me comfortable in all but the very warmest weather (San Diego lasted only until noon and then was folded and packed away). I’ve noticed there are other items made using this tartan which will surely be a success…..there’s a kilt too!
This tartan is a very real and powerful statement to the strength and resilience of those embroiled in the battle against this disease, those who’ve survived and, of course, those we’ve lost. It’s quite simply a gorgeous visual reminder promoting awareness and communication.
I am a 6 yr survivor of breast cancer and a 48 yr survivor of ewing’s sarcoma (a bone marrow cancer). I am proud to wear this ruana in remembrance as well as to show off the superb quality and workmanship of the Pink Ribbon Tartan Curaidh which is stylish, warm and absolutely beautiful. As one might expect, the compliments have been numerous and by people of all walks of life. I just thought you might like to know.
When I visit Scotland (likely late spring 2027) I will be wearing “the pink” and now will add the new ruana purchased Jan 2026. May you be blessed with good health, creative and prosperous achievements and of course peace in your heart and mind.

They take your money then don’t speak to you
My husband and son ordered me the breast cancer kilt at £395…….. for Christmas , they ordered it the first week in November ……nothing arrived for Christmas , l emailed them on behalf of my son but no reply .
My very disabled husband is livid , he was so pleased l had chosen something like this for Christmas , now he’s upset .
They do not answer the phone, do not answer emails….oh dear another scamming company who takes your money and then just ignores you .
I’m asking for a refund ( well son is ) unless this money is returned within three weeks of email l will take country court action against them .

I have not heard anything from the company as of 31 Dec 2025 I have tried every route to contact customer service but sadly no response. As a breast cancer survivor it is doubly upsetting, is a % of the proceeds actually going to a breast cancer charity as stated???? Do not buy from this company
Rubbish customer service
I can’t comment on the quality etc as I haven’t received the scarf I ordered. I ordered it for Christmas and as I haven’t received a dispatch notification and it’s now out of stock online I’ve tried chasing it up by AI in first instance and then by email. I just get a stock email in return saying delivery people are to blame but no answer to my query as to whether it’s been dispatched and if not to cancel order! Rubbish customer service and won’t buy from them again.

Ordered a 'made to order' item which was on a 2 week lead time. Four weeks later it still hadn't been shipped. Upon chasing I was told it would be dispatched that week. Order arrived and the item was damaged. Tried to contact the company to discuss but only available via email. The response, after another 3 week wait, was that I can return it at my cost with a £20 restocking fee to be taken out of my refund. So now I'm down £26 for a faulty item that should never have been sent out to a customer anyway.
To add the vault to injury the Return has now been returned to me as the returns address does not exist. I've once again contacted the company to be fobbed off by 'Daisy' from customer service who is seeing what she can do. I shan't hold my breath.
I CANNOT express enough....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Bought a pink tartan blanket, waited 8 months for it, received a faulty blanket a few days later when I emailed to say I was now going to contact my credit card company to request a claim for goods not received.The blanket had a turquoise mark and covered in debris.
I have an email stating they will pay my p&p return costs but they haven’t and are not responding to emails.

I ordered 2 scarfs for Christmas gift’s , had plenty of emails to encourage more buying but no answer to a direct email about the whereabouts of my order 4 weeks on .
