Awful company

Awful company, poor customer service, slow responses and do not handle complaints properly. Will swindle you out of money by servicing your boiler then saying you need a new one as they won't insure it. Their sister company then calls offering you great deals, which is all lies! Had new boiler installed by them didn't work properly for over 2months and then they don't give you a refund on the payments you made for a boiler that doesn't work! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS -Has caused me so much stress, loss of time and money!

Misleading policy ......

Extremely disappointed with this so call insurance cover which does not cover what it saids. When I took our the policy, it indicates central heating, plumbing & electric etc, something many customers, esp for a single mum like me. At present, I have a leaky tap and was hoping that such a simple thing is covered as part of the insurance. Disappointedly, I phoned and they said its not covered that a leaky tap is covered as part of my policy but as call out which will cost me £95 plus parts.
A leaky tap is a plumbing issue and a very simple one. If that is not covered, then I don't know what is????

This is my first year with Homerescue and will also be the last. I believe the description of their policy is very misleading.

Biggest insurance con Wish we had read the reviews

Wish we had read the reviews. Biggest con with small prints. What is the point of paying for repairs when u pay insurance. Price are cheap to entice u in a contract. Not worth paying cheap, you end up paying a dearer price. So please do not take this insurance.

Stay clear don’t be fooled by cheap price

So I have the complete home care package with 24/7 great cheap price and now I’ve realised why they rope you in with the cheap price . I have zero excess on call outs ect and get a boiler service included .
I had my annual boiler serviced by one of their own engineers and he said I have two leaks and told me I could not use the boiler and gave it a risk to life warning label on it .
Home 24/7 call me to say it is beyond economical repair due to it age (11 years ) so I being to search for new boilers including a quote from 24/7 of just short 3k including a contribution of £195 from them . I then remembered I have home emergency on my home insurance gave them a call come out within two hours and replaced the parts and said they cost next to nothing and he was done in less than 20 minutes. Stay clear of 24/7 scammers

247 HOME RESCUE SCAM

the company have engineers who are not fit to be engineers and they have senior admin personnel who know this and cover this up by refusing to acknowledge the claims and tell point blank lies. an engineer has damaged the bolts/nuts on a pump housing from where there was a leak this has been done by shearing them by forcefully trying to open them with the incorrect tools and then left the job by saying he had fixed the problem, however the leak was still continual and the tenants and housing for the property confirmed this, we contacted the company who have failed to resolve or give a sensible reason as to why when NO ONE else other than their engineer has been to the address they will not re imburse the costs for the repairs which we have had to undertake after consistent complaints from the tenants and refusal by the company to acknowledge that their engineer had damaged the part.

I signed up with this company in May …

HOMERESCUE 24/7
I signed up with this company in May 2020.
In March 2023, I had a phone call from an engineer saying I needed to pay £30 for an inhibitor, which till date has not been done. I had to phone up today to instigate a refund. Furthermore, the last time I recieved a gas safety check certificate was in 2021, nothing was provided via any means including their customer service portal till I demanded one today. One of their call handlers told me the gas cert failed and would I like to upgrade my policy, I said NO I need to see the report first before
making any decisions !!! Well well well it was finally sent to my email and guess what the engineer had passed the boiler as being safe !"""
I view this as being very underhanded and manipulative behaviour
Finally I said I've had enough you increased my premiums from £28.99 to £31.99 and offer no added value whatsoever please cancel my policy. To my utter dismay I was told my last DD will be paid in September, my next payment is actually due on the 17th of this month. It's unbelievable that companies who deliver poor services can get anyway with this kind of diabolical behaviour.

YOU CAN TELL THEY DON'T HAVE GOOD ETHICAL VALUES AS THEY HAVE NOT BOTHERED TO RESPOND TO ANY REVIEWS OF LATE. STAY WELL CLEAR

Do not deal with them

Do not deal with them, they make up fictitious policies and then invoice you.
They offer you a contact email address, and then bounces back as 'not being monitored'
They should be closed down.

Purchased insurance on Saturday 23 July…

Purchased insurance on Saturday 23 July 2022. Cancelled Monday 25 July 2022.

DO NOT be drawn in by the price of their mobile phone insurance. I did not read the reviews on this company and I have paid for it. I read the reviews after their email address did not work. I sent them pictures of my mobile at their request and the email bounced back - this address is no longer accepting emails. There were no other email addresses on their website or policy documents that they sent me. It had taken me about 40 minutes to speak to them on the phone; this was for another matter. I thought maybe it was just bad luck, an unusually long wait on the phone however, still disturbed about the email address, I phoned them again and cancelled the insurance. Later I found out that there was a £15 cancellation fee. UNACCEPTABLE.

If there was less that one star I would…

If there was less that one star I would give it. I have a blocked drain outside from the dishwasher washing machine and sink. Phoned to get plumber to unblock it. They say I’m not covered as it’s not an emergency! Said they would escalate it to complaints and I could expect an acknowledgment letter in 10 days and that’s for a drain blockage. Absolute rubbish. Don’t use them.

NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have now been trying to contact Home Rescue or Dynamocover for about 2 weeks both by email and telephone but cannot make contact. No reply from emails and telephone calls that are not answered - except to leave me hanging on the phone for so long that I eventually gave up. Would NOT recommend this company or ever use them again.

Dont be put off by the bad reviews

Reading a number of the reviews on here I was horrified as to what to expect when I put my claim in when my phone was stolen. The claims process requires a few docs that I had to get from my service provider and the company I bought the phone from but once they were submitted the claim went through in less than a day. Did I get a brand-new phone to replace my 18-month-old one, no. Did I get a phone that was the same colour as mine, no. What I did get however was a 3-month-old phone that has been reconditioned (and looked like new) that is exactly the same spec as mine only a slightly different colour. All in all, I was very happy with the service and think its worth the premium that I paid (two thirds of the cost of Apple Care). As for the phone being a different colour, I actually quite like what they have given me so that’s an added bonus!!

Similar Terrible Experience As Many Here

Similar experience to many here, auto-renewed when asked for it not to be. Called day after auto-renewed to ask for refund as only notice it auto-renewed and was told T&C mean they dont have to refund anything but were able to cancel it! They are adamant they sent an email saying it was auto-renewing but have checked multiple emails, folders, etc and I recieved nothing from them. DO NOT USE EVER. They are owned by dynamocover.com DO NOT USE THEM EITHER.
