This is a bunch of thieves

This is a bunch of thieves. They are also operate as Hormeserve. They take your money and that's all they do.
Once they get your bank details they keep taking on monthly DD and wish no one checks. You can't just stop them by cancelling the DD, they have many tricks up their sleeves to syringe money out of your bank. Some one should report these bas****s to fair trading and put them behind bars.

This company will take your money and not have you Insurace valid

This company will take your money and make any kind of issue to have your claim declined. I have taken a policy out with them and when I made the claim every time they would say you have not provided me with this picture with that picture. The staff on the phone are on of the rudest people you can come across. Discussing with the insurance company. I don’t understand why they even aloud to operate after me seeing so many complain on about them.

Home Fiasco.cost.not.ok

My heating stopped working. I have a home emergency policy with homerescue.co. Apparently a broken central heating system can only be repaired if it causes me physical harm, is unsafe and puts me at risk. Short of the boiler falling through the ceiling onto me, this is virtually impossible.
The policy is designed to be impossible to claim from and the website is misleading.
Total waste of money.

This company has no compassion for…

This company has no compassion for anyone, I called them for service due to boiler breakdown, I was on holiday therefore called them from Spain,.I explained to them that my elderly parents are at home and require boiler repairs, I paid the excess, engineer came and said the pcb is blown will order a new one and get the boiler up and running in a few days. This was on the Saturday19/10, by the Sunday things changed, their so called” stay warm team had sent me a text in Spain asking me to call them, spoke to an obeisant and heartless Man, who offered to sell me a boiler at £35 pm for ten years. I told them the engineer said the boiler is good and just needs this part. Oh no they wanted to sell me a boiler, he also saved my number just in case I called back and yes when I phoned back he was waiting to pounce. The customer service is corrupt, they are not interested in the customer. Please avoid at all costs, you get what you pay for. Never again stick to the main companies who care about vulnerable people.

Corrupt and a complete joke of an insurance company!

Quite honestly the most corrupt and ridiculous insurance company to exist. If only I had read the reviews before taking out a policy.

I have been completely conned by them, and I honestly believe they do everything in their power to take your money and not make a claim.

DO NOT GET AN INSURANCE POLICY WITH THEM, YOU WILL HONESTLY REGRET IT!!

Do not use - worst company I've ever dealt with

I took out insurance with Home Rescue (also known as Dynamo and PEX Insure and acting on behalf of Premium Credit - you will receive emails from all of these companies should you make the mistake of taking out a policy with them) in November 2018. They are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. They made it nearly impossible to claim for my iphone screen repair - you have to complete an inordinate amount of forms, take it to get a repair quote (wasting time) and then wait for their approval before even being able to fix it. They do not answer the phone, they don't reply to emails, they're rude and inefficient and unpleasant. They finally reimbursed my phone repair but said that if any other faults were found during the repair it would be invalidated (Apple assured me this would not be the case, insurers always pay if more repairs are needed but when I called to check, they said that any action taken without the approval being redone would not be paid for) In august I replaced by phone and was NEVER going to use them again so I called and emailed to cancel. They confirmed that there was one remaining payment or I could pay a cancellation fee. I said are you sure that if I pay this one remaining payment it will be completed and it won't auto renew? They confirmed. However now it's November, the insurer they work on behalf of sent me an auto renew notice and when I called them they said they have no such record of my previous request - and that I had to pay the balance AND cancellation fee. They said AS A GESTURE OF GOOD WILL they would LET me pay the cancellation fee. Why would I want to pay for a policy that was dreadful and for a phone I no longer have? I can't believe such businesses are even able to exist.

Total and utter scam!!

Total and utter scam!!!

We changed from British Gas for our boiler cover using this company (Home Rescue/Dynamo Cover).
Towards the renewal we were supposed to have an inspection by an engineer. We rang and rang and rang chasing this up. We never got through and after reading reviews about Home Rescue we went back to British Gas.

This morning we received an email to say that they had renewed our cover and had charged us with £115. We had not received any communication regarding renewal and we never signed up for any auto renew.

After speaking with our bank, they said the company must provide a communication about renewal. You also have 15 days to receive a refund if not satisfied.

We rang Dynamo Cover who said they had sent a renewal email. We had not received anything!!!

To cancel the transaction they charged us £8.99 fee.

We will be contacting the bank and requesting that this is cancelled.

After reading the reviews here we wished we had checked before paying them.

We are going to contact trading standards and advise other people that have been scammed by this company to do the same.

My laptop was badly damaged

My laptop was badly damaged, I contact them claim and they said they hadn't received an image of the computer so it wasn't covered. I had no record of them asking for the image or chasing me for them.

They replied that they had sent me 1 email, 6 months ago. So that whole time I had been paying for a service where they weren't evening covering my devices. I asked them that since the laptop no longer exists and they're not actually giving me any cover on any of my devices that I would like to cancel the "coverage" and they said I would have to settle all of the remaining "coverage" upfront.

Absolutely gutted!

Home Rescue.co TERRIBLE COMPANY.

AVOID!!! RIP OFF!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Advisors not helpful and very patronising, especially Spencer.

I took their boiler service out as found them through GoCompare. £157.99 emergency boiler, plumbing, heating, pest control and annual service. Unless your boiler has completely packed up and home is inhabitable then they will not help you. Total disgrace. My boiler stopped working in January and they refused to send someone out as I could still live in the house, I had to pay £120 for a boiler company to come fix the issue. He told me that it was a complete breakdown and had to replace a part. I've since that time tried to book my annual service, 2 months after the initial call and I am still waiting, with several calls in between to find out when or if I will ever get my service. I have been given the excuse that there's nobody available in the area to do it, so just sit and wait until someone calls to arrange it. Still waiting and my policy is due to run out in 1 week. To top this all off, they have auto renewed my policy for next year, I have told them previously that I wouldn't renew with them due to it being worthless, that made no difference, they said they sent me an email renewal notice and in there was a link to cancel, funny that I never received that specific email and the only ones I did receive was thanking me for the renewal and how much they had taken from me, sent my policy documents. I called to complain, very patronising advisor, told me as I was outwith the 14 days cooling off period I would incur a charge of £8.99, I said the payment was taken a few days ago and my policy documents were sent a few days ago so I am within that 14 days, he said no 14 days from when you originally ever purchased a policy with us is the cancellation period, so I'm way passed that time frame, I tried to tell him that in the policy wording it stated from the date payment was taken or policy documents are sent whichever comes first, he argued point blank so I hung up. Called a different advisor who said I was outwith my cooling off period from when they sent the renewal notice emial that I didn't get, so he told me a different story to the first guy, he then said as a gesture of goodwill he will reduce the fee to £6.99, which in the end I agreed to pay as I couldn't argue anymore, I just wanted my money back.

Wish I had never taken it as this level of cover is included in some home insurances, or could add at a cost of around £35, the only thing you pay yourself is a boiler service with a registered boiler company. I didn't know that I could add that to home insurance as it was the first time ever purchasing a house with my own boiler.

Stay away from this company, I've read many bad reviews so far and now I am one of those people who have had a terrible experience with them.

Don't take their Pexinsure gadget cover

Despite having a claim accepted weeks ago, they refuse to tell me how much the payout amount will be and when I will get the money. Each time I call they fob me off saying the information will be with me soon (usually within the next 24 hours) but the email never arrives. They have told me that payment is not guaranteed within any period of time. I assume their business model is to hope you give up chasing them so they don't have to pay out. Not worth the cost saving on premiums, go with a company that will actually pay out on time.

Update: Only after writing this review have I actually received a settlement figure. It was £90 (£40 after deduction of the excess) for a OnePlus 5T phone bought new for £400 less than a year ago. Average second hand values for these phones are in excess of £200, so it is impossible to find a replacement on this budget.

Their offer is less than the annual premium (plus they require you to spend money to actually get the claim accepted by paying for services such as CheckMEND. I also had to spend £20 to get the phone examined by iSmash before they'd accept the claim) - absolutely no point having a policy with them.

WORSE COMPANY - Do Not Use

Home Rescue Co apparently insured my phone. Until I came to claim, its now been 19 days since I lost my phone and I have filled in Claims forms which no one has replied to, then I've been sent to a different company and told they don't have claims form so I completed a telephone questionnaire. No I keep being told Home Rescue Co will deal with claim in house but no-one ever calls me back!!! Avoid at all costs!!!

Worst company I have ever dealt with

Worst company I have ever dealt with. They Do not reply to emails. Home Rescue are the broker apparently. Now that I want to make a claim on my gadget insurance for broken iPhone screen, home rescue pass me over to Pex Insure. Now pex insure don't answer emails and when you call they say claims department doesn't have a phone. Emails only!! Back on the phone to home rescue who are now saying there's nothing they can do as they are only a broker! They are not helpful in anyway. 6 wks of trying to find out what is happening with claim. I have cancelled my direct debit, sent an email to Pex for their complaints department and will take my complaint to ombudsman also. Companies should never get away with this. Taking peoples money and not honouring the agreement of said service we are paying them for. Raging is an understatement. 🚩STAY AWAY FROM HOME RESCUE. PEX INSURE. DYNAMO COVER🚩

I WISH I READ REVIEWS FIRST!

I WISH I READ REVIEWS FIRST!! Do not buy their policy, they cover you for nothing. I actually mistook this company for 24/7 rescue and it was too late to change by the time I realised and thought I'd give them a go. THE WORST MISTAKE EVER. My policy is suppose to include a boiler service- I've called 3 times and someone was suppose to come and service. Taken time off work and no one has arrived. Then my boiler breaks down but unless the boiler is exploding then they don't cover it. The customer service is poor you get transferred to different rude people so you have to explain yourself 3-4 times. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. A complete scam of a company.
