Disappointed as this used to be one of my favourite places. Will never be returning.
I arrived with my sister and my cousins, that is 2 households which is fine. Told the member of staff that we are medically exempt and we were asked to show proof of exemption which you are not allowed to do, I could sue her personally for that. I said we do not need to prove this because this is confidential information. I then took my exemption card out because tbh I wanted food and my other cousin and sister showed there’s but the last cousin didn’t because her phone was out of battery so what were we supposed to do about that? The exemption card is on our phones. She then consulted her colleague and said that we are all exempt and the colleague replied saying”you are all exempt?” As though we were lying. That is appalling customer service. She then ignored the fact we said we are exempt and continued to say that we must all sit outside when this is not the rules. If you are medically exempt you are allowed to not where a mask. The member of staff then said yeh you have to sit outside because this is the rules. She is wrong, this is not the rules. Your staff members need to be trained and taught what the actual legislations are and not be making up rules. They were really discriminating against people that have medical and/or mental conditions. Just because I am exempt I have to be sitting outside? Makes no sense. I have been to other restaurants eg nandos, said I am exempt and they let me in so no, that member of staff is completely wrong and had no idea what she was talking about. Ridiculous.
