Bought our house In Skelmersdale vision, laures left over a year ago without finishing the roads or the paths there full of potholes the paths are dangerous, laures blaming saxon , saxon blaming laures ,no one wants to know so now we are left with an unsellable house absolutely disgusting moving
on without finishing the roads don't go near these people.
Do not buy a property from laurus homes
The most inadequate customer service. Cannot communicate as a company with each other or to customers when things go wrong. I bought my flat 5 years ago and STILL have a leaking roof which has now developed mould in my property. The roof has leaked since the day I moved in. Staff clearly think nothing is an urgent matter.

Poor sales team who need a kick up the a***
Sales team need to remember that people are buying a house and not a pint of milk.
This is a big decision and wanting to look round a show home before putting a house on the market shouldn't be seen as 'time wasting'.
My and my wife arrived on site at around 16:00, the site shut at 17:00. We went to look round one of the show homes but because one of the sales team had 'loads of admin to do' she wouldn't allow us to look around one of the houses on site. It was suggested that we should book a slot for following week and come back. It was pretty obvious that they just wanted to get off for the day.
Ultimately, it would have taken us about 10 mins to look around one of the homes, but because our house wasn't on the market she wasn't interested.
Low and behold, our house sold within 10 days of being on the market and although we did like one of the Laurus homes, we decided not to pursue our interest as we didn't want to deal with the sales team.
I'd suggest if you improve your customer service maybe you'd sell some of the homes that have been sat on the market for the last 6 months...

Do not buy from Laurus
Do not buy from Laurus. We have been in our home two years now. At first everything was fine, the sales advisor seemed great and we do love our house. The site as a whole however has been a shambles. The houses have all been built for a long time but the road still has not been tarmacked. It is full of cracks and potholes and looks disgusting. Contractors (MCI Developments) have not been on site for months now, it’s just been abandoned. They left fencing and rubbish strewn about all over the place for months. United Utilities are refusing to take over the sewer system as the drains are full of debris and rubble. The council are refusing to adopt the roads hence why they cannot be tarmacked. One house has had to have absolutely everything ripped out as it is covered from top to bottom in mould inside. We were told this was due to a leak however a contractor advised a neighbour that they forgot to install the damp proof course. Laurus are now completely ignoring any emails I send. I am left with no choice to report this to our warranty provider and the financial ombudsman which will be my next step. I read the bad reviews when we were in the purchase process but ignored them as we wanted a house so much - it’s our first home and we really like the area. Don’t make the same mistake.

I would like to share my experiences with Laurus homes in fulfilling my dreams in purchasing a new built home.
Right from the beginning till completion especially happy to mention Toni Bradshaw in pushing right people at the right time ,coordinating everything which makes the buying process runs very smoothly and effectively ,clarifying all queries with us .
I do remember there was lot of barriers and unexpected delays unfortunately in my case, but Toni honestly with her active involvement managed to sort out that situation.
Finally, not the least the support showed by Olivia in the absence of Toni also really appreciated

Drainage issue ongoing for 6 months. When will it be resolved?
I have read all of the replies from Laurus homes who say the problems on Earlsbrook were unforeseen. Only by them! Four developers turned down the opportunity to develop the site as it has always been prone to flooding, and local residents raised this before planning permission granted. Homeowners should have their money refunded in full and the site should be condemned. The ongoing sewage flooding out onto Station Road is creating a health hazard for residents on the Earlsbrook Estate and Station Road.

This company needs to be shut down
I’ve had to write a review because I’m outraged by this company (which is now London and Quadrant or L&Q). They pretend they are sorting out monumental issues. Most of the times it’s lip service and utter lies. If they do attempt to sort a problem they do it in the cheapest way possible and make you wait until the cheapest possible option is available.
From the comments there seems to be one development that appears to have decent sales advisors called Toni and Heather. Purchasers on that site, see how you feel in 3-6 months. Also think about how ‘encouraged’ you were to write a 5-star review. I’m willing to bet, you’ll regret it in time, no matter how nice the sales people were.
I’m furious at the responses posted by Laurus Homes to the huge amounts of negative comments. I know from my own experience and scores of neighbours, you are not constantly working to improve. Issues with individual houses have gone on for years. Issues which have been pointed out beyond any doubt.
You refer to Earlsbrook having unforeseen issues. These are issues of your making. The development is Helsby has also ceased, only part built and every previous development has had a tide of complaints.
This is a cheap, ignorant company with little knowledge of the sector they’re in and abhorrent customer care.
Readers, look at their responses. Look at the scale of time of complainants and note NOTHING changes. Also look at London and Quadrant as they are Laurus.

Amazing experience
I arranged to view a house i was interested in beginning of September, Toni introduced herself and was very professional with information given prior to site visit, I looked at the show homes and was very impressed with the finishes internally. Toni then took me to the type house i was interested in for me to look at site location.
Nothing was too much trouble for her, she showed me all the features which my house will have. I decided to purchase the house and 19 days later its reserved. We had a few issues along the way, but with Toni it was never a problem and she always had the solution. Toni made the whole process from Start to finish very smooth, When Toni was on her Day off Olivia answered my questions very quickly. Toni has been a pleasure to deal with and I feel i have made a friend as well as finding my new home , and with Olivia you make great friendly professional Team.Thank you Toni you are a credit to Laurus homes.

Terrible customer care
Terrible after sales. They do not reply to emails when reporting issues. Since being taken over by the LG Group the lack of customer care is even worse.
Over the last month I have reported 4 issues and had no response or unacceptable responses. Customer Care is not a title they should use.

Toni and Olivia were both outstanding in helping myself and my wife secure our dream home on D'urton Grange. If it was for Toni constantly pushing the correct people in the right direction at the right time, our home move would simply not have happened. From reserving our home and then it falling through to managing to re-reserve the same house Toni has been with us every step of the way and we can only be super super grateful for the effort she put in to make sure everything went ahead. Even now as we reside in our new home we have received emails to make sure were are satisfied with everything.

Very pleased with Laurus overall. The quality of housebuild is very impressive. Looked long and hard for things to put on the snag list, even an expert was struggling to find something to point out. The staff from day one last May have been very helpful, delays in completion were well beyond their control. Toni Bradshaw responded well to our concerns and backed us well chasing up enquiries. Nice to see the office open 7 days a week with capable agents such as Olivia in place. Snags now fully resolved. Happy to be a shared ownership resident in D’Urton Grange. Equally happy with LQ and Metro all worked well for me.🤞

They need authorities to look at them
Everything is made so painful at Earlsbrook (and most other sites reading reviews). Just talking to my neighbour. Seems you’re hard pushed to find anyone here whos not suffering from this dreadful company.
We read all the pointless replies from Laurus. All they ever say is you can email us when they know full well all of have and they’ve ignored us. Anybody reading should remember they get a better score on trustpilot if they are seen to reply quickly. Look at their replies, literally nothing is done to make things better.
