Working with Mediacubs

We worked with mediacubs over our summer camps, it was a great way of building confidence and introducing children to different aspects of media.

All staff members knew how to engage with the children and was a pleasure to work alongside.

Fantastic club!

Such a great club!
My daughter has now attended for 3 weeks and is so sad that it has finished. It's helped her with confidence, having to speak out and present news reports. She's also learned some interviewing skills and overall, it has been a fun, interactive and creative experience.
We would love this club to continue in term time, maybe one evening after school. It is teaching them such useful skills and the young people running it are all excellent - so friendly, kind and approachable. I can tell that they've had great training and know what they are doing. This in turn inspires the children and a club like this is so important to help children understand how the media works. Following this, my daughter is now considering journalism as a career!

Media Cubs is absolutely fantastic

Media Cubs is absolutely fantastic. My daughter has grown in confidence, skills, relationships and academically too. The Big Boss is great with the mini reporters and the children learn how to hear each other and share ideas. My daughter has even made her own news reports based on her local area to share, plus she has had the chance to review products, interview famous people and have her work appear in publications. There really isn't a negative. Upon joining they get a media pack which the mini reporters then work though together. It comes with stickers and a media pass. A fun activity is finding an item to use as their reporter mic 😂 My daughter uses a washing up brush that looks perfect for the task. I think this is a must class for any child interested in any type of media journalism/ presenting etc career but it's also very useful for children, like mine, who don't want a media career because the skills once mastered are transferrable to all parts of life.

We found mediacubs by accident through…

We found mediacubs by accident through the first lockdown and it has given my youngest something to look forward to each week. Engaging in conversations and learning with other children around her own age has been increbile for her confidence and also something productive to do which she enjoys. We have gained loads of benefits by being part of mediacubs, she has learned lots, increased her personal skills, she has fun, it gives me an hour to do mum things and she has made new friends. Thank you
