Beware — don’t share your data.
Momence, co-founded by Matteo Carroll (Harvard MBA, Y Combinator alum), is one of the most dishonest companies I’ve ever dealt with. On a recorded Zoom sales call, they misrepresented a critical integration to induce me into a contract. I run an appointment-only wellness studio, made my needs clear, and was reassured their system could deliver. It couldn’t.
Trusting their word, I gave them one month of full access to six years of my client + sales data (2019–2025) so they could handle migration. I spent weeks setting up their platform, preparing to launch. Only the day before launch did they finally admit their software didn’t do what they promised. That is not a misunderstanding. That is fraudulent inducement.
When I demanded proof my sensitive client data was deleted, they sent me a sham “certification” signed only as “Authorized Representative” — no name, no title, no accountability. A middle schooler could see that’s meaningless. When I provided a proper certification letter requiring a responsible officer’s name, title, and signature, they refused to sign and ignored my deadline.
Instead, they now hide behind faceless emails signed “Momence Legal,” claiming they are keeping my records under “litigation hold” while still refusing to certify deletion. So which is it? Deleted, or preserved? Either way, it proves one thing: this company is evasive, dishonest, and unsafe with data.
If this is the best a Harvard MBA + YC-backed founder can offer, it’s embarrassing — for them, for their investors, and for anyone foolish enough to trust them.
Momence wasted my time, mishandled six years of data, and then refused accountability. Business owners: do not risk your client data or your trust on this company.

I have been a long term customer of momence, over 5 years. Recently, I tried to make a simple change to my appointment structure. It was impossible. Took hours, and by mistake I added an extra location, because the appointment system was not showing me any venues that I had. Little did I know that would trigger a 10x price increase, which no one has been able to help with. Then my clients couldn't book becuase of the location issue. This product is fiddly to use as an independent/small business. To many options, that you have to go backwards and forwards to configure. It is confusing, and errors are impossible to avoid.
