Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 39 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the product and its quality, noting a significant decline in taste and consistency. Customers frequently mentioned that the coffee now tastes watered down, bland, or even unpleasant, with some describing it as tasting like "cheap coffee" or having a "minty chemical taste." Reviewers also expressed strong dissatisfaction with the pricing and value for money, citing instances of "shrinkflation" where product quantities were reduced (e.g., 7 sachets instead of 8 or 10, smaller jar sizes) while prices remained the same or increased. This led many to feel that the company was prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction and that they were no longer getting good value for their money.

Absolutely Ghastly Instant Latte

The “new” recipe instant Latte sachets have increased sugar and decreased coffee content, and imo taste absolutely vile. Please change it back Nescafé - have you not heard of the obesity and diabetes crisis in this country? The boffin that came up with this recipe should be reprimanded at the very least. I’ve tried emailing their Customer Care, but was told feedback had been really positive - erm…they obviously haven’t read Trustpilot lately! I’m not the only one who thinks it now tastes like dishwasher water AFTER the 50^ cycle!!!

Awful new Latte taste

Agree with everything that the previous reviews have said. You can add sugar if you like a sweeter drink, but you can’t remove it. With the NHS highlighting the Obesity problem, this is a backward step for Nescafé.
Have emailed them to ask for their comments.

So sad that Nescafé decided to axe the delicious Smooth and Creamy Iced Java. The substitute is simply horrible. I was totally enjoying the syrup with their powdered Espresso but it’s time to move on and find another solution. 1 customer gone. 😢

The new Latte is huge backward step for Nescafe. With increased sugar and fat and what appears to be reduced coffee it is just an over-sweet mess. One of my favourites has become one to avoid. What are Nescafe up to?

I've bought gold cappuccino sachets for years. Enjoyed every one.
Now I feel really let down. I can't believe someone like you think that we will drink the Cappuccino you're selling now. Please own up to making a mistake and bring back the quality coffee we've all grown to love

Disgusting flavour

I used to enjoy a Nescafe Latte I would call it my fix, but the new format is disgusting and has no taste. What annoys me is they don't care about the consumer, and I agree with others if it is broken why fix it.
Bring back Gold otherwise I will have to look for an alternative. If the public stop purchasing it Nestle will have to listen to us

I'm with all the other reviews

I'm with all the other reviews, I would drink a packet a day. But will switch to another brand as the new latte are disgusting 🫣 why mend something that's not broken, all to save some money at the expense of your customer 🤔

Another lost customer

I used to buy a box of latte every day to take into work. New recipe is vile, doesn't even taste like coffee. Too sweet and insipid. Won't be buying any more. Why make a change for the worse? Probably cheaper

Disappointed

For years I have bought the Nescafé Latte sachets. I have one with baileys everyday. The packaging has changed but it doesn’t say anything about the ingredients changing. The latte is so sweet, it is horrible and I am completely gutted. Please bring back the original or do a unsweetened version.

The new latte sachets are horrible

The new latte sachets are horrible! Too sweet and more like hot sweet milk than something even remotely tasting of coffee. From drinking this on a daily basis I now won't be buying them again! So well done, your once 'satisfied' customers are now disappearing fast! . Scrap these and bring them back as they were...and bring back the skinny lattes too whilst you are at it!

Nescafé Gold Latte recipe changed - awful.

Nescafé Gold Latte recipe changed (no longer Gold) - absolutely disgusting don’t buy! Been using these sachets for years & now they’ve changed the recipe. Glucose syrup is now the main ingredient & coffee has dropped from 12% to 8%. It’s far too sweet & the taste is horrible. Sadly I won’t be buying anymore. Why did they change it?!

What on earth have Nescafe done to…

What on earth have Nescafe done to their Latte ? It is absolutely revolting, tastes nothing like it used to. It’s unbelievably sweet. My family and friends all agree and we are now stuck with four boxes that no one wants. Please go back to the old formula and if it’s not sweet enough for some, they can add their own sugar.

Nescafé- I have been buying 10 boxes of lattes a week because that was all I drank. I tried that new recipe and it is revolting! On comparison you have halved the coffee content, isn’t palatable and I will not be buying these again. You need to listen to your consumers because judging by the previous reviews we all agree that you have lost our custom. I will try another brand of latte probably the Starbucks which actually have the right amount of coffee ratio.

Nescafe cappuccino

Check ingredients on side of box, previously 12% instant coffee plus 11% roasted and ground coffee, now just 12% instant coffee, no coffee flavour, just sweet milk taste. Customers treated like fools.

Whatever have Nescafé done to Latte sachets! Like a lot of other people giving feedback here I’ve been buying latte sachets for several years and find the new taste absolutely vile. Please bring back the original formula.
