I have been trying to activate my card for months now but you have my number down wrong. Trying to get hold of someone who can sort my phone number out so I can activate my card is near on impossible. I have been waiting for ring backs for weeks and weeks and nothing happens. I can't even cancel the card as you have the wrong phone number for me

Second time I have telephoned Newday re my AO account I have no access to it and rely on monthly statements of what due which is very confusing I try and change password but need account number which I don’t have it’s in account online the annoying customer service send a passcode which I repeat back then a series of questions the the answers to on in my account the account I can not get access to I would not recommend this company as they are obstructive and I do not know how much I have paid or my true balance Due to them I have stopped using AO sad
Update just telephoned the number Newday give me on their rely and I get the same run around and also refused access to speak to a supervisor give my address and then lady had check to tell me she didn’t here it and to repeat it at this point I had enough of been messed about by Newday don’t tell me to telephone and you will sort it when you obviously have no intention to and supervisor refusing to speak to me sums it all up

My wife and I both have individual John Lewis credit cards which are ‘managed’ by NewDay. This month we’ve just noticed the statement date on both cards has been amended without warning and despite managing our finances to ensure sufficient funds are in our bank to pay our respective cards a £800+ transaction was on this month’s statement although we had planned it to be on next month’s. The change of statement date caused this and fortunately we had funds in our a/c to pay the balance it came as a shock! Also the statement date was30th March and was received in the post 7th April saying payment would be taken 9th April (ie today). We will not use these cards again and will use our other cards, ie Tescos, M&S.

Bought some white goods from AO.com on 6 month interest free which was great. Set up and creation of account all went smoothly. However, AO price matched a competitor and so refunded me money for the goods. This meant my DD needed to be changed.
NewDay didnt do this automatically so I rang to ask they did it, which they agreed.
This didnt then happen so I massivley overpaid. I rang again when I could see it on bank ready to be taken out to be told repetedly I was wrong and the right values would go out.
It then did go out incorrectly so I rang to ask for refund and them to correct DD and they couldnt understand issue - wanting to set new DD rate at way more than it should have been. Only after arguing, saying they'd breached the DD guarantee, did they eventually agree to refund.
In the end, I logged a complaint, and they rang to say it was all sorted and would close the case. I asked, but they didn't until the next statement was out (3 days later), as they'd mentioned that would be what would tell me if it had worked or not. They ignored this and closed anyway. Next statement came out and it had old DD value on and I got a letter saying I'd breached the T&C's of the plan and so had been removed from 0%! Rang back and told they'd look in to it and complaint would be reopened. Ignored :(

Customer Service really helpful.ive been dealing with cancer since August 2025 and still dealing with it now they have been very understanding and don't keep you on the phone long.they agreed to a payment plan stright way.i would recommend anyone looking for a credit card to get one with newday

Worst company took over, called Pulse, after Amazon sold it off, and then banned me from buying anything, but demanded payback with 34% interest on top! Totally corrupt and criminal loan sharks I ever had in my life!!

Never missed a payment and ALWAYS pay double.I was given a credit increase last year and the minute I used it the interest was put up a lot.They used the reason I had mismanaged my account.The sooner I pay this card off the better.Disgusting practice to entice me into debt then charge me more interest.
