Whatever you do, do not use their products. I used olaplex years ago and didn’t seem to have any problems that I noticed, however after buying and using it recently I noticed my scalp became extremely red, itchy and irritated. My hair felt so dry and brittle and started thinning and breaking a lot!!

It has been about 2 months now since I last used olaplex products and my scalp is still very itchy every single day and I still lose a lot of hair, much more then I ever used too!

olaplex literally burned off all of my baby hairs and they still haven’t grown back after 2 months, I think olaplex has damaged my hair follicles permanently!

There is a Facebook group called “olaplex hair loss/hair damage” and it’s has 10,000+ members because that how many people have had their hair damaged by olaplex, check it out before deciding if you want to use their products!!

I now use kerastae which seems to be a lot better then this olacrap!!

I used olapex 3. Left for 90 min

I was in February or March 23 looking for a good clarifying shampoo as I clarify on occasion to remove buildup. I got Olaplex 4c shampoo. Nothing else in the line. I used it and two days later, my hair was oily. Weird. Then I used it twice a week trying to actually clarify the oil out. It got worse. In March, I had severely itchy face, and a open area like a streak went down my right cheek. I thought at the time it was something else. Then the eczema started. Then about May or June, my hair was coming out I. A handful every wash. My hair was stringy, frizzy and dry. In July and August, I noticed my hair was getting thinner by the day. At the end of September, I found out about the issues with the products. As a mother person stated, cracked skin behind the ears. And my lips swelled for months. I stopped this shampoo two weeks ago, and the eczema and lip swelling is gone. But my hair is still falling out by the handful. This stuff should be removed from the shelves. It’s toxic.

I’m giving this product two stars as it didn’t work for me. I have also experienced burning, itching and scabbing on my scalp so some of these ingredients are clearly too harsh for my skin.
I had heard good reviews so thought I would try on the back of this and I’m sure it does work for a lot of people, however I know now natural and/or keratin based products work best for me.

I recently bought a variety of products including Olaplex No0 155ml. It arrived with a loose lid and had leaked over all the other products. I explained to Olaplex that lid had become loose and they asked for picture... sent picture with unscrewed lid. Now waiting for a response

Made my hair so greasy for days. Had to wash it everyday for 6 days. Have given it a try in different ways multiple times and had the same results. So overpriced for the amount you get and how rubbish it is. Not worth the buy at all.

Two years ago my disastrous experience with this product began. I FINALLY have grown my hair back. I cut it numerous times, limited the amount of highlighting and only used Bondiboost hair products. My hair still has little curl or wave but I am keeping my fingers crossed this comes back. What I cannot understand is how this product is still on the shelves. The fact that my scalp became highly irritated indicates that there is some chemical in this line that gets deep in to our skin. Enough so that our hair actually falls out at the root. I also question if it altered something in my roots to alter the curl pattern in my hair. I keep coming back here and it breaks my heart to see other women experiencing this same thing.

If I could give Olaplex Lashbond Building Serum minus stars I would!!

After having a severe allergic reaction to the product I got in touch with Beauty Bay as I purchased the serum through them.

After sending a message on the company website I heard nothing.

After a few days I emailed the company again explaining in detail how the product made my eyelids red, hot, itchy and extremely swollen. I ceased use of the product after approximately four days of use and once they had become very swollen and my vision was becoming blurred.

After not getting a response from Beauty Bay I attempted to get in touch with Olaplex directly. They were equally as unhelpful.

Olaplex have batted the problem back to Beauty Bay. I went to them directly to get a resolution for the issue as they manufacture and sell the product. I wanted a refund for the money I had spend on a product that was not fit for purpose and which caused a severe allergic reaction to my eyes.

I would not recommend this product. As you have to apply the serum directly to the lash line, I think with prolonged use this could be very harmful to your eyes. I stopped using the product but it took several days for the swelling to reduce, the redness to subside and irritation to go.

Olaplex should do more research into the ingredients of its products or they should come with a warning. I do not have sensitive skin or eyes so it was a huge shock to have such a severe allergic reaction.

The customer service department also needs to be improved. They do not respond well to feedback on their products and pass the buck. Leaving customers feeling very frustrated and issues are left unresolved.

I have left polite feedback on Olaplex’s Instagram account. Explaining about the allergic reaction that I’d had to the product, for the issue to be resolved and that I would like to hear back from the customer service team. They deleted my comments.

My overall experience with Olaplex has been abysmal and I will never buy from this company again.

This product damanged my hair! My hair used to be thick and long down to the top of my bottom and thought I would try this to keep it in good condition, my hair became thin, dry, brittle and broke off so had to have half my hair cut off from the damage! At first I thought it was a health issue so had bloods done and all came back fine and then realised the only change I had made was using opalex and one of my friends had had the same issue,Since not using it my hair is slowly starting to recover. I will never use again and there are much better products for your hair at half the price

First time I used numbers 3,4,5 about 2 1/2 years ago thought it was fabulous. Very expensive but it softened and smoothed my damaged coloured hair. Second time of buying it great too, third time I bought some I thought number 3 looked different in the bottle and I had heard they’d changed the formula and found it was not so good but still passable
Fourth time of buying a couple of weeks ago, number 3 product thin and watery, shampoo not feeling as luxurious and my hair turned out actually very frizzy and dry, worse than if I hadn’t used it. Just tried it again in case it was just a one off situation and no, really dry and frizzy hair after using all three products. But I feel like it’s number 3 that’s causing this.
Couldn’t now recommend and I won’t buy again.

I've had olaplex treatments twice at an extra cost of €20 at 2 different hair salons over the last 5 years.
Both times my hair has actually looked fried,with extreme frizziness at the root.
My hair actually looked very dull too
There's no soft feeling & I can hear the hair brush tear through my hair.
Spend your money on a good conditioning masque as this is just a gimmick

As a new customer they offer you a code for 15% off your first order.
Code does not work - tried 5 different times. CHAT does not work so you have to email.
Next day email back to say it’s my browser error not their website??? Cleared my browser still does not work.
Contacted them again - I have to pay the full amount and then they will refund the 15%???????
Said I was not prepared to do that and they could not care less - no apology or offer to sort out the issue - so they have missed out on the order and now have another bad review. Would never touch them again

DO NOT BUY -a waste of money! Bought/used the Olaplex Best Bond Builders set (£29.00 - Sally Services - 05/08/23), it's alwful! My hair is soooooo dry looks and feels frizzy/brittle - this product is going back! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY/TIME!

ALLERGIC REACTION! Please don’t buy these products!! Don’t waste your money!

I usually have the n2 treatment done in the salon as I have my hair bleached. Never any problems. So I invested in the shampoo, conditioner, the n3 treatment and the oil.

I didn’t think to patch test as it didn’t advise to do so, also as I have had olaplex in the past (very regularly in the salon, every 10-12 weeks or so) I didn’t think this would be an issue and I don’t have any allergies. Never reacted to any products my whole life so I didn’t think this would be necessary. Oh boy was I wrong. I used the n3 treatment like advised on damp hair, saturated the hair fully from scalp to tips. It said to leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes or longer if required. So I left this treatment on my hair in a low bun for an hour! I now have an awfully itchy red bumpy rash on the back of my neck where my bun sat with the treatment on.

This product will be going straight in the bin, can’t risk this happening to anyone else if I gift it! Awful product and after reading all the negative reviews on here I’m surprised these products are still being sold!

Olaplex number 3 left the hair on top of my head that is more porous dark, brittle, coarse, much more curlier... I cannot get rid of it and now I will have to wait my hair to grow....

Started to use olaplex and it repaired my bleached hair but my hair started to thin. I used olaplex for 8 months but never thought my hair loss was due to olaplex considering how expensive it is and how it is meant to repair hair. I went to the doctors and had a blood test and all came back fine, with nothing to suggest any underlying cause. I also work in a supermarket stocking shelves, so do not encounter much stress. After reading other reviews and watching youtube and tiktok videos of this happening to others; it dawned on me that the over use of olaplex may have caused my hair to shed. I've literally cried for a week about this and strongly believe that olaplex should only be used by professionals.

Shout out to Olaplex! I went on my own personal mission to find the perfect haircare product.
I tried everything within the $30-$50 per bottle range and they were good, but all the same.
Finally I get to Olaplex and with one use I got an amazing result! (My hair looks amazing!!)
Still I wanted to make sure, 3 days later I used it again. And...amazing!! My hair is smooth and manageable. No flat iron, partial blow dry and out the door. It brings out my hair's natural beauty. My search is done. Olaplex 100%.

I have purchased Olaplex on and off over the years when I have my hair highlighted and it’s feeling a bit dry. Stopped using for over a year and recently went back to it, during my break from it I did still use numbers 6&7 before blow drying. I’m unsure if it’s an ingredient change or a bad batch I had but my experience this time around has been awful.
I purchased the full set of 0,3,4,5,6,7,9 on lookfantastic about 3 months ago after having my hair done.
3 seems to be a different formula and less effective.
I then ordered a gift set a few weeks back, again on lookfantastic to stock up while it was on sale.
No idea what went wrong but after using the shampoo my entire scalp was on fire, very itchy and sore so I rinsed it with lukewarm water immediately. Following morning I had to have an emergency appointment with the doctor and ended up needing steroid ointment for my scalp, it came up in big ‘water blister’ type things all over, it took over 2 weeks to settle and I’ve now been left with loads of bald patches and lost a lot of hair. On further inspection of the bottle it has calcified white balls all the way through it which my other previous bottles had not.
I only ever use 4 on my scalp I never use any others on it to avoid waste because of the cost of it so ino it was the shampoo that caused this.
I let olaplex know what had happened and have had no response whatsoever. I wrote a review on the website I purchased from which has not been accepted either.
To say this is devastating is an understatement, I will never use olaplex again and have now binned every product I had.
After my experience I did some research and have found this is happening to a lot of people, how this is still being marketed as the best possible products for hair care is beyond me.
AVOID at all costs.

I used olaplaex no 3, 4 and 5only once. I started losing hair while I was still in the shower. I had itchy scalp and had a blister too. I straight away started searching online for the reviews and found that I wasn't alone. My hair hasn't stopped falling since two weeks. Every time I brush my hair, a chunk of it falls off. I tried getting in contact with olaplex and they denied their products could cause hair damage. They refunded my money, however, money isn't going fix the damage it caused my hair and my confidence. I had a mental break down that day in the shower. Please patch test this product if you ever want to try it because it seems not. everyone experiences this kind of reaction.

Hair is breaking snapping and my hair is so thin now I had beautiful thick long hair I have developed rashes that have bled and very itchy I had to get a lotion from my doctor for scalp and top of my ears. Very very bad expensive and can not use. We should all be refunded and company should be closed down they always have lawsuits going on.
