I love this product, I've only used it twice but what a difference in my hair. I have movement and fullness in my hair. When I first used olaplex 0, 3, 4, and rinsed the the product out I noticed some hair lost. But I continued with conditioner and the rest of the products and experienced softer and healthier feeling hair. The second time I used the product I didn't notice any excessive hair loss at all, my hair is so soft and manageable. I don't understand the negative reviews and I'm glad I didn't read them before I purchased my products because I would not have ordered the products. So don't except every negative thing you read about his product try it for yourself. I'm glad I did, customer for life.

STAY FAR AWAY! This is literal poison. How is this product still being sold is a mystery to me. I’ve always had full healthy virgin hair. Decided to grow out my hair and actually buy an expensive shampoo and condition so I went for olaplex. With each wash i was losing chunks of my hair but i couldn’t believe this highly raved product was the cause. Kept using it like a fool until i started to do some research and found thousands of women and men with damaged hair and scalps due to olaplex. Sadly i have already lost 50% of the hair on my head with bald spots and the remaining strands are damaged beyond repair. Thanks olaplex. I’ve dumped it all and only hope my hair will grow back and i can recover from this nightmare.

I have always had thick, healthy hair. I usedd Olaplex shampoo, conditioner, and bond smoother for two months. Now my hair is dry, broken off and looks singed all over with lots of split ends!
I'm very unhappy with this producdt!

I must add to the 2/3 of folk giving me a bad review. I think Olaplex is over-priced and under performs. Won't be buying again.

Tried Olaplex after recommendation from a friend.
Bought the shampoo and conditioner. My hair was all one length as growing for my upcoming wedding. It has caused breakage to my hair and also inflammation and cracking of skin behind my ears.
Would NOT reccomed.

I’m unfortunately, one of the many that has had a negative result. I work in this Industry and bought everything I could get my hands on, regarding olaplex. I wish I hadn’t. I’ve half the hair I once had :(. I’ve also stopped drying, washing, straightening etc so the reply from olaplex is a laugh. I did nothing but be kind (I thought) in lockdown so used shampoo/cond, 0&3 or the 4 in one mask once a week, then 6&9 before letting my hair study naturally, for about 18months. I stopped using in October last year and I can finally feel a difference, thank goodness, I just hope it keeps improving. Good look every body else x

I have long hair and have always had the best care for it. My hairdresser mentioned
that Olapex was a new popular treatment
so I tried it in Salon along with home care
(Quite expensive)
First time used I was not impressed

Olapex did nothing for my hair I spent so much money on these overly expensive products and they dried my hair out even more my hair looks terrible .I would not recommend olplex.

I love this product , I have been damaging my hair for years , I have using all different box colors also salon colour as I am a hairdresser , I have been qualified for 16 years . I have stripped my hair a number of times ,I am abit colour crazy ,I have been black blue ,green, red all the colours you can think of and then I bleach it all over amd go back to blonde ,knowing the damages I am going to do to my hair and still do it . My hair has been in such bad condition for years but I have been taming it with serums . Last year my hair got so bad that I decided to go and get it cut in a salon normally I would do this my self at home , the hairdresser referred to my hair as a white afro ,because of the damage , she hacked it with the thinning scissors to try amd make it look good layered and box cut then went in and texturized at the end . I hated it because my hair was so thin and like straw . I have since bought olaplex no 0 no 3 no 8 and my hair feels the best it has felt for years . Using it right and not getting carried away because its a new product . My hair now feel full of life the ends feel good ,I have more movement more volume. I will definitely recommend this product and will continue to keep using it on myself . I don't do reviews often ,but thank you .

Here is my review to Ulta about Olaplex:

I hope I'm not too late in giving this review. But, I wanted to share the outcome of my hair appt and the products that were used on my hair at the end of 2022. I apologize for it being long, but I want Ulta and Olaplex to get the message. Also, this review is especially for clients that are being recommended by Ulta to use Olaplex. My appt was in Nov. before Thanksgiving for a simple wash/set with a soft silk press. The stylist was nice and pleasant. She started washing my natural hair. I asked her what product was being used and she said Olaplex. She told me I should think about purchasing the Olaplex line for future use as it had received raved reviews. Of course, my hair was nicely done, but throughout the rest of the day my scalp just felt sore like I received a relaxer. I thought nothing of it and went on my daily routine. After Christmas, I started to notice my thick natural hair was no longer thick. Also, I started noticing heavy shedding. In January, I started using the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner recommended by the beautician and it was basically the same shampoo and relaxer she had used on my hair before Thanksgiving. After using this product twice, once every week, I noticed my scalp burned and I had developed this itch and flakiness. I have not had flaky scalp in years since going natural and my go to shampoos and conditioners were Texture ID and TGIN with no issues before I made this hair appt. By the end of January I could not deny that copious amounts of hair were shedding from my head, also much had broken off and my hair was dry and brittle to the touch. I became so concerned I started doing research on Google about hair loss and what I could do to prevent it. I was recommended Mielle Rosemary Oil and then I found online traffic, especially on Facebook of other women who were experiencing the same reactions from using the Olaplex product line. I immediately stopped using the line at the end of January, but it has been an uphill battle to repair the damage. I am just so mad and angry. I worked very hard to get my hair luscious, thick, and healthy for the last 5 years; and Olaplex which was used on my head without my full consent at Ulta, destroyed everything that I had accomplished in mere weeks. Just recently, Olaplex is in litigation with a group of women that blame these products for damaging their hair. From most of the information I get from Facebook it seems more lawsuits will be brought forth soon; as lawyers are gathering evidence from women around the globe who have been experiencing many of the reactions I have talked about in this review. I hope Ulta is tracking this information and I hope they take it upon themselves to remove the Olaplex line from the store front----really; remove it from their shelves altogether. Also, no longer should they allow their beauticians to "automatically" use these products on customers without their full consent. I should have been given an option of other products to use before she even started to lather my hair. Also, I advise Ulta to no longer allow their beauticians to "recommend" this Olaplex line of products to their clients. I spent over $80.00 buying shampoo, conditioner, and a bonding conditioner----I think the numbers are 4, 5, and 6 and basically I was purchasing an expensive ruinous product at the insistency of the beautician. From what I am told the beautician receives an extra commission for their sale of this particular product. As I write this review I have loss 50% of my hair. And my shedding is still continuing----- abnormally. I experience phantom itching and burning sensations though I stopped using the product at the end of January. I noticed I have developed dry patches on my skin---like my upper back and forehead from the product when I washed my hair with it when I showered. It has taken me a while to decide to tell my story as I am very emotional about it all and I only hope for things to go back to normal. So take what you will from this review and I hope no one has to experience what I have been experiencing these few months.

I have bleached my hair for years and I've never had particularly dry or damage. But I decided to use Olaplex on the suggestion of my hairdresser, and it has totally destroyed my hair. It's dry and brittle and the breakage is awful. I'm so gutted.

I have also experienced a lot of hair loss. I now have to color my scalp with a root cover up.

I'm reading some other reviews and could copy and paste for my experience with 5 of the product's from the olaplex system. I hoped an investment would help nourish my hair and strengthen bonds, so I fell for the hype and splashed out. It improved at first and I continued using for a year or so, only to notice my hair was breaking off, leaving my hairline ravaged with clumps of missing hair and overall hair damaged as if it has been soaked in peroxide overnight. It's so bad I can't do anything to hide the state it's in and I feel so stupid for not noticing it happening or making the connection. My hair now looks like my grandmother when she was in her 80s and I brushed her wispy bits. I wish I was in the US where there's a much better system of accountability with the legal system representing those who are harmed, but in the UK it would be considered a trivial matter to bother the legal system about 'hair'. It may be trivial compared to bigger issues that are more common practice for solicitors to take on, but hair is such an important aspect of appearance, identify and feeling good in oneself, when you get butchered in a hairdressers with a haircut from hell, lose your hair due to medical reasons, or have it destroyed by products that you believed would help it, it's very hard to convey to someone who doesn't understand how this can impact on self esteem. There is a reason why one of the most brutal forms of humiliation for women over the years has been to cut off the hair. I really hope that anyone else who has been harmed finds a way to recover the health of their hair and scalp, and any damage to self esteem. If I'd seen any statements from olaplex that indicated they actually cared about their customers rather than plummetting share prices, I'd have contacted them but it will only make me feel worse to be gaslighted into believing that it was nothing to do with them. This is such an example of the culture of today where there's little responsibility or accountability, no concern for potential harm to customers if it damages profits. Bland statements from PR execs that just parrot meaningless rhetoric that's only function is damage limitation and the companies interests.

The first time I used it my hair felt dry unconditioned. I thought maybe I was expecting too much for a first use. Used it several more times, my hair was dry, totally unmanageable and just looked awful. I often get compliments about my hair, I had none while using these very expensive products that leave the hair in terrible condition. Reading other reviews I am so glad I stopped using it.Lots of much better products on the market.

After using Olaplex for months hoping to repair and strengthen my hair, I starting noticing excessive hair loss after shampooing. I have now lost half of my hair with spots that are very thin. I was using No. 3 two times a week. I noticed that it started burning my scalp. These products do not repair your hair, they cause damage and significant hair loss. I will never use or recommend these products again and want to spread the word about my experience.

My hair started to fall out and I ended up with ball patches in the top of my head and on both sides of my head and one spot you had just got soaked in you can feel the air blowing on it. My hair became like straw and crunchy. I had no idea this product was a cause of me having all these issues.

I am seeing there is a law suit against this company from others experiencing scalp conditions and hair loss. A couple of years ago I tried a range of olaplex products after having my hair coloured.
My head started burning and itching. I cannot prove it however have now been diagnosed with a form of alopecia called lichen planopilaris. I truly believe this product caused the scalp aggravation that I have never recovered from. It certainly isnt for everyone I have experienced hair loss and discomfort

Interesting all of a sudden there are such bad reviews on olaplex. I am here just because I was curious about other people's experiences since the law suits against them, because for me, it has literally saved my hair!
Well here's my experience. After a 'blonde specialist' burnt half my hair off, I was left with spaghetti hair that fell out in clumps. I've been using the pre wash 0 and 3, as well as the intense moisture mask and finish my routine with no5 and 6. About 2 months in and my hair feels like it did before the damage. I can actually feel my hair is restored and the gross spaghetti feeling is completely gone. I am forever grateful for olaplex. Warm or cold water wash once a week, stay away from heat styling and just a warm blow dry, my hair is on the right track.

I experienced the same with this brand, Olaplex!! It was terrible I couldn’t understand why my hair was falling out that much. Someone told me to stop using Olaplex. My hair stopped falling out, it’s finally looking healthier but I can see my scalp specially towards the front due to the hair loss.

I am a hairdresser and have been working with olaplex for over 4 year and never saw hair loss from this product. I have seen it work miracles on hair the was over processed and curly hair that had heat damage. Very said to see what they are doing to this company.The truth will prevail…
