Easy delivery of physical sims for April UK trip and recently just an esim in South Africa and all went perfectly. I've used prepaid sims a few times and happy with them.

Very easy process
Very easy process. Order online. Arrives by post if that whats you choose. Simply instructions that work! No fault while away overseas. I would certainly order again for any future trips.
Pimp chimping
Anna was concise and courteous. I appreciated their response time also. Excellent customer service.
Much better value for money than eSIMs
The coverage and value extras compared to esims is amazing.

Prepaid sim card worked well
I ordered a T-Mobile prepaid sim card which arrived within a couple of days. I was able to activate the card and obtain my phone number before I left Australia. I inserted the card before I left but did not turn the phone on until I arrived. Once I turned the phone on in the US it started to operate straight away and worked fine during my time there.
Excellent sims
Excellent sims with great coverage on our Japan holiday. Was easy to activate and connected immediately upon arrival.
Will use again for our next trip to Bali.
Expensive price but bad quality and slow speed
Last month, I bought a USA and Canada physical SIM card with 10GB for 30 days, priced at AUD $56.50 from prepaidsims Australia
However, I was very disappointed with its quality — the internet speed was very slow. I am very unhappy with it. Never back again.
eSIM card did not work
Unfortunately, my 15-year-old son was traveling to Europe—first with his school, then on his own. We purchased a 30-day eSIM for his trip, but connectivity was unreliable. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. We bought a second 15-day eSIM, which didn’t work at all.
I contacted the support team, but the back-and-forth took up a significant amount of time. It was incredibly stressful trying to troubleshoot this while my minor child was overseas alone. The team kept insisting, “If you had told us earlier…”—but they clearly don’t understand that a teenager isn’t equipped to handle these kinds of technical issues the way they expect.
I do not recommend using this company
Europe sim doesn’t work in all of Europe
Be aware that the Europe travel sim does NOT work in all of Europe. There is no asterisk or indicator on the site to prompt you to check this. It doesn’t work at all in Bosnia or Montenegro, both of which are European countries. You have to click around for more information to discover the countries they do support, which doesn’t list excluded countries, only included ones. I reached out to support and received condescending and rude service. I am a repeat customer, however they were not interested in the slightest in helping or offering any money back. I’m now out of pocket buying another service. By the way the 12GB Europe service is simply a 3 / Three UK sim. Given how easy eSims are you’re better off going direct to a provider because at least then their website is clear and also they should offer SOME customer service. Lesson learned, and I will never do business with or recommend this company again.
Don't expect any help when you have an issue
I purchased a 30 day USA SIM card on 19th Feb. I received an email requesting the details for the phone. I replied to the same email with the details. Within minutes I received a reply with the QR code and the instructions on how to use it. On 8th March we arrived in Houston. I connected to Wifi and attempted to activate the eSim using the QR code but it kept giving an error. So I replied to the original email from Prepaidsims explaining that I was having problems. I received no reply. A few hours later we arrived in Miami. I again connected to Wifi and attempted to activate the eSim but it kept giving the same error. I replied to the original email from Prepaidsims again explaining that I was still having an issue. I again didn’t receive a response. At this stage I had to give up on it and find another SIM. I attempted to contact Prepaidsims through the same email address twice after that and I still didn’t get a response. This was the only way you could communicate with them. I eventually went to Fair Trading and made a complaint. In the complaint I provided the email communications I had with Prepaidsims. Prepaidsims requested that I provide email server logs to back my claim that I had sent the emails. Google does not provide server logs unless they are requested by a court order. So Prepaidsims is accusing me of creating fake emails in order for me to get a refund. This is the mindset of a people running this company to think that I am desperate enough to create fake emails in order to get a refund. I am merely trying to get them to change their processes and stop ripping people off. Save yourself the headache and go to real SIM card company.
Prepaid Sims Australia eSim for Europe-UK
Prepaid Sims Australia is generally fine, except in one area. I wanted an eSim that included phone calls, not just data. This company was among the very few to offer this. So I bought a Europe-UK eSim (30GB) for 30 days which cost AUD$70. Unfortunately, the calls part never worked, and the company did not agree to even a partial refund. Be warned: The phone calls facility did not work on my eSim. I will never buy from this company again.
