Terrible law firm. Buyers solicitors used this firm. I was on a very short chain which should have exchanged and completed well in advance, but they kept delaying until exchange and completion on the same date despite no explanation as to why we could not have exchanged earlier. In addition, they misled the entire chain (including their own client) saying we could exchange earlier but making no attempt to do so. Several delaying tactics later, they then pushed it to a same day exchange and completion despite the client’s and rest of the chains requests. Even then, they were uncontactable for large portions of the day. Three separate “lawyers” seemed to be replying to emails (one was a legal assistant) which meant crucial communications were again delayed. They also decided to raise enquiries very last minute despite having months to do so (same enquiries which were dealt well in advance by more competent law firms). Overall result was a significant delay in getting our keys and huge costs to us personally from having to rebook movers last minute.

Avoid this firm and if you see they are involved in your chain somewhere, be very weary.

My solicitor Sreekumar at Eastmans Solicitors and Notary was great in the purchase of my first home. He was clear and professional in his correspondence, and persistent in chasing the estate agents and sellers solicitors to get the property completed. I'll be moving into my new home in a week's time and I'm very happy.

I advise you to NEVER use them for conveyancing. I visited their offices, spoke with Sajeev Kooran, he is the Director, his office was a run down room with a huge brown damp stain on the wall, and cracks all over. I should have run a mile after that, but a local estate agent recommended them so I thought lets not judge a book by its cover. I had a sale and a purchase case. He never started any work until I complained I am going to use some other solicitors. Immediately they sent me agreement to sign and request £500 advance for the sale and £500 for the purchase. I signed and paid immediately and 2 days after Sajeev called me asking me if I sent the agreement signed, and if i paid. I told him i did it on the same day, 2 days ago. He said ok and bye. I sent some paperwork they asked me and, as i was selling my flat to my freeholder, that paperwork should not have been asked of me cause my freeholder had all the info anyway. They never responded to my emails. I sent a surveyors report and after days i asked Sajeev if he read it and he just said "when did u sent it?" so, he never bothered reading it, i doubt he even checks his emails. He never gave me an update of where we are in the process of signing contracts, he never called me, only when i kept calling asking for him, and when he talked to me it was a call less than 30 seconds and he was being vague. In the end, after all my unanswered emails and having the solicitors of the other parties chasing me for things my solicitor should have done already, when i asked for an update and what work he has done so far, he tried blaming me. I told his receptionist he either email me by the end of the day, cause he never gave me an update, or give me my £1000 back. He didnt bother doing either. Next day my freeholder told me that they sent Sajeev since 25th of September some documents for my signature and they kept chasing him cause he never replied. So, he never sent me those documents for my propertys sale. Also i was called "Sir" in many emails from their compliance officer, i told Sajeev and he didnt even apologise. They also kept asking for the same thing i already sent them, example I sent my passport numerous times. I sent an email terminating our dealings because of unprofessionalism, negligence, insult and breach of client care agreement.again, no reply from sajeev. I emailed him that I am reporting him to Legal Ombudsman and I will also get my money back through County Court. Only then Sajeev kept calling me, i didnt answer, and eventually he realised that taking legal action against him will cost him lots of money, so he gave me my £1000 back

Excellent experience, always quick with the work and finishes the work always on time. And the communication from the lawyers is fast and excellent.

My brother died 9 months ago, probate & IHT was meant to be completed by this dreadful firm. Despite a visit to their office, 12 emails & numerous phone calls we have had nothing back. Financial penalties are now being incurred and they don’t seem to know what they are doing. Next week on the advise of another solicitor I am going to report them to ombudsman & the law society for gross incompetence. AVOID!

I think as many people as possible need to know just how useless this Eastman Solicitors firm is , they are awful awful awful. My poor younger brother died and this abysmal company is in charge of his will and probate. I did a review 5 months ago on 16 March 2024 about this Eastman mob having done nothing in 9 months. Well its GOT WORSE because another 5 months have gone by and they have still DONE NOTHING at all they are DREADFUL AWFUL and causing me alot of anxiety , they dont even reply to simple email asking why they do not reply . I say again if want any sort of service or help with any legal matters you should find another solicitor. AVOID EASTMAN in East Ham they are quite dreadful.

This company has breached their contract with my buyers, as the have not completed the transfer of the car park lease. It is now nearly 2 years 17th December 2021 and I’m am still getting demands and threats and all because the solicitor from Primarc has not completed the final paperwork and notified the lease company of change of ownership. Dreadful state of affairs

Absolutely awful, communication was awful, continuously lied to us when trying to buy our home, nearly caused it to fall through. I ended up doing the work for them and more or less sending it to them to sign as they are completely incapable

Absolutely DREADFUL, had to give one star to continue but that is not deserved. A no chain sale took 8 months, yes eight months with a lot of pushing from my side otherwise it would have definitely taken even longer. Lots of extra costs incurred and unnecessary stress, unbelievable! Stay well away.

Ongoing disaster. No communication, potential incompetence, poor service and arrogance. We are now into week 40 of a house conveyance with no chain and still no completion date, but lots of unanswered questions. We have lost thousands on the delay and the purchasers are on the point of pulling out. We are now seriously considering making a claims on their PI insurance for our losses AVOID

Appalling. Simple as that. Do not use.

My experience with visa application processing for myself ( ILR) and my wife.Mr Leeladhar dealt with both and was very thorough and knowledgeable and explained the options in detail before making the application.
Extremely professional and very swift to send the draft applications.
