Great camera. thank you!

i purchased Canon T3i camera around month ago. I received it well packaged in original box with all accessories. Its being over 3 weeks of me using it and i'm very happy about it. Great store and service. I cant understand all those people who give these guys 1 or 2 stars - i think its just competitors trying to make them look bad. Great Great store!

just got my lens!!!

I was worried cause im taking my kids to Miami for memorial day weekend and didnt know if my new lens will make it to me on time. I placed the order on Monday and got my lens today. Can't be more happy. Lens was packaged very good and shipped same day i assume. Thanks Primotronix. will be happy to do more business with you!

Absolutely useless

We ordered a camera from these people and received an email confirming our order saying it would be 7-9 days to ship. After 10 days my wife got a call from them telling us there was a problem with our zip code (it was correct on the order confirmation) and that they would send it out and it would be with us in 7-10 days. We wanted the camera for our honeymoon which was coming up in just over 2 weeks from when they phoned us, because of this we phoned them back to make sure that the camera would definitely be here in time for that and were initially told yes it would but after pressing a bit more were told it could take a bit longer. This was after being on hold for 15 minutes and being passed from department to department. Eventually I was put through to customer services (don't know why they call it that as there's no service from them) the guy in customer service eventually told me that they didn't actually have the camera in stock and they wouldn't be getting them for 2 to 3 weeks. Obviously this was way to long for us to wait as we definitely wouldn't have it in time for our honeymoon so we cancelled the order.
I will never buy anything from these people and would recommend everyone to stay well clear of them, they do advertise good prices but it seems they cannot deliver on them. What really annoys me is that it took 10 days to get round to phoning us to tell us they didn't have the correct zip code even though it was correct on the confirmation and then told us a bunch of lies about when it would be delivered. If we hadn't phoned them back to make sure of the delivery we would not have got the camera in time for the honeymoon.

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible!

DO NOT ORDER PRODUCTS FROM THIS STORE!!!!! I ordered a camera 2 weeks ago and never received it. I called the company. Someone answered and told me to hold. I waited for more than 30 MINUTES! When he finally answered, he was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! When I told him that it's been more than 2 weeks since I ordered my camera, he said, "so what's your question?" What the!!? I asked him what's taking so long and he said "we'll get it in a few days and send it to you, so wait." After all these days, they didn't even have the product. I told him that this is taking too long and he goes, "so what's your question!?" No apology at all. I was very upset with his attitude and asked him how long it will take for me to get the camera and he said, "I told you. We'll get it in a few days and we'll mail it to you." At this point, I couldn't trust this company and I just cancelled my order. Guys, be smart! It may be cheaper than other company but if you don't get the product, you are wasting your money.

Do not trust this company

I highly recommend never doing business with this company, unless you would like to get scammed and lied to. Their scam appears to be to bait you with a low price on a product they just happen to no longer offer. Then, they will either try to get you to buy a more expensive product or send you an inferior product for the price you already paid. If you question them, they will lie and hope the situation just goes away.

I ordered a Panasonic Lumix ZS15 from their website. The following day, I received a call on my cell phone from a blocked number. When I answered the phone, I heard people talking in the background, but nobody would say anything into the phone and after a few seconds, somebody hung up on me. I then immediately got an email saying they tried to call me and nobody answered, so I needed to call them about my order. I called them right away, and entered the extension they gave me. I then got to be on hold for 5 minutes before somebody picked the phone up and immediately hung up. I called back and was on hold for another 5 minutes before I had to hang up.

Since I was not able to get in touch with anyone, I replied to the previous email that I could not get ahold of anyone and gave them my cell phone number again. I then received another call from the blocked number and as soon as I answered the person on the other end hung up. I tried calling back a little later but they were closed.

The following day, I received an email saying my order had shipped, so I assumed whatever problem there was with my order had been taken care of.

A few days later I received the package from them. When I opened the package, they had shipped me a refurbished Lumix ZS19, which was not what I ordered.

The following day, I called them, and after my third phone call, actually got to speak with someone. I told him that they shipped me the wrong camera. He stated that they told me over the phone that the ZS15 was discontinued so they were shipping me a ZS19 instead. I told him that I never spoke with someone at his company and about being hung up on. He said that must not have been them because they wouldn't hang up on me. I told him the camera they shipped me was refurbished, and he proceeded to tell me it wasn't, despite me staring at the sticker on it that said this is refurbished. I told him I wanted a refund, so he said he would email me the forms to return it. When I received the email, the form stated that they do not pay for return shipping.

slow to ship, but they did respond

They listed a low price online, so I ordered a camera here. For 8 days, the status of the order never changed from "In Progress". No word from them. So I canceled it over the phone. Later they called me re this review & tried to set things straight. Gotta admit that was interesting.

After cancelling the order, I found 1 on ebay for a bit more $. Received it in 3 days - that's more like it!

Stay away from them

Ordered a Canon T3i camera 40 days ago, still nothing. I called them 1 week after ordering, they said call back in 2 weeks, called again and went through long hold, they said not in stock. Stay away from those if you don't want to waste your time.

Awful, Tried to charge me a different price, Item they sent was used & missing parts.

I didn't do my homework on them before purchasing, hopefully you do!
They require phone numbers so that they can "verify shipping information" but they really are just calling to try to sell you more stuff. I said no to all that then they quickly said my total came to something well over what I had purchased the item for. When I objected they seemed shocked that I did not see a fine print disclaimer that popped up when you mouse over an unrelated image on the product page. they claimed that it was for insurance (~$25 for a $280 dollar item). When I told them to cancel the order then they said just this one time they would waive the fee.
I just received the item and it is not what they advertised. they said "all items are brand new factory sealed, complete with all original accessories" None of that ended up being true. The item was poorly packed in a plain white box, and not protected inside at all. It was also missing several of the accessories that come with the item and which they specifically included on the product page.
After sitting on hold for 30 mins to talk to their customer service they simply hung up on me.
So to recap:
- Dishonest and deceptive business practices.
- Item not as advertised, missing parts
- Awful customer service

UPDATE: After posting this review I received a call from their customer service to respond to my dissatisfaction with their company. They have offered to send the missing items and I was told that though the camera was in generic packaging it was a "wholesale" version directly from an authorized seller of the company. They have offered a free gift to make up for my negative experience. I have updated my rating from 1 star to 2 stars based on their efforts to make the situation right.

Bait and Switch

Ordered a Nikon D600 body 0nly and paid for overnight delivery. I received an email the next day that I needed to contact them because they tried to reach me by phone but had the wrong number (NOT POSSIBLE). I called the number and was transferred 3 times and placed on hold for 10 minutes. When the rep got back on the phone he proceeded to tell me that the camera I ordered was a wholesale version of the D600 which he didn't have in stock, but he had two retail versions he could ship right away - the difference in cost was about $500 higher but he would give me a $100 discount because of the mistake. The only difference between the wholesale and retail version were a 1 year warranty, a four hour instead of a two hour battery and a quick charger. Certainly not worth the additional $400. Not only is this bait and switch (ILLEGAL), but false advertising (ALSO ILLEGAL). I've sent the information on to my State Attorney General.

Very helpfull Customer Service

Last monday i ordered a Nikon camera. I was contacted by representative and my order was confirmed. Also he explained to me that camera that i purchased only comes with basic camera and if i want to take long-distance scenes i need zoom lens. He gave me couple options - either Nikon and cheap generic. I went with original one and he offered me a deal with the price even lower than they had on the website. I got a whole package all togather today and cant be more happy. Great service and prices Primo!

Lacking Ethics - Updated 7Jun 2013

7Jun - After several promises to issue a credit for the camera that was never sent, I finally had to resort to disputing the charge with my credit card company. In an email from Primotronix I did receive an apology for their compromised service and an indication they would post the credit just as soon as I changed my review in TrustPilot. I can only publish my experience - which has not changed with multiple broken promises on issuing a credit. My experience with Primotronix is that it spews promises but has no ethical link to keeping any of its promises.


Based on the reviews on this site people seem to like or dislike the service they provide. Count me in the latter group. It appears that if the product ordered is in stock, then they perform well. When the item is not in stock (this is a presumption), then the same promises echoed elsewhere in the reviews: email promises to ship in "24-72 business hours" (which itself is strangely worded): it will be shipped tomorrow and a tracking number will be available tomorrow/then late tonight/then tomorrow morning; lengthy delays on hold; etc.

There seems to be an ethical lapse in how Primotronix communicates with customers. In my experience the ethos of a business resonates from top management and/or owners. Either there is disconnect between the employees and top management or perfect alignment. In either case, some frontline employees demonstrate unethical behaviour. Other than in this sentence, "Trust" and "Primotronix" are two words that are unlikely to be used in the same sentence.

I have empathy for the ethical employees of Primotronix whose reputation is besmirched by their unethical co-workers or management/owners.

Ordering from Primotronix is certain to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience never to be repeated again. Search out reputable and ethical companies. This site - Trustpilot will help.

this is my second purchase from them. 5 monts ago i purchased video camera and now we needed Canon professional camera as a present for a wedding. I opened website and immediately found what i was looking for and just to make sure - i made some price comparison. I was right - primotronix had the best price as usually. Placed the order. They called in to confirm the order in few hours. I'm happy

willing to help

I placed my order on Monday and next day ( on tuesday noon) understood that i ordered a wrong camera, not the one i was recommended. I called their number and nice guy explained to me the difference between camera that i ordered and the one my uncle told me to buy. That camera had a better zoom and 75-300 IS lens bundled. So I made my mind and decided to keep the one I originally ordered. I would return again.

I placed the order and got tracking number same day. Today i got the lens, its well packaged and brand new. im happy, thanks you primotronix

Unprofessional crooks

I placed an order on Saturday, Sunday they call to "verify" my order, upon returning the call they are closed. Then closed Monday and Tuesday. Finally reach "David" and I first had him confirm they had the camcorder. They did, he said. He then says what a great camcorder it is, except for the battery. I informed him I already have purchased a battery online and it will arrive before the camcorder even. He then says fine, well, we can't honor our 3 day delivery you paid for, because we don't have the camcorder in this location. You'll get it in 7-10 days.

I called the following day (Thursday) to follow up on my order, the person who answered requested my name and got me back to David. He picks up the line after some time and immediately says "Hello? Hello? I can't hear you." (Disconnect) After reading what others have said, I immediately called back and asked for Roger. He said, sorry about David, your order confirmation will arrive by the end of the day with tracking. No surprise, it never arrived.

I called back on Friday, asked for Roger but I was transferred back to David instead. He comes on and says that I called yesterday. I explained to him that I was promised a shipment and confirmation on Thursday. He said I would get it by the end of THAT evening, for sure. No surprise, it's now Saturday. No order confirmation, no camcorder and no refund.

Save yourself the headaches and find a reputable dealer. Learn from my mistake and the many others who have posted here and other places. Also check out their Better Business Bureau profile.

Worst Experience Ever

Where do I start?? First they called to confirm the shipping address, they informed us that we had purchased the wholesale kit, not the retail kit (no indication on the order page) and that we'd be getting an inferior battery. I agreed to upgrade to the "Retail" kit... and my scam alert was already going off. Got the camera, but it included a cheap aftermarket strap and I'm pretty sure the camera was used. No original packaging, dust in the crevices... something was up but the camera did work. I called to complain and they said they would get me the correct Coolpix strap in the mail immediately. A week later the strap arrived. My daughter had already left for Paris, so the strap stayed in the package until last night. She opened only to find it was an old USED strap, missing parts, and is too big to be used with the camera we purchased. Today I have been on 5 different calls, on hold, disconnected.... 30 minutes later still not a single person that will help me. Stay far far away from this company. I give them a F-

Best prices and great customer service! Roger Walker ext 501 will take care of you!

I bought an Olympus Tough TG-1 from these guys and had it shipped to my work. They called me 2 days later to confirm the billing address being different from the shipping address and also told me about some good deals. I upgraded to their bundle, but when I received it (within a week) it had a class 4 memory card. The problem was that I never asked what speed/class card came with the bundle, so it was just a communication error.

I just spoke to Roger Walker in customer service (ext 501) and he was very polite, professional and really wanted me to have a good experience with them. He gave me a couple options to solve my problem and really did a great job! These guys offer the best prices around and they're a small company doing their very best to compete with the big guys! Ask them how many people work there, think about their prices and number of cheap bastards like me they have to deal with. Have patience! They're really good guys and really do have the best prices!

Terrible company

Over 35 complaints so far this year with the BBB and the BBB gives them a D- rating.
I ordered a camera that was "In Stock." 3 weeks later and I call to check on status and I am told "yeah it is in stock somewhere in China"

Kept trying to bait and switch me by telling me that this was an "import model with no warranty" even though the ad did not mention this.

Over 45 days later and still no camera. They rarely answer the customer service phone.

Stay away from this company.
