Disappointed

I got a pretty good deal here on the camera I got but I'm not entirely happy. After placing my order I never got a recept for the order or a tracking number which left me pretty uneasy. Shipping was pretty fast but since my item was on hold for some random reason I still waited long than I wanted to. Once I finally got my camera I was pretty happy! I put the battery in and nothing.. Figured it was dead went to go charge it and after a few hours of charging the battery still would not work! Now I have a faulty battery and I'm forced to buy a new battery since I don't have time to wait a few days to get a new primotronix. Overall I was pretty disappointed in the out come.

Pretty much sums it up.
I ordered a product, 5 days later I called to ask why the order was still in processing.
(they claim on the website 48-72 hr processing time). They claim the 72 hrs don't start till I call to confirm the order, even though I received a order confirmation e-mail right after ordering. They then try to sell you on overpriced accesories. I call a few days later and find out they don't even have the product in stock. I canceled the order after being transfered and put on hold several times. After researching them online and seeing many horror stories, I canceled my credit card. Do your homework.

Best online digital SLR camera purchase experience!

It was easy to find Primotrox with Google search.
The product was well described on their web site and the price was the lowest.
I placed the order and received a confirmation within minutes.
The product was actually in stock unlike many places that do not have accurate infor on their web sites.
I did not receive any emails/calls trying to sell me additional stuff.
The product arrived in good shape on the date promised.

Great Customer Service.

I am still awaiting the arrival of the Camera I ordered. Canon T3 EOS 12.2MP. It was a great price and David was excellent when he contacted me to ensure my order was correct and what I wanted. Thank you.

Steer clear of Primotronix, they will upsell you or waste your time, and bribe for good reviews..

Stay away from this company, they have terrible and dishonest business practices. I have dealt with several of these discount online retailers, usually NY based, and you expect a bit of extra aggravation for the cheaper price, but Primotronix is the worst.

UPDATE: I see now why there are so many good reviews for this company... 2 hours after posting this review, I got a call from "<Name Removed>" who saw my poor review and wanted to patch things up. He 1st offered to get the "backordered" camera to me faster along with a free extra battery and UV filter if I changed this review. Since I had already ordered it from somewhere else, I declined, and he offered to just send me the accessories in exchange for me removing this review. I like to to think my word is worth more than $20 in trinkets, not to mention the weeks of my time they have already wasted, I declined that as well. Immediately, he snapped into rude mode again, made a snide comment and hung up on me. This is like doing business with 12 year olds.

I have never been so happy to have spent $100 more with a different vendor, just to avoid further hassles by this horrible excuse for a retailer. STAY AWAY!

I tried to order a Canon Rebel T3i, as they were the cheapest retailer online with them.

After you place your order, you receive a bare-bones order confirmation with no tracking number or shipping date, or expected date. They are then very quick to call you back with the upsell call. For me they tried to upsell me to a much more expensive kit with the same camera, but a few accessories. When I declined then they tried to push a bigger battery on me (for $150, when the same battery can be had for about $20 on amazon). Then they talked down the warranty, sating it wasn't a real warranty, even though their website ad which I screencapped said otherwise. I threatened to cancel if the warranty was not intact, and then he corrected himself and agreed there was a warranty. When he realized I was not going to bite on anythign else, he quickly said it would ship out tomorrow and hung up on me.

It is 2 weeks later and I did not receive my order, even a tracking number, and my card has not been charged. I called them and after a long wait, they told me it is backordered and would probably be another 2 weeks. I said fine and hung up.

After confirming my schedule I realized 2 weeks more would be too long and I needed to cancel. I called back, and after another long wait, I spoke to a "<Name Removed>", who I informed I needed to cancel. He looked up my name, and immediately went to "get rid of this guy mode" and told me he'd transfer me to someone who could help and immediately booted me onto hold, which simply disconnected me after a few minutes. I called back again, got his name, repeated my request to cancel and how he had hung up on me, he quickly excused himself, asked for my name again, and said he could cancel himself right there. I guess he just had to waste another 10-15 minutes of my time, that's why he couldn't do it the 1st time around. He repeated twice I'd get a confirmation email of the cancellation, I'm still waiting on that, I should probably go ahead and put a stop payment with my credit card company anyways.

Overall, Primotronix is dishonest, rude and will simply waste your time. They pull a classic bait-and-switch, lure you with a low price and then attempt to switch you or upsell you. If you don't play ball i guess they label you as a bad customer and put you at the end of the line and treat you poorly. I have seen right here int eh reviews that someone ordered the same camera kit I did a day after me and already received it, so I know the backorder thing is a lie. It's also still listed as in stock on their website.

Stay away from primotronix, the money you save is not worth the amount of time and hassle they will put you through.

Great Company! Polite and Dependale

I was at first timid to order with Primotronix at first due to seeing some bad reviews online. However, I do realize that people lack patience and courtesy these days and they want it now. So I gave PTronix a shot. I called and make an order for a Nikon D7000 package deal. David was very informative and helped me with what I needed. Package came on time and all seemed well. I had one small plastic clip for camera strap defective and the B-11 monitor cover was missing. Not a big deal to me but I called Customer service and they immediately fixed the problem and got those pieces in the mail. They get 5 stars for honesty and support. It's okay to have a mistake if your willing and ready to fix it. They get 1000's of orders and small stuff like that should not get peoples panty's in a bunch to give them a bad review. The price is right and I will most certainly be ordering from them again.

I am now a happy camper and you can disregard and reconsider the review below; just as I was writing this review," Roger" from Primotonics called to make this right! with an apology; so apparently these people can be worked with. he's refunding the difference I complained about and I am keeping the extra battery! Good for you Roger.
Canon wanted a lot to repair my camera ; so I found these folks on the internet. A new camera body was close in price so that's what I ordered. The price was supposed to be 249.99.( freight included special offer) They took forever to effect my order. I thought a battery was included in the deal ( which it was) however the sales rep. convinced me it wasn't and sold me on an additional battery. I asked for an itemized bill, which I was never given; instead a convenient " package deal" was shown for 338.99$ I was assured the battery was an upgrade, which it probably was/is. BUT not an 80$ value. The same battery can be bought elsewhere for 30$ less. I have contacted these people to no avail! AND I ended up with an unneeded extra battery and an extra 80$ charge. So much for saving a buck! And YES the sales rep was rude and full of slick 50!

What a Let Down

I ordered 10 days ago and I get a message today to call about my order. I contacted them but the agent was argumentative trying to sell me a battery. I was already upset at this point and told him to cancel my order. The reason I went to order from this company was the ratings but not sure what really happened and how I fell for it. They should have at least apologized but the agent was not very friendly at all so I cancelled my order.

Great customer service, low price.

I ordered a 55-250 mm Autofocus Lens for my Canon Rebel Eos T4i camera from Primotronix. They contacted me to confirm my order and the camera I was ordering it for to make sure they were compatible before shipping. Great communication and customer service. Assuming everything arrives in good shape, I am very happy with this purchase. The price can't be beat!
