Fails the basic test of not being defective in 5 different ways simultaneously

[See update below]:

Everything is broken.

The idea that they don't even have a functional text editor so they say we should type it up on a separate word processor, and then copy-and-pasting it in to the box... that's just lazy coding. It's disrespectful to make me do more work, so they can do less.
Whatever. .

But then there's no box. Literally! On two browsers. I run a small retail business, and I couldn't get away with a website this defective. The idea that this is a website company, with a captive audience, that people depend on for their livelihoods, and this is how they operate -- that's just preposterous.

Edited two days later: I e-mailed for help at the e-mail I was told to... the e-mail I sent to support@schoolspring bounced back undeliverable with a generic note to possible try and let them know via phone. I tried the support phone number they publish, and it asked me if I was under or below 50 years old, and then a recording tried to sell me medical devices. I am now writing this updated review while I'm on chat with "Hr Kanasu" who, over 20 minutes already, has only managed to ask me how I'm doing, and which school district it's for. I then asked, do references have school districts. He says no. Then he gave me a new phone number to call, which asked for my applicant number, but I'm not an applicant. Then they said I should e-mail my screenshot to the e-mail address that we already established doesn't work.

I am trying WAY too hard to write someone a reference letter. I give up. Shame on any school district that uses this app.

So bad if I could give it a zero or negative number I would there’s no phone number to talk to anyone and the chat box is just a robot. I am so completely frustrated. I have saved the same application five times because every time I go back to it. Everything is gone!

New SchoolSpring is a disaster. Unusable.

After having a SchoolSpring account for over 20 years and easily applying for jobs that fit my needs, the "new" SchoolSpring/Powerschool partnerships is a disaster. I lost my teaching job this spring due to budget cuts and I am no longer able to navigate SchoolSpring, but for most teaching jobs in the area it is the ONLY way to apply. I keep getting a message: "Failed validation-Email incorrect format" but with no explanation as to how to overcome their glitch. Their "support" is pitiful

I'd give it zero stars

I'd give it zero stars, but that is no an option. The new owners ruined SchoolSpring, and it is no longer a viable option to find a school-based job. It is terrible. You can't actually view any jobs unless you already have a specific employer or job title in mind, and there are no longer any jobs anyway, b/c no one is using it due to its being awful. And the porting of your info from the old system was very half-butted and lost half my stuff, and we got no warning last year. So, TL, DR: IT SUCKS.

It's a sham now

It's a sham now! Just called their "1-888" customer service number to see why they won't send me a new password. It put me in contact with a health insurance company.

Are you kidding me?

Are you kidding me? I paid extra for my transcripts to be validated. Now they’re not even on the site. How can they do that? My cover letter is gone. Resume gone. I hope all school districts abandon the waste of a site.

Terrible

Terrible! They shouldn't have messed with the old! This new schoolspring is horrible. It is not user friendly! I know many job seekers as well as school districts who were posting jobs using the old SchoolSpring will not use this new one. I refuse to use it as well. After reading the recent reviews, I am not alone on my opinion either. I am not sure why they thought this change was warranted but it was not!

Horrible site

Unless you have the job ID, it is impossible to search for a job. It is impossible to use wildcard characters to search. No wonder our district is still short on staff! I KNOW we have postings, and I know the exact job titles, and they still don't show up here....

Major Downgrade

This used to be a really great, easy-to-use resource. The "upgrade" has been detrimental to the user experience. Major downgrade, what a bummer.

Site is useless now

A site that used to work so well is now absolutely USELESS. You cannot search by state and you cannot do a general search, you have to search by specific job title. Absolutely USELESS. WHY?????

This wasn’t an update, this was a planned merge! Did you know that schoolspring is a platform for recruiting companies? Good-bye job security!!

What a mess Schoolspring has become!

Whatever PowerSchool did to SchoolSpring, they should un-do it. Why would you take something that actually worked effectively and destroy it. ALL of my stuff is gone- Letters of recommendation, test scores, transcripts. I had to start completely from scratch, despite following all instructions. And now I can barely get signed in most times, you can't just search jobs by state anymore, and I get kicked out every 5 minutes. What a disaster.
