Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 27 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant disappointment with the product, citing issues such as a lack of flavor, burnt taste, and an oily aftertaste. People also frequently mentioned the inconsistent quality of the crisps, noting variations in color and texture, with some appearing overcooked or stale. A common complaint among consumers was the quantity of crisps in the bags, with many feeling that the packets were only half full or contained mostly crumbs. Some reviewers also raised concerns about unexpected elements in their packets, while others were concerned about the use of poor-quality potatoes. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that the crisps had a great taste and flavor, and appreciated the amount of crisps in the bag, considering them superior to other brands.

What on earth has happened to the flavouring? Especially cheese and onion. They used to taste amazing but now there's barely any flavour and the crisps are burnt. I certainly won't buy these again The... See more

Customer service are really unfriendly

Customer service are really unfriendly. I wrote them a nice email with some friendly suggestions and my observations as a customer. Never got a reply. Followed it up but no reply. Logged a complaint via their website to say their email system wasn't seemingly working and got no response other than an email asking what my complaint was. I responded to Caroline but have heard nothing since. Really disappointed. I must have bought tons of these crisps in the past 50 years but no more. Spread the word, just another cold and faceless company despite their friendly marketing.

My experience is horrendous to be honest, I’ve left 2 messages for then to contact me, no one did this, so I called them same again no one is available to pick up the phone to answer and help with a problem, I did an online enquiry to them same again no one will help?????

I bought a multipack bags of crisps. Opened these to find a very strong smell of fish 🐠 disgusting as well, the bottom of the bag inside has some liquid as it’s wet.

This has to be the worst customer service I have ever had. Still no answer to my messages and calls 2 weeks later!!!!😡😡

Terrible crisps

We recently brought a multi pack of cheese and oinion Seabrook crisps. However they were all ready salted I rang the complaints line and left several messages NOTHING. I tried emailing them but still NOTHING.
The big disappointment is that Seabrook do not have the courtesy to respond to complaints.
A totally ignorant company who do not deserve to remain in business.
I shall never buy Seabrooks again. Terrible crisps with no flavour.

Really really bad

Really, really bad. Cheese & Onion with zero flavour. No full crisps, just broken bits and a strange old oil/fishy taste?
Cannot believe how bad they are. Once a great snack but something has clearly gone severely downhill.

Seabrook used to be my favourite…

Seabrook used to be my favourite crisps-
Since the addition of Rapeseed oil they now taste absolutely horrible, very greasy too.
I know there is a problem with the availability of sunflower oil so I'm hoping that Seabrook will go back to using 100% sunflower oil if/when the sunflower oil crisis resolves!
I'm very restricted in my choice of crisps as they have to be Gluten free- which only leaves the likes of Kettle (hard work on the teeth!) and Tyrells, both rather expensive.
Being coeliac crisps are a 'must' as I eat them in preference to the coeliac breads, which are mostly pretty awful!!

Customer Services No Response On Stale Crisps

Customer Services ignore emails.

We purchased a few packs of these crisps and found inside the multipack stale crisps due to the fact that the seams were not sealed correctly.

Certainly not up to the standard they used to be.

Let’s hope Customer Services see this review.

Seabrook crisps used to be my absolute…

Seabrook crisps used to be my absolute favourite - but then they ditched the trusted “See what you buy” packaging and introduced foil packs + tasteless crisps. Our local butty shopped stopped stocking them due to customers complaining. Not bought any for years now, but have just tried the Worcestershire sauce flavour - which tastes good, but the crisps are still nothing like they used to be… not like a real potato McCoy’s or Kettle potato slice - more like a shaped false texture… so very disappointing compared to how excellent and perfect Seabrook crisps used to be.

These were good back in the day

These were good back in the day. The company based in Allerton now based on ingleby Road. Quality definitely gone downhill. Bought some ready salted & tasted like they were cooked in old fat & very oily. Salt & vinegar wasn't much better either, fairly strong taste & not very nice.
Compared to Walkers they gone a long way to go to come back to what they used to be. Won't be buying Seabrook again.

Anybody else think that crisps should…

Anybody else think that crisps should rebrand as Seabrook crumbs?? Particularly in multipacks the crisps are not only crumbs but also black/dark brown. I remember when Seabrooks were the best but sadly not anymore. Also, I sent Seabrooks a message with a photo of the contents of a packet of salt and vinegar crinkle cut and they didn't even have the courtesy to respond. Sad that what was a great brand is now seriously lacking quality.

Reduced volume.

Nice crisps but check out the loaded fries version very carefully for value. You only get a paltry 19gm of crisps per packet!
