Good start...not so good afterwards

The operators helping to install the security system were very helpful. I rescheduled twice and they were very accommodating. My installer, Paul, was very cordial but I'm not sure if he actually completed the installation. During the first visit, he mentioned that he didn't have enough batteries for all the sensors in my home. He came by the next day with new batteries but I don't know if he installed them. There is a battery next to each sensor in my house and I don't know if it's the old battery or the new one.

In another incident, I called Paul to have sensor added to a door to my garage. During the initial installation, he suggested that we wait to have it added because the door had been kicked in and it was not closing. He mentioned nothing about an additional fee or a charge for a next visit. I figured he would come back soon and consider it as part of the initial installation. After repairing the door, I called Paul to come out and install the last sensor. Unfortunately, he was at a Army reserve training but he was able to get someone else to complete the job. During the service call, the technician informed me the trip would cost me $25. I was outraged for 2 reasons. First, I should had been informed about the fee in advance. It was completely inappropriate for me to be informed of the charge AFTER the technician was already at my house. Second, the initial installation of my alarm system was never completed. I figured this trip was part of my initial installation. In this trip, the new technician was kind enough to waive the $25 trip charge, but that was after he got me to pay $75 for a new sensor.

I have called Paul, my "personal technician," three times since. I have yet to receive a phone call back.

I sleep better knowing my house is secure

We purchased our security system from TDS about two months ago.. The installer was prompt and explained everything that was need and how he would install everything.. Installation was fast and the system works GREAT... Would recommend TDS to anyone wanting a security system..

The guy who installed our alarm was really helpful and offered us some good suggestions on where to place glass break alarms and other features, based on the design and layout of our house. REF# 5626250413

Good service and good follow up

ADT sent out an excellent tech, Jesse James, who was very professional and patient as he explained the system to us. We had a minor little hitch which he promptly fixed. We are very pleased with the service and pleased with our system.

Typical big company, over priced and impossible to actually speak to someone helpful

I was told when I bought this service with a 3 year warranty for a house I was renting...that it was easily transferrable with little cost. This is so misleading! First of all, the equipment is costing a fortune. Also, they make you sign another 3 year agreement. So I researched other companies...even paying off $500 early termination fee..I'm still coming out ahead going with any number of other companies. Their installation is so much cheaper and their monthly monitoring services are about $15 less than ADT. Now I am just trying to get the system turned off and pay my final bill... I have been on hold 30 minutes! This is the 3rd time this week I have tried to call. The second time they said someone named Adam would call me back...3 days later and still no call. Now I am wasting another day on the phone listening to music while being transferred 4 times to "another department". Finally the quote with my big discount was $1500 install price and $50.99 a month! That is double what it cost to install the first time. This is crazy... Never ever will I deal with this company again. Run, don't walk away from this over rated, over-sized company. They are really nice roping you in...then you are at their mercy.

Very Good Service

I am satisfied with my new alarm system and the Securitychoice team. I was contacted immediately and my security system was installed within the next couple of days. The security tech walk us through the setup and suggested what we should get based on our security concerns...Thank you Securitychoice.

Easy to use and great customer service

The system is very easy to use and I sleep so much better not having to worry about someone breaking in or my kids sleep walking and going out the door. Everyone I have dealt with has been extremely helpful and very friendly. I am very happy with my purchase and so glad I chose ADT.
