the dress I ordered was nearly 600 euros and was of very very poor quality of material and cut. I sent it back but 3 days later it arrived again at my home. I lost a lot of time to contact the company on the phone till I received a new code bar to send the item back. After a long time I finally received a mail telling me that my return has been approved and that I will be paid back within 5 to 10 days, but I still do not have my refund back. what can I do ? Late return
I was late with my return and asked if they could take the item anyway. They offered help and extended my return window immediately, I received email in a minutes after sending, very professional!
Amazing customer service
Customer service was amazing,I needed assistance from overseas, and the team responded promptly, were incredibly considerate, and went above and beyond to accommodate the changes I needed. I’ll definitely continue shopping with Self-Portrait, such a great experience!
Chaotic service and disappointing…
Unfortunately, I had a very frustrating experience with Self-Portrait. I ordered & paid for two dresses, but received four, including duplicates and items I didn’t order. Returning them turned into a mess, with vague communication and repeated errors. Despite multiple clear emails from my side, I had to keep explaining the situation over and over.
To make matters worse, the return wasn’t processed properly in Klarna, which created even more admin chaos for me. The quality of the dresses was also underwhelming and certainly didn’t match the price tag.
Although customer service responds quickly, they don’t actually seem to read or understand the messages. All in all: chaotic, unprofessional and not worth the hassle.

As a loyal customer who has spent over €5,400 on 11 dresses within just six months, I’m very disappointed by the strict refusal to consider any exception to your 14-day return policy. I was travelling and couldn’t return an item within the timeframe, but the dress is unworn and in perfect condition. For a brand I trusted and repeatedly supported, I expected more flexibility and understanding.
Rigid policies shouldn’t come at the cost of customer loyalty and satisfaction. I hope they will reconsider how they treat their valued customers going forward.
In addition quality of the dress (buttons coming out easily) is not always there.

I can not give even 1 star! I ordered a dress a month ago. Track & trace: label needs to be made and package is still in UK. I tried several times to call: no anwser, left voicemail messages: no answer. I mailed several times: no response!

Do not buy there : they are thefts. I ordered two dresses early May based on recommendations of my sister. I did not like the style of the dresses on me, it is definitely not my style (also bear in mind : it is 100%polyester and made in China, thus the price is also exaggerated for the quality.) Anyway , I did not like them and returned them in May 17th. They got them on May 21st. I sent them two emails to know the status of the return : no answer. I start to chat them on WhatsApp and they told me that they treat returns within 14 working days. After this time period , still no refund . I chatted them for days and now the conclusion is :…. that I would have sent back only one dress out of the two dresses. I am heavily shocked to be suspected to be a theft (when it is obviously happening at their side..) and they proposed me to refund me only one dress when I returned back two and they owe me more than 800€!!!! I escalated the situation and look forward to a favorable outcome. Keep your money and don’t buy those dresses ! They keep and steal your money !
Bad with refunds
First time I ordered from them, they never refunded me even though they had received my return. I had to chase it up several months later and it was not an insignificant amount. Had I not noticed I would have never received it back.

FEES and FEES
Very disappointing. They charge $10 return fee AND $10 restocking fee which is not listed anywhere on their website. I would never have purchased from here knowing this beforehand. That's $20 to return and unworn dress that doesn't fit me. Seems like a money grab and I would have expected more from a high-end brand. Will NOT be purchasing from here again.

This is my first time shopping this brand since a friend recommended. However, When I receive my parcel, I am so disappointed due to there is no belt only dress.I made a call with customer service.They let me take the package picture and email to them or WhatsApp. Whatsapp need to wait a few days which include in 14 day policy. and they told they can't find a belt and only refund. What a funny thing, a global cloth company can't made a belt. I want that dress but they totally ignore my needs.

Company gives weird scam vibes
I bought a dress for £450 with express international shipping 3-5 days. After 8 days, it had not arrived and was showing as not delivered to the postal carrier by the sender. I sent numerous unanswered emails, and texts to their WhatsApp line. Eventually, they responded by email that the parcel had been returned to them by the postal carrier, and would I like a refund or “replacement.” I responded that I wanted the dress I ordered sent to me. No reply. I emailed again. They said “your parcel is lost in transit, would you like a replacement?” Funny, it was returned 2 days prior? I responded again “I want the dress I ordered sent to me.” 2 days later, “please see below, your parcel is lost in transit, would you like a replacement?” Lady, I’m not asking for the specific lost in transit actually returned to you Schrödinger dress, I’m asking for the same style. All throughout this I was texting their WhatsApp and being told “it’s under investigation, please wait 48hrs.” I even rang them internationally; no answer and no response to my voicemail. It’s now been more than 15 days, no dress, and customer service still saying “do you want a replacement” every time I say I want the dress I ordered. In the end I gave up and asked for a refund (which is yet to be paid). Which is when I came to look at the reviews and saw that so many people have had similar issues or parcels not sent and bad customer service. Are they a scam? I don’t know. Do they give weird scam vibes? 100%

Everything works fine until you need to return an item. You need to arrange the return yourself, which is quite costly if you are shipping from abroad. I already paid 20 euros for the shipping when I ordered the item, now I need to pay again for the return. I have no issue with the product itself but I would buy their items from another retailer next time.

I’m honestly rethinking buying online from here. You have to pay for shipping and the return, which you have to handle on your own — and that’s way more expensive for a private person than for a company. Sizing is super inconsistent too. I ordered based on similar items I own, from XS to L, and none of the things I got fit. I was ready to reorder in other size but I’m not paying extra again. Just not worth it.

I took the gift voucher and just wanted to buy something with it online but it says it is expired!! I came 1 month too late. Absolute shocking how much money they make just because customers miss the deadline! I wil NEVER buy again from this brand!!
