I have been a customer with Spacer for approx 5 months and the process has been a breeze. Clarisse in particular has been so wonderful to deal with an showed understanding & flexibility with making payments. Great communication and customer service. Thank you Clarisse.
UPDATE: I would like to thank the Spacer team for their prompt response in addressing this issue.
Original Post:
I have been in contact with Spacer support since Day 4 of my booking asking for help. I cancelled my booking on Day 4 due to a significant number of issues. After a phone call with support, several email tickets as well as chats, support told me that they would get in contact with my host. Since then my host has been sending me messages which are in a bad taste to the level of harassment as well as distressing phone calls. This has caused me significant anxiety and undue stress and is taking a mental toll on me to the extent that I do not even wish to use my parking space until the end of my agreed term as I fear for my safety.
After almost a week of having to follow up, all I get is a "Sorry to hear about that" and that I can still use the Space for a month.
In a phone call I was told that the money back guarantee lasts 24 hours but if the host says he is not available during that first 24 hours, what do you want me to do?
All of my reports and concerns were replied to with a "Sorry".
In addition the contract which I agreed to was falsely advertised and Spacer could not care less when in fact contracts would be considered null and void in such circumstances.
Below is the summary of the prior issues which led me to cancel my booking:
- Space was advertised with access to pool, gym, spa and sauna. When I spoke with the host he told me the management has an issue with me using these facilities which was one of the primary reasons which I was willing to pay $500 while other spaces in the area are significantly cheaper.
- On Day 1, the neighbour was parked in the parking spot and I was told to park in the Visitor space. Also key card was not functional.
- Day 2 and 3 I did not use the space.
- Day 4 I received a working card but was told the neighbour objects to me parking in the Host's space and that I should park in the neighbour's parking space which was on the other side of the parking lot.
- I decided to cancel my ongoing booking on Day 4 and notified host. Host told me he will have to take my security deposit as he had to specially organise key card for me. I believe this was unfair as a key card is a necessity to be able to access parking.
- Day 6 I received a message that the host wants me to return the key card ASAP while Spacer has already charged me for a whole month and is not willing to come up with a solution.
Clearly safety is not a priority for Spacer and neither is integrity.
Pay extra and use Wilson Parking, at least you won't have to worry about something happening to you.

I have been letting out my garage space through spacer for a few years now. Easy to list, they promote it well and lease it within a short period. Prompt payment every month. I had a renter who didn't pay, but spacer covered it under a guaranteed payment scheme and I got paid. Highly recommended if you have an empty space, someone will have a use for it.
My experience was excellent. The space was clean and well secured and easily accessible. Communication with Spacer and my host was very good. I had no problems or issues of any kind. Having this space was a great help while my apartment building was being seismically retrofitted. With limited access to my garage I did not have to move my car and leave it exposed to the elements on a daily basis. I would absolutely use Spacer if I need a parking space in the future.
Spacer is reliable and efficient with great customer service. Highly recommended!
i have 2 storage cages whih were not used in my investment properties. it was very easy to use Spacer and find long term tenants for both cages. Little extra income :)
I have a booking organised for 3.5 months thanks to Spacer.
This is the second booking I have received through the website.
I've been trying to contact them for past 1 month to let the other person know that I won't be able to rent out my parking anymore. They never reply to emails or calls and now there's no other way to contact them. So unprofessional behavior!! It's a fraud, be careful.
Spacer offered no assistance when my car was damaged. They simply do not care. Their insurance policy does not extend to vehicles (only boxes stored) or that’s at least what they told me. Extremely disappointed and would never recommend Spacer to any one.
Spacer has been so easy for me to use to rent out my space! Customer service team is always super fast at responding too.
For the past two years, I've been able to consistently host my car park rent. I am fortunate to have discovered spacer.com!!!
As a host I have found Spacer to be reliable. Never had any issues. They communicate well and clients have been really good. I would recommend Spacer.
I have used Spacer a few times to lease my car space and I am very satisfied with the way it is operated; holding bond process etc.
Terrible Experience. I booked a storage unit via the Spacer website, Pansy the owner of the storage unit in Barina Downs, Baulkham Hills, NSW cancelled the booking and jacked up the price, with some lie about having 2 units and using that one for herself. Ok, i rebooked at the higher rate, waited a few days for acceptance, booking cancelled for the second time and again she jacked up the price. After the third time, I requested to see the space before booking, perfectly reasonable request, apparently I needed to formally process a booking to confirm i was genuinely interested and then proceeded to haggle via a spacer representative about price. Booked with a reputable storage provider for double the jacked up prices on a long term lease, best money I will ever spend. Beware of Spacer and Pansy.

i rented out my carspace monthly ongoing so i could eat....at present... on sister sight parkhound but booking was picked up in spacer so ta very much to them as well as park.now when i first listed many months ago i had price too...high so lowered a few times to get result as also sd by park...to do so too but im sure spacer would say like park..sd to me in written offer u need to have price in ballpark not out of it or u wont get the hits.when i adjusted price it was booked within about 7 days.also i put very nice accurate st view and photo and looked very appealing.i say to anyone host renter would u want to lease or rent a grotty spot as ive seen a lot are and very inaccurate stview and photos...make thek look great accurate and appealing
ive had o probs with renter and have never actually met them and got paid eft within the three days as stated.the only constructive criticism for parkhound is i found listing it had a few issues trying to put info in about the area etcunless it was just me....maybe they could check if that part of listing has any nonsmooth issues.....so all i can say to..... parkhound ....and ...spacer .....is keep up the ...fantastic work guys..........
I used Spacer to rent a car space and their customer service was great. They answered a few questions I had and were extremely helpful.
Booked a garage for storage 3 weeks in advance to find literal rubbish from previous tenant .
Spacer attempted to auction the rubbish off to no avail .
I moved in with the space left as I needed it and couldn't wait any longer than I had. Spacer were less than helpful and after refunding me 1/3 of my booking cost proceeded to charge me again for the month notice for cancelling a booking.
No attempt to help me relocate nor to have the rubbish removed which is mind you still in the garage .
As a tenant and a host I'd suggest you don't expect anything from them in regards to help.
They say they are merely a 3rd party and even then once they collect payment which they will call you about first chance if it's not made promptly they are of 0 help .
Read all terms and conditions prior to using this place. I won't call it a service as I can't say I honestly received any from them

I've been renting out my car space with Spacer for a few years. Been super easy, no hassle. Nice little extra earner for what would have been dead space otherwise.
