Best Pilates lessons with Covadonga!

A few machines are always broken, without anyone looking into them for weeks, not days. Toilet is also often broken with a hundred of people in the gym and only one toilet available. Changing rooms are often so wet, with puddles on and under the benches. At least, people are nice and friendly

Unfortunately, our experience with Jiandro Curial at SportCity has been disappointing. We experienced several interactions as unprofessional and disrespectful, and at times his behaviour made us feel uncomfortable.

We also know of other members who have expressed similar concerns about their interactions with him. In our opinion, staff members should communicate respectfully, maintain appropriate professional boundaries and help create an environment in which every member feels comfortable and welcome.

The phrase “Treat yourself better” should, in our view, also be reflected in how members are treated.

We hope SportCity continues to take feedback from its members seriously and uses it to maintain a professional, respectful and welcoming environment for everyone.

Become member from €27.99 for 4 weeks?? Misleading!!

I am leaving this review to warn others about misleading pre-contractual information and unfair billing practices at SportCity (specifically the Rotterdam Conradstraat location).

On May 18, 2026, I enrolled in person at the club's reception desk. The employee assisting me explicitly confirmed that the payment was for a fixed 28-day period (4 weeks). I agreed to this and paid the full amount for those 28 days upfront in cash. Having read online reviews about subscription issues with fitness clubs, I explicitly requested the immediate termination/cancellation of the membership right at the moment of enrollment to ensure it would not auto-renew.

Despite paying in cash for 28 days and giving clear, immediate notice of termination, SportCity's administrative system artificially extended my membership end date to June 18, 2026. They are now demanding a pro-rata charge of €5.43 for a 4-day period (June 15–18) that I never requested, agreed to, or used.

When I visited the Conradstraat location to clarify this, the branch manager was dismissive and unhelpful, falsely claiming I had "signed online" (when I enrolled in person at the desk) and refusing to acknowledge the verbal agreement made by their front-desk staff. Central Customer Care has been equally unhelpful, sending repetitive automated responses and threatening to transfer this formally disputed charge (betwiste vordering) to a collection agency (incassobureau).

Under Dutch consumer law (Art. 6:230m BW & Art. 6:217 BW), verbal disclosures made by staff during an in-person cash sale are legally binding and cannot be overridden post-sale by uncommunicated terms.

Be extremely careful when enrolling here—what staff verbally promise you at the counter does not match what their system later invoices you for. (Membership No: 1019008771)

For me the most important thing at the gym is to have free access to my machines without crowd of people occupying them all the time. Raaks is fortunately less crowded than the rest of similar gyms.

All workers are good kind and helpful and nice location for me

Clean and a sense of a community with clients and staff members. However, might consider changing gym as they're don't have much 24/7 gyms available around my area.

I keep returning for Cletis’ lessons, all of them are great! I travel between the different clubs especially for his classes!

He is probably your best teacher and I hope you feel the same and give him all the praise he’s so well deserved

Nice gym with good group lessons

It was great because of the choice of equipment; a large array, but no confusion as the equipment was appropriately spaced.

It's the place that makes me feel like I'm improving every day, and I'm grateful to everyone who is part of this team.

I cancelled my subscription in time to not get charged with the next payment. Yet, when i check my bank balance, it seems I forcefully paid 16.86€. It is not the price of a one month membership nor YANGA subscription(which I NEVER purchased it). I also didn't cancel any membership before it ended. So what the hell is going on? Also the broken machines must be repaired faster. Some machines take weeks before replacement/repair.

I want to congratulate the outstanding customer service of Ilijana. I was getting really frustrated with an outstanding payment situation and she was very kind and understanding throughout the whole process. Not only she understand where I was coming from but the matter was solved within a week. Customer service can be mentally and emotionally draining and I "take my hat off" to those, who treat customers like me with such dignity, respect and sincere understanding. I really appreciate everything you have done for me Ilijana.

I find it a well equipped gym. All necessary machines are there. Fantastic employees !
However, I find it a little dirty. Cleaning could be done even more often. Too many lockers are broken and should be exchanged.

I train at Zeist sports city gym around 4 to 5 times a week. That gym environment is good but your gym is too small specially the cardio area where I train through my body weight like calisthenics or free weights workouts so try to make it bigger this area🌱
