False promises, Glitches, Blocks, and Canceled Orders
The website contains misleading information about a $20 bonus for registering an account with purchases over $350, but this feature does not work. As a result, I overpaid $20. What’s even more surprising is that after completing the payment, the website canceled my order — very strange. I also tried to submit feedback on the company’s website to report the glitch, but I was blocked. These guys clearly don’t know how to maintain their website: everything keeps crashing, orders get canceled, money is charged without control, and customers are blocked. Unacceptable service.

I went to Sporting Life a few days ago to buy a shirt for my son and a lovely girl with blond hair named Riley helped me. She was extremely friendly and helpful and I found exactly what I was looking for after her help. It was a great shopping experience because of her!

Ordered a pair of hiking boots online
Ordered a pair of hiking boots online. The delivery service made it almost two weeks late. I went online to write the company about it taking so long and I saw that a couple of days after I had ordered that the boots were now 25% off. I wrote and asked if they could give me a discount for my troubles since the boots were discounted so soon after I bought them. I got no response after I wrote them twice.
I can understand if they wrote back saying "no" in some form. But no response at all is a slap in the face for already bad service.

Don't trust website about stock
Orfered an item that was listed as being in stock. Received a cancelation email from them saying it wasn't in stock. Weeks later, the item is *still* listed as in stock. Emailed them to ask about item, received no reply.

I have made a couple of large purchases with Sporting Life (many hundreds of dollars for each purchase), and I can say they have been a pleasure to deal with, and also have given me some of the best prices for the items I have purchased.
In the course of purchasing with them, I have had to return an item that I bought online, to one of their physical stores. I had no issues with the return, and everyone was very friendly. I then re-purchased a similar item online from them, and after purchasing it, I found the product to have a lower price from a competitor. I went through their price adjustment policy, and their customer service was easy and friendly to speak with. The price was adjusted, and I am thankful for them being easy to contact and discuss the request with them.
I have no complaints about them, and from my experience, they are very good at what they do, and have a great selection of products. 5/5.

Terrible Customer Service
Sporting Life has some of the worst customer service out there. I received a defective item and after contacting customer service was told that the defect doesn't fall under their warranty coverage. This is the second time I've dealt with Sporting Life's customer service and both times have been extremely disappointing with zero resolution or accountability on their part. Last time I ever buy anything from this company.

Horrible (none in my case) customer…
Horrible (none in my case) customer “service.” They never answer the phones. Bad policy for a retail store. I wanted to check if they had an item in stock. Called three locations in the GTA. All recorded messages saying the had higher than normal call volumes. - all time of day! So basically normal call volumes that they choose not to deal with. If you wait to speak with someone it is never answered, even after 5 min orf ringing. I remembered the same experience from 2 yrs before which explained why I’d been avoiding them.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. To return an item costs $60. No one you can call except a store and they cannot assist. Never order online.

Sporting life has absurd return…
Sporting life has absurd return protocols and overall terrible customer service. I ordered a pair of tennis shoes, I tried them on at my house and they seemed to fit. I then wore them for an hour long (beginner) lesson, and realized they were way too wide and would not give me the support I needed. I tried to exchange them for a smaller size (well within their 30-day return window for exchanges), paying out of pocket to mail them back, as they do not cover the cost of mailing back returns. They then had their staff go through no less than ten emails back and forth with me, refusing an exchange as they had been worn (despite the fact that the shoes had nothing wrong with them) and that I didn't mail them back with the box. How does a sporting goods company expect people to know if a product works if they cannot even test them? There was nothing wrong with the shoes, and the time it took them to argue with me extensively about their return policy, and then ultimately mail them back to me does not seem like a good use of their time or money, as I will literally never shop with this store again. In today’s highly competitive retail environment, I'm shocked this company doesn’t prioritize and put a higher value on customer satisfaction.
