Ordered bike online

Ordered bike online. Attended store only o be told it was sold out and I must not have not received and update.

Went back online and still showing in stocks for sale.

Tried calling another store in Richmond Hill to confirm. Phone rang 5 different occasions during open business hours. Let it ring over 40 mins each time.

Atrocious customer service. Maybe if store focused less on expanding its huge stores and focused more on customer service. Will meter shop in person or online with them again

Worst shopping on-line experience

Ordered a sweater on-line, it had a manufacturing defect, no customer service # to call so I e-mail them for an exchange, 3 weeks later and still waiting for a reply….0 star if I could.

Worst online purchase I've ever made

Worst online purchase I've ever made. Shipped a new snowboard all the way from Quebec to BC in a box with NO PROTECTION. Came in dusty and a bit rusty. Customers are responsible for the return shipping.

Good Experience

I was a little iffy about ordering online, given the reviews that I read but since you can file a dispute when using PayPal, I decided to take my chances. I was looking for a pair of winter boots by a specific company (and style) and I found them on Sporting Life's web site. All of the other sites either didn't have my size or they only had one colour (everyone seemed to have the same pair) - these guys had my size in the color I wanted and they were on sale for less than other vendors. I placed my order yesterday and just received it today. No issues whatsoever. My only comment (take it with a grain of salt) is that the sole of the boots were dirty so someone likely returned them. I would have perhaps just checked and removed the brown crap before reselling. I'll need to try them on in the house to make sure the fit is OK, but so far so good.

Liars

Bought a sale item and once I checked out the following day they emailed me and said the item is out of stock. I went back to the website only to find out that it’s still available but on regular price. I contacted the customer service and they were lying saying the warehouse didn’t update the website but it’s been days and the item is still up on the website, they just don’t want to honour my purchase of the sale item. Liars and no customer service at all.

After reading many poor reviews I still…

After reading many poor reviews I still went ahead and ordered. I ordered my shoes on Feb 1.. I got home today Feb 3 and they were on my door step! I was in shock. I checked the status yesterday and it said not shipped so I was definitely not expecting that! Would order again!

Terrible on-line customer service

Like many other reviews of SLife on-line experiences, I am seeing no SL action in resolving THEIR error.
- Dec1, I ordered high end BLACK cycling shoes, on sale and non-returnable; this I accepted, assuming the correct product.
- Dec9, opened couriered package to find WHITE shoes (correct model and size)
- emailed Customer Service Dec9, first response on Dec13 (LaRissa) acknowledging my case file
- I have emailed multiple times (no SL phone #), requesting they call me; auto responses each time and second 'personal' response on D16 (Larissa) saying it would be referred to "support team"
- still no action by D21; simple solution would be to send prepaid FedEx return slip and send me the correct BLACK pair after receipt of incorrect WHITE pair.
- SL presents itself as a high end quality sports retailer; my experience thus far is that it is a big box store retailer with terrible customer service

Helpful staff, easy exchange process.

Very helpful staff. No trouble given when returning the Save The Duck coat I bought for my son. The zipper had jammed and even though it had been several weeks since our purchase, since the zipper broke on the first day they gave me a full exchange. Staff are always helpful and friendly and there is a huge range of great products to choose from. We choose a different coat and were very happy with it.

My online experience was good

I ordered a pair of boots and a boot care kit on November 13 and I received my items the following week. After reading some bad reviews I had some reservations, but I got exactly what I ordered and quickly. They just opened a store in my city on November 19 which I visited and it is quite nice.

It has all changed

This is not about quality of service. The store that opened couple years ago was different. You used to walk in and pricing, expertise and assortment were all at high level. You were to spend premium buck for premium goods that are unique like nowhere else and you had a top notch service from trained personnel. The expertise is still somwhere there - to get your shoe molded you have to set an appointment and come another day, when department manager is there. Because he is trained. So it is not service offered to me, but rather I have to go after the service. Then pricing. It may not be so bad if you are subscribed and get all these offers and discounts through the email and messaging. What hurts the most is selection. Unique brands are gone. Orthovox, Mammut, Black Yak and alike. But, frankly I can buy the rest elsewhere at a competitive and very often better pricing. I can choose Hudson Bay for better Polo selection and buy Adidas and Nike at specialized brand stores and outlets. So why even bother to come across the city into luxury set, expensive store if better choices are around the corner? It has changed branding, service is going and it will follow the path of the bunch others - there used to be Zellers, then Target at that location before... Dá-dá!

Wow so bad.

Wow. If I could rate negative stars I would. DO NOT shop here. Absolutely no customer service. Online experience is terrible. Website is flawed can’t even check out with a gift card. Multiple hours of time wasted trying to contact these guys. After a while they start ignoring you. Still no resolution. The owners of this business should be ashamed. Terrible experience. Save yourself don’t do business here.

I would give 0 star to them if I can

I would give 0 star to them if I can. Had a very upset experienced from purchased my tennis racquet due to the inexperienced salesperson over promised for re-string the racquet, tried to made a complaint to the store manager but even more turn off from his bad attitude! Dunno why they hire those non qualified ppl as a store Manger. I won't go shop there anymore.

Perfect delivery/Excellent Prices

I ordered 2 pairs of Nike Challenger shorts online..great prices $28.97 and $ 37.97. Got the 1st item in 2 days..excellent local delivery service. Got the 2nd one ( sent from BC) Sept 7th UPS...right to my door. Excellent value, great service. Sporting Life has become my favorite store, especially with those Sporting Life Rewards.

Great Experience

I am from Nova Scotia and I placed an order for kids clothes. The following day I decided to check the reviews of sporting Life and was so disappointed I considered putting a stop payment on the order. Well I am writing this review today to tell you I had NO issues at all and received all my ordered within one week and exact size and product. Thank you Sporting Life I will not hesitate to place an order in the future!!

Great deal. Fast, free shipping. No complaints!

I treated myself to an Arc’teryx jacket that Sporting Life had on sale for 40% off, final sale, no returns. Other retailers that had the same jacket, only had them on sale for 20% off. I also needed a small and all the other retailers only had XS or XL on sale. Before purchasing, I read the terrible reviews of Sporting Life on this website but decided to roll the dice because it was such a great deal. I ordered the item on Wednesday and it arrived less than a week later, on Tuesday via FedEX. The shipping was free. The jacket was exactly as described, and exactly what I expected. There were no flaws and the tags were attached, but the tag card stock was worn on the edges which was odd. Overall this experience was excellent and I couldn’t find the same deal anywhere else.

I am not happy with your customer…

I am not happy with your customer service I ordered products last of last month and yet they not yet delivered and I asked for refund and a refund was not made
Am asking myself everyday that is this company really true or they are scamming people.
