A ripp off
A ripp off.
Just had to cough up
£113.30 payment on a table freezer of under £250 as annual cover.
This definitely is out of tune to what I agreed.
I requested that the insurance be cancelled but was told I had to pay fully for the coming year.
This is ridiculous and unacceptable . I have my appliances cover paid monthly and should reserve the right to cancel when I decide.

Behaves like a data farm.
Makes you sign up before you can see which devices they accept, and it's pretty much just apple devices so this is useless to 90% of people. But now they have your data! and they refuse to delete it.
I requested they delete my data and stop emailing me in 2022 and they have done neither to this day. They still email me and still illegally have my data.

Poor phone quality - BEWARE
UPDATE
Spring sent the phone back after allegedly fitting a new screen and battery (no issue with the battery before it was sent)
I now have a phone that is dead as it will not charge rendering it useless and leaving a child to travel 10miles to school on public transport with no means of communication and me paying line rental and data package charges for a phone that he hasn’t been able to use for the last 2 weeks
There is no way for me to speak to Spring directly and I have to do everything through Back Market so sadly I would have to advise people to think twice before buying any phone from them

Bought a phone via backmarket for my son 6 weeks ago (iPhone 11) and paid for a new battery and excellent condition
Screen has stopped working and is clearly a non standard part so is now going back for them to repair leaving my son without a phone for his travel to and from school
Customer service has so far been OK since I flagged the error but will be interested to see what happens when they receive the phone back for repair
Will update the rating accordingly once the matter reaches a resolution

Sorry you've had issues with your sons phone and we understand this can be frustrating. Despite our rigorous testing unfortunately things can on occasion go wrong with refurbished phones. This is why all our phones come with a 12 month warranty. I can see you have spoken to us on our website webchat which we're very happy to do and we've provided the info and reassurances we can. However as you bought it through Backmarket you have to log any issues with them. Any problems during the first 12 months you just request a return in a few clicks through Backmarket and we'll deal with it as soon as we get it back.

Really easy and straightforward
I picked up the pack at my local co-op, and just followed the instructions. I loved that it meant all packaging and postage was sorted and I just had to scan, enter the relevant info and pack. Speedy payment too. Will definitely use again and recommend.

You did correctly declare the phone as broken. As you'll see on the comparision website you used all the prices for broken devices are shown as an 'up to' price. This is because a broken phone could be something that can be fixed easily or it could have multiple issues.
I can see that our team recently explained your phones touchscreen was faulty which meant we couldn't fully test the device and also would mean a significant repair which is why the value was lowered.
We do always offer free returns if you choose to not accept the offer. But I can see you have accepted the value and withdrew the payment.

I can see you correctly declared that your iPhone X was broken. On the comparison site you used I hope it was clear that all of the prices listed there were 'up to' prices. Unfortunately the phone was cosmetically broken (on all sides) and also the touchscreen and speakers were also broken and so we couldn't pay the top price for this condition.
We did still make an offer for the item and you could have rejected it and we would have returned this for you for free not problem. But I can see you accepted this and withdrew the funds.
