Had to pay for it, not worth $$$
Had to pay for it as it was "pre-installed" on my new Mazda. I wish I did not have to. If you have a choice, refuse this option. it is useless. Website is glitchy, customer service is not existent. Basically a scam.

I bought a truck and this feature didnt sound optional when signing but it was. I've had the truck 2 days and wish there was a way to cancel. They call it an App for your phone but its just a website. The locator is telling me my truck is at least a mile from where it really is. My truck has been parked in the same spot for 7 hours, but it says its been there for 12 days. It also says its moved around to different addresses 3 times today while still saying its in the same spot. This is junk and its useless... I wish I could cancel. What a ripoff
The whole service is a mess. It shows my car as being a mile from where is actually is. I set up alerts to notify me if the car exceeds a certain speed, is moved from it's current location etc. I have never received a single alert after exceeding the set speed and moving it from the current location. The only people at Stargard who actually know how the system works are in the IT dept. and they dont talk to customers. You're forced to try and get help from a customer service rep. who knows very little and can only tell you they'll create a ticket for the IT dept. Avoid Stargard if you can .
I recently purchased a 2024 Highlander and had Starguard installed. I received help from Jessica and Skylar to set up the app on my cell phone. Thanks.
I purchased a Ram p/u and the dealer said they install Stargard on all of their vehicles for fleet management and to assist them if a vehicle is ever stolen off of their lot. Mandatory. No ifs ands or buts if I buy a vehicle from them. Well, unfortunately for me - they had the only truck in the Western US that had all of the options that I wanted and none that I didn't want, so ok - despite not liking their $700 add-on.
Fast forward, I drive home (two states away) and everything is perfect & I love my truck. I go to register the stupid Stargard system and it shows the device as "uninstalled." I contact Stargard and they say to bring it back to the dealer and they will fix it at no cost. Well, not doing that (900 miles one-way & at least one night in a motel). So they say they will send me a new module and find an authorized installer in my area (with no cost to me). One week goes by - no word from Stargard and now the Uconnect system in my truck shows an error message on start-ups and says that it requires service.
Contact Stargard to complain - again - and they apologize claiming that I should have been contacted and the module should have been sent but (for unknown reasons) it hadn't and they said they would ship out. So still waiting.
This system blows...
They have the wrong address for me. I tried to correct it after purchasing the car and they never updated it. If their GPS can't locate the car at MY address where it is 99% of the time, how are they going to locate it if it is stolen??????????????
This morning I got an alert that the car was moved. IT WAS NOT! It's been sitting in my garage!
I called to find out why I received the alert which said 0 speed, so obviously it had not been moved, and the recording said it was after hours and someone would pick up. No one picked up either of the 2 times I called and let it ring and ring and ring. They say they are available 24/7...NOT!
WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!
I got this vehicle monitoring service for my Porsche Macan for $999 for a permanent membership and find so many things i don't like i do not recommended this service and I think Porsche San Diego should not be pushing it on new customers. It’s only good for companies if that. For retail, it’s a waste. The notifications of vehicle movement is often many minutes late. Last known location is often wrong. Each notification comes in as a new number so u can’t associate it with a contact so u know who it’s from. the website is abysmal. No App. Do not waste your money with this service. It’s frozen in time. No innovation.
